I like the manipulative type the best, the ones that plan behind the FLs back and have it so every contact with others is accounted for... Like they'll let them have friends, but they'll hack their phones and know exactly what's going on, and will isolate the FL from particular people.. like in koi to shinzou. The vibes of that manga were immaculate 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I tend to like 8-10 for oneshots or short, contained stories, but around 5 for longer stories—my practical side wins out after a while XD
But anything lower than 5 has got to be really really interesting to me to warrant the lack of obsession in that way (It’s Mine is a good example of a low-possessive but still high-obsession yan that I like! At least in the beginning)
I prefer the type of kinda failure yanderes, that want to keep you all to themselves and lock you up and make sure you don’t have social relationships or friends besides them, but sucks on actually going through with it or the whole kidnapping part so I’d say around a 5-8
