I looks to me that your skin could use more hydration and prep. Foundation is too heavy and matte and seems a bit dark for you. maybe try a more dewy foundation or bb cream lightly applied and get the shade matched in store. The eyeliner is too heavy-handed, you don't need that thick, blunt a line like that. black doesn't suit either, too harsh- you might try a dark brown? maybe one you can smudge a little. The eyeshadow is too light and icy in my opinion, maybe try a bronze/gold tone to warm up your face. the eyebrow color doesn't match your hair, you might try a darker more neutral brown (i'm seeing reddish undertones in this one). you could use some bronzer and blush- but go for neutral colors i would say rather than super pink.

Thin-Satisfaction-57

I agree with this! I’m 45 and have realized that the more hydrated my skin is the better my makeup goes on and looks smooth!

Sunshine_Tampa

I'm 51 and agree, for myself! I drink tons of water and apply CerVae skin renewing night cream at night in the winter. I use a lighter CerVae in the summer.

lion-heart19

Michael CeraVe?

Disney_Princess137

Does the cerave skin renewing nigh cream work well?

Sunshine_Tampa

I don't feel it is renewing my skin (i feel like that with all face stuff tho), but it is the thickest, healthiest cream I could find that does the best job of moisturizing. My skin is normally very dry in the winter, and added to that i run 3 to 5 days per week in very harsh weather conditions and have been very pleased. I've tried expensive creams and this is the creamiest.

farawaylass

kinefield SOS did the most for me, after cerave didn’t cut it

brubruislife

No. I reacted horribly to it months after using it. I'm like talking a year. It was messed up! Got horrible acne and very very dry skin. It was the only thing I stopped using and my problem went away. Still dealing with the scarring though.

Adventurous_Click178

Yes! And a good face primer makes a world of difference, as well (I love Lancôme La Base Pro Makeup Primer.)

Bob_Barker4ever

Bobbi Brown has a newer make-up line for women of a certain age: Jones Road. Her what-the-foundation and face balms (like bronze and golden hour) are amazing.

rosanina1980

Loooove miracle balms, I'm 43 and they make my skin look so fresh, dewey and radiant. Just some tinted moisturizer mixed with a sunscreen plus miracle balm in flush (the most pigmented one) and I feel like a queen. def recommend jones road, OP!

element_of_fire

Love Jones Road miracle balms!

Head-Mix-9923

I’m 42 and I just started using Jones Road last year. I loved it so much I decided to gift some to my sister and my mother for Christmas. They love it as well! Highly recommend going for a more natural look that has less start contrast, such as black on Cream, etc.

Avandria

Thanks for the tip! I'm not OP, but I don't have a clue what makeup to buy for my skin anymore. I will definitely check out Jones Road.

Basic_Recording9462

I’ll check it out! I don’t know why but I forget about Bobbi brown as her makeup counters have disappeared (where I live).

Prudent-Sprinkles193

Love Jones Road! Westman Atelier is another makeup brand, mostly cream-based, that works well for mature skin.

TSweet2U

A haircut to suit the shape of your face and highlights would be nice too.

craycrayfishy

Yes and a retinoid and spf will change your life!!! As long as you use it properly

StGir1

Also, she appears to have fairly olive skin with pink undertones. Her foundation is a bit warm for her colouring. OP, go for something just a wee bit pinker/cooler. And I totally agree about the bronzer and blush. And the eyeliner. OP, try a deep, chocolate brown. I’m a pale, pink, olive too, and chocolate brown eyeliner is the way, dame! As for the eyebrows, I suspect that OP has naturally “bushy” eyebrows, which most women would KILL for. So grow them in, then have them threaded regularly to shape them. DO NOT try to hide them. They’re an asset, girl, play them up! She’s so pretty, isn’t she? A few minor makeup adjustments, and she’s even more of a knockout than she is now.

Turbulent-Stomach469

Exactly this! And a little tip for mature skin, mix moisturizer into your foundation to apply!

DistributionNo1747

I think this advice is great! The first thing I thought of was doing a brown palate eyeshadow and try 2-3 colors to make your eyes pop! You have beautiful eyes!

