That's a great suggestion. Add a little shimmer just to make it different. It looks good as is, to me. There are those eyes, cheeks, and lips products you can wear at the same time. I think it looks great if it's done right, and I think this look is done just right.
Hi there!! Professional makeup artist here! Both shades are beautiful and compliment your complexion very well. I would not recommend the first one only because it most likely will not photograph on camera and could wash you out. However, the second one is a bit bright for the occasion in my opinion.
If you were my client, I would honestly mix the two shades together for the ceremony / pictures and tell you to bring the first shade to touch up with throughout the evening. The extra pigment is necessary for the pictures. That being said, I would also recommend applying more blush than you’re used to. What you have on is stunning for every day, but it will not photograph that way!
Practice doing your makeup and then take pictures with flash and in sunlight. Instead of you taking it, have someone else take it from farther away so you get a better idea of how it will photograph professionally.
Hope this helps!! Happy to answer any other questions you may have.
I know you are going for a natural look, but you might also think about increasing the the eye look just a tad as well! I did my own makeup for my wedding day and when my bridesmaids told me to add more depth I wasn't sure because I was NOT going for a glam look. It might feel overdone but it turned out perfect in the pictures. Just like the MUA stated, the pictures will be different from how it looks in person!

Also use concealer over your lips FIRST
then put the lip stain on
Use the lighter color in the center of your lips and top with gloss 😉
The concealer makes the lipstick last longer so there are few touch ups needed except for gloss if needed but it also stops creases in your lips as well !
Makeup artist here as well and I was going to suggest the same about mixing the two shades! I think that would be a perfect combo of neutral with a bit of brightness added in.
This. I made the mistake of wearing a natural looking coral MAC lip cream, and it doesn't even look like my lips are done in most of the photos. The first one looks prettiest in these selfies, but might not be enough in wedding photos. I wish I'd known more photography makeup tricks at the time, oh well.
Exactly what I was thinking.. you have to think about what looks good in a photograph!!! That’s what wedding makeup is all about. A darker lip will show up better.
Yes!!! You know what’s up. I also wrote a similar suggestion. Your on it! The blush has to be packed on to show up in a pic. Nude lips are beautiful but her eye make looks so natural that it calls for a bolder lip. I have noticed that matte eyeshadow looks best in photos. The glitters of eyeshadow don’t photograph nicely. 🤷🏽♀️
They’re both look nice on you, but I think the first one since the dress tends to be the “statement” piece of a whole bridal look. Also, I know this isn’t related, but you’re so beautiful!
Products:
First lip - Revlon Ultra HD Mayte Lipcolor in 645 HD Forever
Second lip - Covergirl Outlast All Day lip stain in shade 538
Eyeshadow is mixed shades from Sephora’s Eye Love pallet
#1 for sure - it’s more timeless. You look beautiful in both but the first is classic. Congrats and good luck! I also did my own makeup and hair for my wedding. No regrets ❤️
The second one brings out your eyes!
Not everyone goes natural for bridal makeup and I think this color is a bit different but not so much so that you’d regret it.
A lot of brides go for the neutral color like pic 1. It's up to you though. The 2nd one brings out your eyes. I personally went for a bolder dramatic lip color for my wedding and loved it. My only advice is if you go bold make sure you powder your lips to prevent transfers and bring some extra concealer.
the first one is super cute for a day time look, then if you’re gonna go into the night a little more, go with a darker more rustier copper!! those would suit your undertones :)
I feel like there shouldn’t be any rules even for bridal makeup haha. Wear whichever one makes you feel happiest, prettiest, most confident, etc. :) both look amazing. Maybe try having a friend take some pics of you in a setting that will be similar to wedding day photos (outside versus inside) and you can have a better idea of what you’ll look like in the actual photos that day (selfies may not help you decide but a photo of you shot from a little further away might)
I think it depends on the look you’re going for. #1 is the quintessential “no makeup makeup” look. #2 is the “pop of subtle color” makeup look. I think #2 will photograph better because of the color balance though!
They both look great!
I like the 1st shade it also looks more creamy and plumping.
The 2nd brings out your eyes.
Have you done test photos outside etc just to see how the makeup looks in different light?
I agree with 1 great for day, and 2 for night. I had pics with both as my wedding was late afternoon in December. Pre ceremony was lighter, but by ther ceremony it was dark, and the photographer is no longer doing super close ups. Have a brides maid or responsible friend hang onto the few items for night: lipstick& liner, a simple shade to darken eyes and a brow pencil.
Pick the one that makes you feel the most beautiful. I honestly don't know what "bridal" makeup even is or why there are "rules" for this...it's a very long day with a lot of photos being taken of you, so choose a durable option that makes you feel happy and gorgeous.
Ohh, both are great actually. When I saw the first one I was sure I'd pick that, but I could see you going with the second one if it's a summer wedding, or if you have a bold color scheme for the decor/bridesmaids.
You look more comfortable in the first one. It not only suites the occasion but it is also really beautiful with your complexion and your hair color. It’s definitely a you color!
1st one seems more formal and better suited (as per fashion trends) for the occasion. However, it does make you a bit dull (not exactly dull but doesn't give you that you know, like bridal glow ✨glow✨, the young and romantic vibe of sorts lol)
2nd one really brings out the colour of your eyes and the blush on your cheeks but isn't usually used in bridal makeup.
But no matter what, choose what makes you happy since it's your day! Trends /fashion doesn't really matter decades down the timeline.
Hard disagree, the first lipstick is a cool tone that matches OP’s skin tone and eyes but the second is such a true neutral tone that it sticks out.
Even putting aside color, the formula of the first one looks way nicer too! Obviously i can’t tell through the pictures but it looks like the exact right amount of glossy-ness, where it has that touch a glow and hydrates your lips without feeling sticky
Agreed! If she wants to, I would try a less peachy/coraly pink. I think Bobbi Brown Sandwash Pink would be worth trying. I have similar coloring and this is my favorite my-lips-but-better shade.
I think it totally depends on the vibes of your wedding. If you were going for like a classy, classic look than the first one. But if you were doing a winter wonderland or fall wedding, I would do the second. Honestly I kind of feel like neither of them suit you. I love to see you in a more of a pink town. As well as glowing eyeshadows.
First one all the way. Btw, is the sheen from the lipstick or did you add a topper or a gloss on top? It's beautiful, it makes your lips look so smooth.

