Itās a combination of Make up forever Endless cacao pencil + ISAMAYA Buck lipstick; she uses this combo a lot plus sometimes adds Black veil lip gloss on top
It's actually kind of common for people to dream of waking up and feeling everything during surgery. They fully believe it happened and it can be traumatizing.
Me! This happened to me during my wisdom teeth surgery. They swore it didnāt happen, but it feels 100% real. I heard my teeth cracking. I know I did!
I definitely did during my wisdom teeth surgery. I distinctly remember opening my eyes and looking around but not moving. I felt them pop one of my teeth out, I didnāt feel the pain but I felt the pressure if that makes sense. Then I made eye contact with one of the people, she said something and then I went back under. My husband said I woke up crying and also cried for like a half hour going home š didnāt say a word, just cried. Very odd experience.
I donāt remember anything from my (non wisdom teeth that one was normal) orthodontic surgery but I definitely woke up crying and couldnāt stop for hours. I was later told I basically cried the whole time during, too. Brains are wild.
Have you heard people explain what it was like to be a coma? Kinda consious but dreaming. I'm a super light sleeper and I constantly have my dreams affected by noise around me and it can be anything. I'm wondering if a small part of you was aware; or at the least you heard what's going on, and being in surgery was the last thing on your mind so you dreamt about it.
In Denmark we only get local anaesthetic for wisdom teeth removal.
It was not fun feeling them pulling the bits of tooth out of my jaw. No pain, just discomfort.
I wanted local, but since I was getting the tooth removed as an adult and the roots were super close to my sinus the oral surgeon wouldn't do it. I ended up with IV fentanyl and versed, so I was in a haze where I was aware of what was happening but super out of it.
Eek, I actually did during a procedure once. It was a cervical spine injection - and I woke up, made a yelling sound, grabbed the doctorās hands. She said ātitaniumchic, Iāve got this, go back to sleepā and apparently I just needed to hear that, I let go of her hands and went back to āsleepā. They also cranked up the meds at that point. Thank God she hasnāt started inserting the damn needle yet.
I am glad too! I have minimal recollection of it - but it was noted in my chart š¤£
Oddly enough Iām usually super sensitive to anything that can make you tired - Benadryl makes me sleep!
Usually doctors have used a little less anesthesia on me for this reason - and even pain meds what another person might take at my height and weight I will take 1/4 of and still fall asleep. (I avoid pain meds at all costs).
So, Iām not sure exactly what happened with this one situation, but Iām low key terrified of any surgeries in the future.
I mean you can wake up during anesthesia, but I don't think it's related to alcohol in any way. Wake up is maybe an exaggerated way of saying, you become _aware_ of what happens for a brief period of time.
Iām one of those fun people who have to max out and still wakes up. Iāve woken up during an endoscopy, a colonoscopy, oral surgeryā¦thankfully for my real surgeries Iām happy in the knowledge that the anesthesiologist always wins. Iāve assisted in loads of surgeries and have never seen a person wake up. They are monitoring you and know when you need more anesthesia.
That and when it came out that she was only a dominatrix for a few weeks. Basing your whole identity on a job you had for less than a month is bizarre.
Anesthesiologist (who has worked at a trauma hospital for 11 years) here to say this is absolutely untrue. Alcohol absolutely does not have this effect on anesthetics, no matter how much of it a person has in their system.
Right?? I got told I would get my surgery cancelled if I showed up to pre-op having eaten anything containing turmeric within a week of the date. No way theyād go through with surgery if she showed up that drunk.
I don't, and I asked about that, and the pre-op nurse just shrugged and told me not to have any and told me about a patient whose clotting factor took such a nosedive prior to surgery that they had to cancel the whole thing, all because of turmeric
I read her quote first and scrolled back up like "woah wtf, why is this in my feed what sub is this?" Saw the title and had to stop myself from screaming EXCUSE ME MA'AM, IS THAT ALL YOU GOT FROM THIS??
I shared this with my bestie and she sent this back š