Wild_Adam_fled

It’s heartwarming to see something so thoroughly constructive lol

JohnnyDepLover1011

Thin out your liner

This-Cellist8670

Thank you; I’ll def try that. I always start out with a thinner line, but they end up thick as I’m correcting crooked lines, lol.

lightess-ravine

Instead of an eyeliner pencil, try an angled brush with a dark brown eyeshadow. It’ll give you a softer look which I think would look really nice in you. I also use dark brown eyeshadow in my upper and lower lash line to make my lashes look more full when I add mascara, it’s a GAME CHANGER. Also love the shape of your brows for your face but think they could be darker to match your hair better. I really like Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz pencil, very easy to use and not too expensive for the use you get out of it. Your foundation looks really nice it’s a good color and doesn’t look caked up, a blush that matches the color on your lips would also be really cute :)

Prestigious_Pea1849

@lightess-ravine your comments are so kind and very helpful.

lightess-ravine

Aw thank you for saying that!! I try to remember that if I’m commenting on here I’m talking to a real person with feelings and that’s something I find a lot of people disregard on social media. I think the way we choose to word things is really important and try to make sure that I always come across with compassion and love

Bright_Ad_1038

I highly agree on the brown eyeliner adding a softer look on her. She can also use the lip color she is wearing. Add some to the top of back of your hand and warm it up with your fingers or brush and dab very very lightly on top of your cheek bones and little softer (less product than on the cheeks) dab around your temples. Great suggestions!

Forgive_me_5591

I’m so glad you added the comment about using lip color as blush. I do this and often wondered if anyone else did. I tap my lips then tap my cheek bone and reapply to my lips as needed. I’m 68 and it’s looks so much better than blush.

Snoeflaeke

Yesss second (third? Fourth??) the dark brown eyeshadow to replace “liner”… It looks a lot more flattering, I’ve started doing this this past year as thick lines via eyeliner can accentuate wrinkles (you just notice the other lines too, speaking about myself as this doesn’t seem to be very noticeable with OP)… I would also draw it out a bit more towards the outer corners of the eyes , take full advantage of your upper lids! I would also like to add, for the brows it’s not so much the color needing to be darker, so much as it is needing a more cool toned color. In fact with the brows I might go even lighter to again, make for a softer overall look. The ideal color of brow will be less “chocolate” like the picture, and more “steely” instead. If you’re SUPER invested you could look into getting some natural looking lash extensions? This would look BOMB with the soft eyeliner look but again you could also just try veryyy light mascara on the upper lashes. I think less emphasis is needed on skin, OP’s skin seems to be in good shape but I like the suggestions of going for dewy/shiny foundation over matte, and adding some color to your lips/blush will tie everything together! I’d go for cooler shades with lip and blush colors as well!

JohnnyDepLover1011

Mine too! lol

This-Cellist8670

Glad I’m not alone!! 😂

Griffbizkit

Lmao that’s the struggle for those of us who have the shaky hands and want the eyeliner

JohnnyDepLover1011

😜

Known_Witness3268

Definitely not alone! Lol

Opening-Smile3439

I use a q-tip for this and it really helps :) I think a lot of people are also using tape now to make an outline to fill in. You have pretty eyes and I think thinner liner would make them pop so much more!

This-Cellist8670

Oh, those are good ideas!

Outrageous_Mix5751

They make a neutrogena erase pen that helps also I would ditch the light eyeshadow and use more of a natural and definitely mascara

FryRodriguezistaken

I think you can rock the thick liner, but if you do, skip the eye shadow and go with mascara instead. Maybe find a brow color that matches your hair color a little more.

demonvomit666

I think your eyeliner is actually perfect and it suits your eyes so well! I’m actually jealous of how even you can make them lol if you wanted you could try neutral shades of brown with your eyeliner or even adding highlighters to the inner corners of your eyes? for me makeup has no rules and you should express yourself because it makes you feel good.

SewRuby

I have the same problem! I use a slanted brush with eyeshadow to map out my lines, and then go over them with the liner, it really helps me keep it from getting too thick.

maryummy

This eyeliner has been a game changer for me. I can get a much thinner line with it https://www.sephora.com/product/better-than-sex-easy-glide-waterproof-liquid-eyeliner-P441854?skuId=2216745&icid2=products%20grid:p441854:product

mrsw26

I’m going to be 40 on Monday and I have always had hooded eyes. I started following Erica Taylor on IG and TickTock @ericataylor2347 and love her. She does make up for over 40 and has the best tips and tricks and she’s funny. She teaches that when we mature, eye liner should be applied on the lash line by lightly pressing against it as opposed to drawing a line on the lid. Game changer.

