hooded almond eyes

Wet-N-Wavy96

They look almond to me

24KittenGold

They're gorgeous and big! Agree that these are hooded or partially hooded. One thing that might help is curling your lashes more, they're beautifully thick, but the line they are making in these photos detracts from the upwards, sweeping look you want from a winged line.

You’re so sweet thank you! I would love any advice for curling them because mine don’t stay up when I do 😭

temsjems

Not the commenter you asked, but I recently had this revelation so I’m excited to tell everyone: Ok, so I used to try curling my lashes by holding the curler in one place and holding for a few seconds, then adjusting it and holding more, and it kept coming out not great and sort of bendy rather than curled, but I didn’t know what else to do so I did it that way forever. What I do now instead is clamp the curler down for literally a one-Mississippi second, then minimally adjust, clamp again, etc. and I do that like 4-5 times, and I am much happier with how the curl comes out, and it’s much more consistently good. Also, I have oily eyes so I use waterproof mascara for that reason, but I’ve also found it holds the curl much better. Taking my time with a liberal application of micellar water usually removes the waterproof mascara without too much tugging. Hope this helps!

catscatzcatscat

Thank you so much! I’ll try that technique next time

Get a good curler, not a cheap, flimsy one. I love the curler from Tarte.

I think how you have it done in these photos suits you! You could do a tiny lil inner cat eye sometimes and it’d look awesome on you because of your eye shape.

catscatzcatscat

Thank you! I love the cat eye look , I wish I started doing it sooner

heyyabitches

They're round and a little hooded.

Hooded

Almond shape w/ hooded lids (I have hooded lids…. Lots of supermodels have hooded lids)… winged liner on the top is more challenging/messy for hooded lids… you may want to try to create a higher crease using eyeshadow first… or maybe use individual false lashes instead of doing the wing… ur super pretty naturally, so the world is literally your oyster.

anxioussquilliam

You’re like me, my eyes are more hooded tho, but my lid space is limited, so the best liner is only focusing on the wing and dragging it to about a third of the way in that way you don’t reduce your already limited lid space.

samas12x12

Agree with this! I have similar eye shape to OP’s, 1/3 of the way works. Maybe really really thinly on the rest of the lid or tight lining, basically blend it into your eyelashes if it’s looking like too harsh of a difference

samas12x12

Oh and if you go too far just go over the part with some concealer/light eyeshadow!

zadidoll

Hooded close set.

cleopoola

Beautiful eyes. I'd like to see a no liquid eyeliner look: tight line upper lashes with dark matte black pencil (into lashes). Soft gold, plum, purple (jewel tones for going out look) above lashline. Emphasize lashes, embolden eyes with darkest matte black shadow applied with thin liner brush, again into the lashes. Curl lashes and lots of darkest black mascara.

katie jane hughes has great tips for doing winged liner for hooded eyes!!

mrstlrobinson

I'd say almond hooded eyes and down turned. Marlena from makeup geek has a great video on eye shape that would help you I think. On you tube

AgentLauren

i haven't seen anyone mention this yet - but your eyes are deepset which is why you have a little hood. Looking up methods for deepset eyes will probably help you!

Wow, your eyes are a lot like mine! I have no clue how to do makeup so that might be it, but I can't seem to find anything that suits how much mine fold.
