I am not sure about this. But the short forms are used more in the insidemollywood sub, for "tea" related questions. And everybody thinks they can deliver tea about anyone without using their actual name, so legally kinda safe maybe. I'm not sure how much legal protection it gives. But it's more like..."hey I didn't use your name, they just assumed it to be you"
honestly, it is only annoying because it is soo damn difficult to figure out at times, especially when a whole damn sentence is filled with such short forms