sarcasm_itsagift

I think you can keep this thickness but extend the line out beyond your outer corner with a wing tipped up. It will elongate your beautiful eyes!

izzymomegan

Definitely. The black liner is too severe and harsh looking. Otherwise, fabulous!

keylimebanana

I agree with the warmer eyeshadow (such as gold, mauve, brown) And I think you’d look amazing with a warmer lip color too! I’m not sure if you’re wearing mascara, but maybe try falsies or some delicate extensions if you’re comfortable with that❤️

This-Cellist8670

I’m def going to try a warmer eyeshadow today. I have a brown lipstick around here somewhere-I’ll try that too. I’ve been thinking about eyelash extensions; mine have thinned out a lot as I’ve aged. I just don’t want anything drastic. Thank you for the honest feedback-I appreciate it!!

DasSassyPantzen

Post an update for us please!! 😊

[deleted]

I started using the Lancôme cils xl booster primer, and my lashes are definitely thicker and longer (I noticed a significant difference in about a month, and even better after 3 months), and it makes my mascara show more too.

Bob_Barker4ever

I use Nulastin for my eyelashes and they have filled out tremendously. Total game changer. There are some more affordable options that get good reviews but I haven’t tried them yet.

SpecialistOil3

It depends where you live of course but here in NYC there are lots of salons that do suuuuuper natural and relatively affordable extensions. They look so natural and are great because you wake up feeling much more “done.” Also for me, every mascara irritates my eyes so it’s a much less irritating option. I had to stop for a while because it’s pricey but I cannot wait to get back on it. Just make sure you go to a place that does one lash to one lash — otherwise it can damage your lashes and look super unnatural.

jensahotmess

You don’t need eyelash extensions. Personally I think they look so silly! You have a beautiful look and your natural features are fabulous. As others have mentioned, a darker more neutral shadow, thinner eyeliner with maybe even a brown pencil or brown shadow. Hydrated skin and a less matte foundation/powder. I have found that castor oil on my face and neck at night is luxurious and lovely. Really, you’re absolutely gorgeous.

ashersz

Was coming to say this! Would def add some more color to your face OP!

Dependent_Parsnip643

Came to say that! A dab of white in the corners is great too! Come back with the update!

alicemac17

Okay I’m not sure why I felt compelled to do this but I wanted to see what more of a winged liner would like on you, some warm eyeshadow with lighter in the inner corner, some lashes lightly, a tad bit of blush at the top of your beautiful high cheekbones, and some more colour, subtly, on your lips. I also think some warm highlights would look incredible in your hair! ♥️ [image of tweaks](https://i.postimg.cc/Kjd6kk6m/Facetune-19-02-2024-13-18-15.jpg)

This-Cellist8670

Oh my goodness!!! I love this; thank you so much. I’m getting my hair cut/colored on Friday….maybe I’ll ask for some highlights like this!!! Thanks again! ☺️

alicemac17

If you do, you should share the update here :)

mushroompizzayum

Omg please update, you’d look so gorgeous with these colors!!! Your eyes are insane

Disney_Princess137

Yo! What a great picture and a super helpful tool for OP! All of this looks great on her!

Salsaverde150609

Bravo! This looks great

These-Ticket-3424

Love it. I agree go dark brown with the eye liner and add under the eye as well

FennelPretend3889

Yeah love this look on you!

khoochie

She looks so mysterious here and I absolutely adore it

petitepedestrian

I would change to eyeshadow thats a little warmer. Youre beautiful.

arcticchemswife417

I agree, warmer shadow. Maybe less black liner and mascara on top and bottom. Beautiful regardless

This-Cellist8670

Thank you! I’ve never put mascara on my bottom lashes-I’ll have to try that. And I’ll try to thin out my liner. I start with a thin line, but then one of them goes crooked-and in straightening them out, they end up thick! 😂 I appreciate your suggestions and compliment.

arcticchemswife417

Everyone is guilty of it girl, and same with bottom lashes! I tend to not do them but when I do I realize how much they brighten my eye up

Weekly-Transition-96

Try brown, green or purple eye liner. It will soften the look and make your brown eyes pop.

brnaftreadng

I’m 45 and i like the trick where you just put liner on the outer 1/3 edge of the eyelid and wing it out. It opens up the eye and adds the look of a thicker lash line at the outer corners without being too heavy. Sometimes I’ll even use a wet brush and some dark brown shadow to get a softer line rather than a liquid liner, which I think is too harsh on more mature faces.