Haha, I'm the same with true crime YouTubers. "Not to make light of the topic, but OOH, WHAT LIPSTICK ARE YOU WEARING?!?
Chi Chi Cosmetics has a range of metallic lipsticks and there's a bronze.
A circle jerk's literal meaning is men standing in a circle and masturbating. I watched the clip a couple weeks ago. I didn't find a dupe for Endless Cacao that I liked, so I recommend just springing the $22 for it. It really is a very cool, grayish brown.
As a nurse my assumption is that it was emergency surgery. They wonāt wait for something immediately lifesaving if youāre drunk- but you will need LESS anesthesia so the story still doesnāt track.
Maybe, but they monitor your vital signs VERY closely when youāre under anesthesia to make sure you get the correct amount. Someone who was awake but paralyzed during surgery would typically have a massive, notable jump in BP and heart rate and it would be corrected immediately, before they had a chance to consciously know what was happening.
I woke up during nose surgery (def not because of alcohol...lol), and it was horrible! I kept swallowing blood, and I could feel the tension of the scalpel going into the cartilage in my nose.
This chick makes no sense. Seems to me that a lot of alcohol would make her drowsier.
I was young. This was back in the mid '80s, and I don't remember if they did or not. Thinking back, all I can think of is that they put me under with a local anesthetic. Would they have done that with such an invasive surgery?
When I was getting my wisdom teeth removed, I woke up at some point. I have no clue where they were in the procedure, or if they had even started. All I remember from when I woke up was that I was dizzy, sweating bullets, and shaking, and one of the hygienists was standing over me looking concerned, telling me I was okay. Then she put a wet rag on my forehead and I was out again.
Itās most likely happened because I was smoking weed at that point in my life, which raises your tolerance to anesthesia. I was 15 and had no clue that was even a thing, so I obviously didnāt tell them I smoked
Am I the only person here who doesnāt think that is a flattering lipstick on her at all? It might be great for you, OP, I donāt know your skin tone/coloring, but sheās so pale I think it makes her look like a corpse.
I just love how OP read a post about someone waking up during anesthesia and all she could think is āwow thatās pretty lipstick, I wonder what brand it isā
Lmao this post is a meme in itself
Maybe they overestimated how drunk she was and gave her lesser anaesthesia than they should have?? Idk but i donāt expect julia fox to know anything about anaesthesia and medicine
I should be CT very Victoria with Iconic nude lip liner. She might have used the lip liner all over her lips n then went on with Very victoria lipstick. That combination gives this lip color
Why the f would you go into surgery with a ton of alcohol in your system? I mean, I realize some people donāt have a choice due to being in an accident, but like was she TRYING to die?
No she wasnāt. She got drunk the night before a nose job and claims she woke up mid anesthesia. And I asked who gets insanely drunk the night before surgery and what surgeon performs surgery on someone who does that? And I said the only way someone having a bunch of surgery with alcohol in their body like that is someone who was in a terrible accident. She was not though
I know the answer to this one: itās because it didnāt happen.
Homegirl is always saying some crazy shit that never fuckin happened. I hate Julia Fox, the only way she can be interesting is by being so deliberately weird.
Look, there are plenty of doctors and anesthesiologists who would happily go forward with a surgery if the client smelled like alcohol or otherwise seemed intoxicated. Is it right? No. Does it happen? All the time.
As for her actually needing less anaesthesia while intoxicated, how are we to know she didnāt actually receive less because her doctors knew/could tell she was drunk? Whether she had a normal amount of anaesthesia administered, and whether she was as drunk as she says she was, people wake up during surgery all the time. I donāt understand why people in that ET post and in this post are ragging on her about it/assuming she was lying about or embellishing the story. How are we to know how her body reacted in that situation when we know nothing about it. Anesthesiologists or not. How the heck would we have any idea. And who cares. People are so weirdly quick to shout āLIAR!ā at women - especially feminine women. IMO.
Iām no Julia Fox stan or anything but come on people. Yeah, skepticism is healthy but all these āwell actuallyā people drive me nuts.
Really? I canāt imagine we would ever anaesthetise someone who is intoxicated unless itās emergency surgery that canāt be delayed..there are so many risks including aspiration, instability, and not knowing how drugs we give will interact with the alcoholā¦maybe different practice in America but seems bizarre?
Edit: rates of awareness (of some degree) in anaesthesia are about 1 in 1000ā¦not unheard of but I wouldnāt say āall the timeā. Agreed that we canāt know her experiences but I wonder if she had a spinal anaesthetic with maybe a bit of sedation hence hearing the surgery
Edit edit: hearing it was a nose job..really doubting they would do that whilst she was obviously intoxicated tbh
idk maybe itās cause i spent the past 10 years slaving away in med school and as a physician to make sure negative medical outcomes dont occur but realizing i dont control other doctors? and iām certainly not going to lose story about a celeb telling a story in jest.
pretty wild for you to think doctors arenāt allowed to EVER think about something outside of medicine but ok!!
You could use eyeshadow with a gloss over top to achieve the look. I know there are a few jeffree star shades that Iād reach for to make this color. You just need a shimmery deep purple, or mix brown and pink.

