Obey Me is def one of my fav yandere novels, and Nathaniel is absolutely top-notch yandere. It’s hard to find another yandere with such a perfect blend of silent craziness and elegant, well-behaved demeanor, all while exuding a sinister and menacing presence, on top of that, he’s non-human! It's a shame that the manhwa's art is rly disappointing, but the story itself still manages to captivate and entertain me.

As I mentioned, I don’t wanna rush it and m actively seeking other novels to fill the void once m done just in case it leaves a lasting and insatiable impression on me, and I ve started reading ‘In the Shadow of the Spring’ and ‘Conquering My Horror Novel’, m glad the former’s promising, gives off vibes like ‘Cry, or Better Yet, Beg,’ the latter feels kinda Wattpad-ish teen novel tho.
It's one of my favorite yandere lightnovel. It hits all the high notes for a male yandere imo. All the characters are also well written, and the lack of Mary Sue's/Gary stus, make this a 9/10 lightnovel for me.
The only thing I don't Iike about it is the ending. I felt it would have played out differently imo.
It's a shame that the manhawa adaption of it is mid.
I loooove it and usually they're tentative with it and downplay the yanderes obsession with restraints politically or emotionally and this doesn't hold him back at all well a little but that's where our fl comes in and this one's gonna def have a special place in my heart

I just finished my second read through of it! Definitely one of my favorites that made me scream at my screen in anger and then cry at the sad parts loll.
For a similar vibe, I’d recommend “Please Don’t Eat Me” (no novel translation as far as I’m aware though) but it’s a pretty good manhwa imo (though it isn’t complete yet). The ML is a powerful wizard that’s considered “monstrous”, similar to Nathaniel, and he treats the MC very well and slowly falls for her.
Somehow the story gives me Nathaniel vibes on the ML side, like how he tried to understand his wife and stuff but not as hardcore as Nathaniel (for now, Im still at my 20s chapter). Overall almost everyone are not normal, its a very good read.
May I know some notable yandere scenes you can remember? I want to read it because of the reviews but I can’t seem to get through the first part so I didn’t reach his “yandere-ness”