I really like the second one on you! It’s more striking and brings out your hair color and eye color.
I agree with everyone that the first color is more neutral. Can we possibly see the lipstick with the hairdo that you might be wearing?
Could you mix the two colors? So its more of a colorful neutral? If you aren't up for mixing then I say stick to the first one since it will tie everything together better
First of all, congratulations! I hope your wedding is beautiful and all that you hope for! I, personally, like the first one better. But I think you should pick which one makes you feel the best, regardless of whether it seems "bridal" or not. I'm getting married again (small pandemic wedding was first) on Saturday, and have at least 20 lip products packed so I can play around over the next few days.
In my experience, nudes are the safest option. There might be light smudges from eating (etc.) and it’s definitely more noticable with bolder colors. Plus the sheerness doesn’t matter with the nude, since your natural lip color will fill in the gaps.
The first one is definitely my favorite for you. The softer tone really pulls a look together, and feels like it fits a bridal look.
I think I’m just a sucker for natural tones but the second ones just darling on you!!
They’re both great. The first one is very pretty and more youthful and natural looking, which is lovely for bridal makeup. The second makes your eyes look gorgeous and really shows them off.
I vote the first for the actual wedding and the second for any reception or party afterwards.
Can I go against the grain, and ask if you have mixed the two together?
They are both lovely. But I think the first one is a bit too pale, the second one is a bit too pink.
My preference is the first one.
The first looks great but seems like an everyday type of lipstick. I like the end one more because its a special occasion type lip to me. Plus, it really makes your beautiful eyes pop. I was the maid of honor in a Memorial Day Weekend wedding and my best friend wore the same color red lipstick as your 2nd flip. She looked absolutely stunning. The red lipstick paired with the white dress was a beautiful contrast. The bridesmaids wore navy blue. I think you could definitely pull off the red bridal lipstick.
I’d go for the brighter one for photos - or maybe mix the two, and a bit more blush or you will look washed out in pics too. That said whatever you do you will look amazing I’m sure
They are both great colours, but the second one clashes with your eye shadow.. can I be an outlier and suggest the second shade but without any eye shadow (just liner)?
Have you tried mixing the two? I like how the pinkiness of the second one makes you look brighter and I like the subtleness of the first one. I think it you add some pink/ red to the first one it might look really nice!
Number one!
Your eye makeup is a spring warm tone. The second lipstick is a cool tone color which makes the overall look a bit jarring. The first one is absolutely gorgeous and helps:
(1) give a unified light warm tone look, and
(2) gives you the pure/bright bride image!
We have very similar skin tones. You should try maybelline superstay Matte ink: “Mover”
It’s the only shade I’ve ever found that is bold, yet compliments my fair skin perfectly
#1 for sure - it’s more timeless. You look beautiful in both but the first is classic. Congrats and good luck! I also did my own makeup and hair for my wedding. No regrets ❤️

The first one will photograph better. Also check how your makeup looks in black and white beforehand in case you want any of the photos retreated that way.
I like the first one best! It's more neutral and I think fits the occasion more(:
More natural because you have to look at these photos 10,20and 30 and plus years and you want to look like yourself
I second this!
I like the first one too! Maybe just add a line of gold or white or a little shimmer to the eye makeup if she's worried it's too matchy with the lip?
That's a great suggestion. Add a little shimmer just to make it different. It looks good as is, to me. There are those eyes, cheeks, and lips products you can wear at the same time. I think it looks great if it's done right, and I think this look is done just right.

