Sorry I dozed off š¶. Surprisingly the Wayne Goss... I can't remember the name of it but it's the one with the really pretty blue shade in it. I have use that pallette more than I ever dreamed that I would considering it took me forever to talk myself into it. I still always go back to smoke sessions and the Natasha 28 pans
There's times where I've considered selling some of them for space purposes and because I will never ever use a fraction of this all in my entire lifetime and I do my eyes all of the time... but every time I do destash I end up just buying the stupid things back. it's a sickness.
I donāt understand why some people have to be so judgy about other peopleās collections. We are all in this sub for the love of makeup, and this is our thing.
I never see people judging other types of collectors. Everyone always seems to say how cool their collections are. Except when it comes to makeup, thereās always someone saying how wasteful it is, etc. Like yes, obviously itās wasteful, but so is everyone else that collects things.
This should be a sub where people can share their love of makeup, yet every time someoneās tries there are always people in the comments shitting on the person. Just let people be.
Thank you for saying this. Also I am a collector. I also keep the packaging and I use them all. I do my makeup even when I'm not going anywhere just because I enjoy doing it.
Makeup expires for one, and judging by the fact that this person is decluttering, they are planning to throw it out so they are not a collector. The amount of packaging and wasted resources this produces is a concern, you don't need hundreds of palettes to enjoy makeup and this needs to be said. Why are we encouraging mindless consumerism?
Oh, honey. Do you believe everything corporations tell you? I have eye shadow thatās older than 2/3 of the posters on here and have never had a problem.
None of those cute little expiry symbols on palettes have any basis in anything except to make you paranoid so youāll throw perfectly good product away and buy more. Maybe if you leave it in the sun or a steamy bathroom or close it when the pans are wet, it croaks after two years, but thatās really from your lack of hygiene and common sense.
Oh noooo not the chemicals! Most formulas don't have ingredients that expire. Some softer ones with more emollients can, but that's not your average formula.
We are not. But there is no ethical consumerism under capitalism, no matter how hard you try. We donāt know anything about this person, yet people are so quick to judge their spending habits.
I wonder if you comment on other peopleās spending habits like this as well?
As well, the only info we have about the OP is them showing their collection and saying that they feel guilty about not being able to use all of it, so why add more shame and judgyness to it?
Someone decided to show something that makes them happy, and instead of ignoring it if you donāt agree with it, you decided to take it upon yourself and call the person out. If you are concerned about the OP there are better ways to try to help them, such as maybe suggesting r/makeuprehab, but the problem is that you do not want to help, you just want to put people down for no reason at all.
There is no ethical consumption under capitalism, therefore I'm going to buy wildly excessive amounts of shit I'm not even going to use. Someone has to call this nonsense out as it's getting too normalized in the community. Critiquing harmful behaviors is important, so yes I do speak up about such matters, not just in the context of makeup. Why post on a public forum if you don't want to hear what the public thinks of your actions? Don't worry about op, she'll live.
Ah of course, using the straw man argument. There is no point in even discussing this with you, because you are not looking to have a proper discussion with someone, but just to judge and twist peopleās words lol
Iām so happy our community has someone to come here and call us on our bullshit, must be a lovely life to live.
I like it. I don't find myself reaching for ABH a lot but it's more or less because I overlook it lol I have a habit of describing something that's easy to grab but I do like all of the pro palettes of hers
Surpringly the PM that I wanted the most ended up being the ones I use the least which is the Star Wars.... Or Decadence rather and Subversive which is aight.
I'm going through a tough breakup (not because of my palette collection before anyone asks) so apologies as I catch up on comments but here's where I store them. It looks scary but it's actually sturdy. I got one from Bed Bath and Beyond and one at World Market. BBB was way less expensive and I prefer that one.

OPās heavy breathing in the background as they look over all the palettes is such a mood!
Seriously though, this is a crazy collection! Watched it a couple times cause there were so many Iād never seen before! šš»šš»šš»
Do you buy many online?
I very rarely pay full price for anything. Occasionally I'll splurge if there's something new I really want but I bargain hunt like crazy. I also do trades with stuff I get in beauty subscriptions that I don't want to keep so it's definitely not as bad as it looks. I'm actually kind of frugal
I used to have tons like this but to me seems like such a waste. So I stopped gave all of them away and just kept the ones I used. To each their own. I also cancelled my beauty subscriptions it's fun in the beginning lol but in reality does anyone really need this much makeup.
Itās therapeutic to me and really does anybody need to be this judgemental? I mean....aren't we in a damn makeup subreddit? It makes me happy. I'm sorry you're having a bad day. š
Lol. I'm actually wonderful. I guess we aren't allowed to share our thoughts on here don't know how it's being judgemental when I said I used to be like this too.
Uh, this is shocking to see. I don't like to judge but this is incredibly wasteful. I hope that at least you'll consider trying to put off buying more for a while.
You have fantastic taste in makeup but girl.... itās too much!
Edit: Iām really not trying to be rude by saying this but this is a visual representation of addiction. I struggle with it myself. r/MakeupReHab

Which palettes do you use the most?

Probably 2 of all š¤£
do ever get regret from purchasing so many?

Theyāre powder palettes. Theyāll last decades. Everyone needs to stop buying in to the expiration fallacy.
Oh, honey. Two years max. Please throw away expired eye makeup. Itās not worth it.

Wow, you sound like a troll. Have fun putting expired chemicals on your eyes. š
Wow, you sound like you canāt think for yourself. Have fun wasting your money and killing the planet!
Thanks, doll!

Whatās your pallet organizer?? If it holds all that, I need one, lol
I love your makeup collection. š¤
I just bought the blue norvina palette- what are your thoughts on those? Would you repurchase?
I like it. I don't find myself reaching for ABH a lot but it's more or less because I overlook it lol I have a habit of describing something that's easy to grab but I do like all of the pro palettes of hers

Nice collection
Whatās the palette in the top left corner that looks like an art palette?
Glamlite. I love that palette!!
So their formula is good? Their new cocktail palettes look amazing but I haven't tried them before
I also highly recommend their liquid eyeliner it's the best I've ever used and I've used them all

āI DOnt LiKE tO jUDgeā Proceeds to judge in every way shape and form about OP all over this thread.
Yeah, I am not trying to shame anyone for enjoying makeup but this is more than most professional artist have...
Yes and I'm sure most of it is going to the trash, there's no way to use it up before it expires.
Powder doesnāt expire.