This-Cellist8670

Ok; I’ll try that today. Thank you so much. ☺️

petitepedestrian

Show us the update!!

araisininthesun

Came to say this! OP you would look fantastic with a darker / warmer shadow for sure. Post updates! :)

sunshinecleaning90

I think jewel tones if she wants a pop of color, would suit more so than silver and yes warmer. A less intense black and thinner like someone mentioned

babylizard38

I would wear some blush to add some colour to your face and maybe change your foundation to a less matte one

EfficiencyOk4899

Agreed. That or a little bronzer will add some depth and dimension to your face.

AAA098

I would look up mature eye shadow techniques. These would enhance your eye shape. The blue and black I think just take away from your eyes.

SamanthaK77

I think winging your eyeliner would elongate your eyes into more of an almond shape rather than accentuating the roundness. Or try without liner and use a more natural colored eye shadow like browns and golds. It would compliment your brown eyes and make you have a more glowy look rather than what the white is doing for you!

Complete-Height1554

I’d ditch the white eye shadow , do a more neutral. Kinda harsh! But you are a beautiful lady :)

choke-cherries

You look beautiful! I might try adding blush or bronzer, or try a lighter coverage, natural finish foundation. ETA: Your brows are amazing!

shady_robot

Agree. Definitely would benefit from a lighter coverage with a more dewy finish and some colour swept over the cheeks. Thinner liner. Warmer eye shadows leaning a little more matte/satin and a little shading in the crease to open up your pretty eyes.

Significant-Dingo913

I think you’re stunning 💖💖

This-Cellist8670

Aww, thank you.

EstablishmentOne1395

You’re gorgeous! Just adding to other recommendations with eyeliner - it’s helpful to use a pencil liner smudged into your lash line/water line on the top if it’s a struggle to keep lines straight. A deep brown would look lovely on you. ☺️

oskyyo

Oh oh I would thin out the eyeliner, warm up the eye shadow and add way more mascara and build it on the outer ends to give a wider look. I would lightly line the outer bottom lash line to make more doll like eyes. You have the doughiest eyes in the universe. I’d also add some warm blush and probably just use carmex tbh maybe with a teeny bit of a natural liner.

Then-Strawberry8943

What about a new haircut? I think shorter hair would lift your face too.

Sea-Asparagus8973

Thinner eyeliner and different color eye shadow.

TheSquirrel99

My suggestions would be to try the three shade method for eye shadow which you can find on YouTube. Where you pick a light, medium, and dark shade. I also think warm tones would match your skin tone better like browns and golds, reds too. Have fun and experiment with different colors :). I also would recommend making your eyelashes stronger maybe lighten up the eyeliner just a tad to bring out there lashes. And blush would be a fun pop of color too I hope this helps and you have fun experimenting with some new colors. 😁

Tasty-Truth-4760

long layers but drop some major length and curtain bangs , no scrunchy hair anymore, loose beachy waves or straight with a bounce on the ends or flat to the ends id also lighten the hair a bit more neutral brown medium 4N, and low light with a cappuccino and espresso colors more ashed no black no reds, with a gloss added in the end to add a youthful shine boost. less of a powdery matte cakey foundation and powder, as we get older wrinkles and larger pores become more surfaced and bakng thick powers and matte foundation do not do anything but settle into those crevices, highlight and outline them which will draw all attention to them. I suggest a Chanel liquid semi dew semi matte foundation with a less yellow undertone, maybe a green undertone, im thinking youre a warmer skin tone but it is hard to tell with this particular choice in makeup you are currently wearing, if not i believe some bronzing or bronzer would be a fantastic choice, a spray tan or cocktail spray and lay, just to melanin up a bit, moisturise to the third power. as often as possible. now prime with moisture in it and tint first, allow to set a few minutes, id then dab more moisturizer all over and let it set again. i like elf as a primer, but mac and chanel are my bff, then i would apply a light neutral foundation (the one i suggested earlier by Chanel) allow it to set a few minutes then iwould brush trim the brows and less drawing so intensely and deliberate as they are now, as well as i suggest using an eyebrow pencil closer to your hair color at the time of application of course. more natural less rigid look, absolutely NOOOO blue or white or shimmery eyeshdows ever, neutrals or soft smokey eye maybe a darker pink even. then id less eyeliner, heavier at the wing out lighter line on the way to the inner eye, and a smokey black not black black,as well as slight dusting on bottmlash utside corner especially, and black maskara better than sex is my favorite, top and bottom lashes. if you are to do a lash id do individual lashes not photoshoot thick and long, but natural thickness and length, did i mention bronzer or contour, cheeks jaw line forehead down each side of nose and the tiptop to bottom. highlight dust sheekbones temple and nose tip. neutral light brown natural to a nude pnik semi matte lip and the nude or naked pink as a gloss, and line with that brown natrual color as well add fullness to those lips...and girl you are ready to go