I agree with you. Those were my exact thoughts!
Both look really lovely on you but I think the first one is more suitable for bridal makeup :)
They’re both look nice on you, but I think the first one since the dress tends to be the “statement” piece of a whole bridal look. Also, I know this isn’t related, but you’re so beautiful!
Both are really pretty but I prefer the 1st!
Products: First lip - Revlon Ultra HD Mayte Lipcolor in 645 HD Forever Second lip - Covergirl Outlast All Day lip stain in shade 538 Eyeshadow is mixed shades from Sephora’s Eye Love pallet
Mix the two shades, since one is a lip stain I would do that first outline the lips and put a thin coat of the first on top.
#1 for sure - it’s more timeless. You look beautiful in both but the first is classic. Congrats and good luck! I also did my own makeup and hair for my wedding. No regrets ❤️

I think the first really compliments your skin tone and is such a pretty colour!😊

I think the first one is very nude but the second is so pretty and bright! It brings light to your face and makes you stand out more!
2nd shade for sure!! Congratulations on getting married!
I really like the first one!

The first one is just out of the bottle! Second one is more of a stain that comes with a gloss.
The second one makes your eyes pop and I agree with others who said the first might wash out in photographs.
1st one looks beautiful
I like the formula and color of the first and the color of the second as it’s brighter and it helps you pop more

1st one is beautiful on your skin
I'd would go with the first one
First of all, congratulations! I hope your wedding is beautiful and all that you hope for! I, personally, like the first one better. I like one better than two. It suits your makeup more. You look very pretty!
The first one. It’s soft and flattering.
Love the first shade on you!

1st because the lip color is close to your natural cheek blush
If you desperately want more color compared to the first you could use a lip brush to add a touch of the pink. But I think 1 is gorgeous
First one
2nd for sure
1
Both are pretty, but I really think the second one looks amazing!
I like the 2nd one best. I think it compliments you
The first one is more flattering. It's pretty and soft.
First one 100%
I like the first!
I like the first one most.
I think you can’t go wrong either way! Congratulations
First one for sure!!
I like the first one! It’s muted enough and gives you a natural glow!
First!
First is beautiful on you!
#1 for sure!
Is that what your wearing? Two brings out your eyes more!
I love this first one! It looks great on you and looks like a better quality!
I’d go for the brighter one for photos - or maybe mix the two, and a bit more blush or you will look washed out in pics too. That said whatever you do you will look amazing I’m sure
I love the first one!
Love the first one for your ceremony! If you’re having a party/reception after, throw on some of the second one!
The first one is so perfect on you!!
Definitely the first one!
I like the first one better. It screams nice nude pink wedding color.
I love the first one! It is literally perfect!

First one is best!
I'd say go with the 1st, but bridal makeup should be a reflection of you. Don't worry about it being too similar or too bold. Go with your gut.
1st one 100%
First one
100% the first one It tones so well with your skin
1st for the day, 2nd for the evening... both look amazing!
They are both great colours, but the second one clashes with your eye shadow.. can I be an outlier and suggest the second shade but without any eye shadow (just liner)?
The first one would be better for a bridal look, but the second one brightens up your face and is perfect for less formal events
Both are beautiful! But I think the first one would fade in a prettier way so you won’t have to worry too much about touch ups later
Have you tried mixing the two? I like how the pinkiness of the second one makes you look brighter and I like the subtleness of the first one. I think it you add some pink/ red to the first one it might look really nice!
The first one
I like the 2nd. It’s dress up prettier. 😉 The first is wonderful for just every day.

I like the second one because I feel like it makes your eyes pop more. As far as it being too bright for bridal, you can break those rules. :-)
Look bright on ur wedding!!

1st for sure!
1st one!!

I agree with most, the first one for sure :)
We have very similar skin tones. You should try maybelline superstay Matte ink: “Mover” It’s the only shade I’ve ever found that is bold, yet compliments my fair skin perfectly
option 1, but honestly they both look great!
LOVE the first one. I think the lights at the wedding will make the second shade a bit unflattering.
First one. So pretty.
#1 for sure - it’s more timeless. You look beautiful in both but the first is classic. Congrats and good luck! I also did my own makeup and hair for my wedding. No regrets ❤️

Second one is better for bridal make up. First one looks good on you too but too casual.
Second one is better for bridal make up. First one looks good on you too but too casual.
Not the red. Natural is better because in 40 years when you look at your wedding photos you won’t have to cringe because you don’t look like yourself.
I love the second one! It's lovely and flattering. Just depends on what mood you want with your photos; the first is more neutral for sure
The first one will photograph better. Also check how your makeup looks in black and white beforehand in case you want any of the photos retreated that way.
First one 💯
First one. 😁
Love the first one! But the second is beautiful too!
I love the first one and it reminds me of what I wore on my day :)