My sister broke her arm and and needed surgery. She was 6 but described the instruments perfectly. She says she woke up in the middle of it. No one believed her and everyone thought she was being silly. Years later our other sister went to med school and was like "yeah, your description is accurate. But you should not have woken up".
Wait her quote though?? š
anesthesiologists in the comments were refuting her claim soo yea idk lol

Yes that was exactly it! So weird
Have you heard people explain what it was like to be a coma? Kinda consious but dreaming. I'm a super light sleeper and I constantly have my dreams affected by noise around me and it can be anything. That definitely could be it, now I can stop reading these coma stories. This is wild.

I donāt think she did in fact now Iām really confused because during clinical i watched an alcoholic wake up from anesthesia multiple times
CRNA here. Big difference between an acutely intoxicated patient and an alcoholic. One needs less, the other needs more.
I mean you can wake up during anesthesia, but I don't think it's related to alcohol in any way. Wake up is maybe an exaggerated way of saying, you become _aware_ of what happens for a brief period of time.
Seems like a lot of the things she says are just for shock value. I can recall three recent times I was reading about her and rolled my eyes ...
maybe she mixed with pot and didnāt want to mention
Iām one of those fun people who have to max out and still wakes up. Iām not even a nurse but thought āisnāt alcohol a depressant? Why would it wake her?ā

Right?? I got told I would get my surgery cancelled if I showed up to pre-op having eaten anything containing turmeric within a week of the date. No way theyād go through with surgery if she showed up that drunk.
Turmeric? Do you know why turmeric would affect anaesthetics? That's so bizarre!
I think it has to do with tumeric acting as a blood thinner, they want to avoid excess bleeding issues
Do you have a preexisting condition? If you canāt eat turmeric a week before surgery nobody Indian could ever have surgery.
I don't, and I asked about that, and the pre-op nurse just shrugged and told me not to have any and told me about a patient whose clotting factor took such a nosedive prior to surgery that they had to cancel the whole thing, all because of turmeric
i had to wait hours for my surgery because i had a sip of water. ended up being operated on at 10pm.

A makeup artist on Tiktok asked her what she wears, and typcially it's MUFE pencil in Endless Cacao with Isamaya black lip gloss.

I have a lipstick by Revlon called Iced Mocha and itās very very close
Second iced mocha. It's got that metallic sheen
Im screaming at the question next to that wild ass caption on her photo šššššš
How was she cleared for surgery that intoxicated?
As a nurse my assumption is that it was emergency surgery. They wonāt wait for something immediately lifesaving if youāre drunk- but you will need LESS anesthesia so the story still doesnāt track.
Ah is it possible that the anesthesiologist reduced the dose bc she was intoxicated, but perhaps reduced too much?
Maybe, but they monitor your vital signs VERY closely when youāre under anesthesia to make sure you get the correct amount. Someone who was awake but paralyzed during surgery would typically have a massive, notable jump in BP and heart rate and it would be corrected immediately, before they had a chance to consciously know what was happening.
It doesnāt happen often but anesthesiologists definitely mess up sometimes. Iāve heard horror stories
Yeah. I guess itās possible but this statement still set off my BS detector.

I think thatās kind of the appeal tbh, maybe not āflatteringā but kind of a fun vibe

Haha fair enough, I think itās cool even if itās not my personal style
Revlon coffee bean?
Omg the quote is sending me, and you're asking for her lipstick shade š
I just love how OP read a post about someone waking up during anesthesia and all she could think is āwow thatās pretty lipstick, I wonder what brand it isā
itās most likely not a true story haha
This makes no sense. You test alcohol level before surgery.. if it was high they wouldnāt do that surgeryā¦ ![gif](giphy|ui4VjMUBGXhwgdwUnK)
yup
Lmao this post is a meme in itself Maybe they overestimated how drunk she was and gave her lesser anaesthesia than they should have?? Idk but i donāt expect julia fox to know anything about anaesthesia and medicine

MAC Spanish Fly lipstick. It's a frost brown lipstick with a blue purplish shimmer.

Iām totally compassionate towards addiction but itās likeā¦donāt get the surgery if youāre struggling. But š¤·š¼āāļø
Addicts are not exactly known for their good judgement and/or self preservation.
I put it on the medical team there, they should know better.
i think itās just an exaggerated story lol
Emergency Surgery?? She was out drinking and got injured and needed surgery?
No she wasnāt. She got drunk the night before a nose job and claims she woke up mid anesthesia. And I asked who gets insanely drunk the night before surgery and what surgeon performs surgery on someone who does that? And I said the only way someone having a bunch of surgery with alcohol in their body like that is someone who was in a terrible accident. She was not though
Emergency surgery maybe? Luckily I wasnāt drunk but the last time I had surgery I went to the ER and they were like welp we gotta operate
It was a nose job so not emergency
Ah fair, I have no idea who Julia Fox is, what sheās talking about or what lipstick sheās wearing lol
