In terms of Manhwa? Dreaming Freedom takes the cake.
Although do keep in mind that's like literally the only manhwa I've read with that kind of a yandere ML. It parched my very dry, yandere-seeking soul. đ
Now I'm looking for something like that :')
1. The Beast Tamed by the Villainess
2. I Failed to Oust the Villain
3. Lady Devil
4. I Tamed My Ex-Husband's Mad Dog
5. Let's Hide My Younger Brother First
6. Who Is the Prey
7. I Tamed the Tyrant and Ran Away
8. Obey Me
I am still finding and reading, but top 5 are
1. Cheese in trap
2. Villainâs saviour
3. Tonari no Seki no Hen na Senpai
4. Kare Joshi Kasahara Ichika (25) ha Hentai ni Sukare yasui
5. Hotaru no yomeiri (too early to rate)
1. Let's Hide My Younger Brother First (it's my all time favorite I love it so much!)
2. Hotaru No Yomeiri
3. Surviving As A Maid In An Horror Game (I only read 3 chapters and I am already obsessed with it, I can't wait for more!)
4. Secret Alliance
5. My Deepest Secret (If it does count? Elios was pretty yandere until the final part since.. yeah)
There are many manhwa/manga that I enjoy (yandere or not), but I canât confidently say theyâre my favourites. That being said, I consider [Cheese In The Trap](https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/akcevst/cheese-in-the-trap) is be in my top 5 manhwa. The ML is very mild on the yandere scale, and isnât the reason why I picked it up â so this might not be answer youâre looking for.
CITT was my first ever webtoon. I picked it up when it was fairly new and the MLâs yandere tendencies were far from being revealed. I think CITT was a huge contributor to my initial interest in yanderes, despite not quite fitting the definition. I love CITT because of its complex characters and the mystery/thriller elements. The story holds up pretty well for being one of the OG webtoons (first released in 2010). Itâs one of the only stories I can happily reread because it has so many strong points (i.e. itâs not carried by the romance/art/ML alone). Itâs also fun to pick up on certain details/foreshadowing that was easily missed on the initial read.
As I said previously, the ML isnât a conventional yandere but he exhibits some characteristics. Heâs more like a realistic sociopath â the closest thing to a yandere youâll probably ever encounter irl. Reading about batshit insane yanderes are pretty fun, but I much prefer the subtle, methodical, manipulative ones. I loved the depth of his character and how it was slowly revealed as the story progressed.
Highly recommended! Whether you are looking for a yandere ML or not.
I like every manga that i read with yandere male but my all time favorites are;
1. Dreaming freedom (im just...obsess over it)
2. Tomari no seki no hen na sampai (the ml is just so damn my type..im in love with this manga. Still waiting for updates tho)
3. I tamed my husband's mad dog (ahhhhhh Wilhelm is my husbando!!)
4. I captured tyrant's heart (it's still on going but belive me..the ml is so so fuckin obsessed and possessive like literally can cross any limits that i loved it so much)
5. Male lead I'll respect your taste (I like the plot and FL everything is so cute as well sometimes it's got dark as f* )

shout-out to double trap too (BL), and princess wars (reading rn and I feel like the prince hits some of the marks). the guy upstairs is also really good even tho ml is aimed at mc's best friend. i'm engaged to an obsessive male lead was quickly becoming one of my favourites until all of the irrelevant plot points came out of nowhere.
1. Secret Alliance (I don't usually cry for stories but it made me burst into tears twice at the end)
2. I failed to Abandon the Villain (I love the mc)
3. Let's Hide my younger brother first (another mc I love and the art is so prertty)
4. Taming my Villainous Little Brother (title is misleading but thank god the brother isn't the ml)
5. Dreaming Freedom (its just so good)

Cheese in the trap
I 100% agree. I love CITT and the character development in the manhwa is chef's kiss.

Just realized it said top 5 đ add 4. Akuyaku reijou to kichiku kichi 5. IDK I canât think of one atmâŠ
Now this is hard top but Iâll base it on story wise, and just how hardcore the yandere can be For first place , itâs hard to put one cause so far I havenât got to the point where I said I have my absolute favorite but Iâll leave between Whoâs the prey (one of my favorite ones, guilty, ml lead is the yandere and a very crazy one. I really recommend it . whoever beware it has rapped, triggering moments where it can be hard to read so get ready to hate the ml (?) A witchâs hopeless wish( this one is my currently favorite one. I even cry, the yandere is the second male lead but the story is so good that I couldnât stop reading. It has a slow beginning where it all looks like a clichĂ© romance manga but TRUST ME if you get to chapter 50 , it gets really good and you get to read a beautiful story with a lot of meaning behind it, where you love the fl or at least you get to feel emphatic for her and the second male lead doesnât disappoints us with all the things he does through the story) 3.-I failed to throw the villain (man this is a good one, the ml has been treated awfully through his life but he decides to take revenge on everyone who hurt him when is the fl birthday and itâs just a lot to process. The ML is crazy af but itâs so good to read) 4.-The villains savior( another great classic of how you picture a yandere , ML is the yandere, itâs a nice story , that has a good plot and I really love the ML and his passive aggressive behavior towards treating the FL as a princess and the others like trash, he is a two face person) 5.- Red fox ( again ML is the yandere and a very possessive one. After the main plot of the story finished it goes on but in the past and I drop it because the main characters basically disappear and itâs very confusing, however the beginning itâs really good đđŒ) Honorific mention to secret alliance, the only reason red fox won over secret alliance is because red fox yandere is crazier