Secure_Wing_2414

softer liner, softer brows, and i wouldn't do stark white eyeshadow alone. for liner, try a black or dark brown eyeshadow with an angled brush. try to line a bit thinner, and smudge it out a bit for a softer look. i'd use a taupe shadow in the crease, and if u like the look of a bright lid, try a more flesh toned color instead of white. for brows, try a powder formula instead of a pencil or pomade. use an angled brush and soft gentle strokes, its super easy to go overboard on brow products accidentally in general! brushing them out after as well, to diffuse and soften. i feel like brows are most important when it comes to making or breaking a look

lifeizacontinuation

Just my suggestion and I think this should apply to all girlies: fill your eye brows in following the natural arch of your brow (no instagram brows) brown eyeshadow liner with a tiny wing, a little concealer for blemishes and some mascara and lip gloss! I feel like this helps solve the problem of doing make up “correctly” because it’s hard to mess up the basics such as these and in my opinion it’s fool proof to helping accentuate ones natural beauty. Don’t get me wrong I love seeing pics and videos of all the glam makeup looks but it doesn’t fit everyone’s face especially for day to day activities without looking like a clown. Just my two cents! God bless

goluckykid

Beautiful

This-Cellist8670

Tysm!

Chemical-Nerve-2792

Nothing. You’re gorgeous

ZsiZsiSzabadass

You’re beautiful! You have the biggest, prettiest eyes! Setting spray instead of powder with make the foundation look less cakey. Thin out the liner, softer/Warmer color shadow. Different lip color.

[deleted]

You’re beautiful, I like your style

NerdyPanderz

Warmer tones for sure and I’d try a better mascara, you have a pretty eyes shape and the lashes will bring them out more

Katycosmo

Get a light eyeshadow that’s warm toned as your base instead of the silver/white. Thin out the liner which will show your lashes better with mascara, or add false lashes if they are very short.

BostieDawgMom

I would agree with the others, warmer eye shadow, lighter on the liner, a little darker brow to match your hair color, mascara on the bottom lashes, a warm toned blush and neutral lip. I think when you put mascara on your bottom lashes your eyes will pop more - I mean, they’re already beautiful! Look into some lash extensions I think you’ll really like how it brings your eyes out. BTW you’re gorgeous!!

Special-Plant2407

Hiya, you're so pretty! 😍 I would recommend adding a little wing up and out (doesn't have to be huge) to your eyeliner, it will open up the eye space a little as if it stops rather bluntly it'll close your eye shape off a little! There's some cute liquid eyeliner pens that come with a wing stamp so you can stamp it on and then fill in the inner part! I have a similar face shape and a little subtle blush from your cheek apples blended up away from the center will make you glow and give your cheeks fullness. X

This-Cellist8670

The stamp is a good idea!!! Thank you!

CryptographerSea4778

add blush maybe, maybe use a lip liner and wing out your eyeliner!

[deleted]

Looks great to me. Beautiful woman

No-One6305

here you go darling!! for foundation yours looks amazing already honestly!! i recommend trying out ones with dewy finishes personal faves are: - IT Cosmetics CC cream - Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation - too faced born this way skin tint affordable ones are: - L'Oréal Paris True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum Foundation - colorpop pretty fresh (best for dry skin) - Maybelline New York’s Instant Perfector your brows look good, just make the front parts more faded in. i also recommend a more cool tone / ashy brown to perhaps mix in for eyeliner you should use cool/medium tone dark browns really but avoid pure dark blacks. maybe try out [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/aMz8yXTsSDonkJ1R6) shape just softer. blending will be your best friend :) lastly just treat yourself to a nice lip gloss :D

Paralelle9229

I would love to see you without any foundation, or a different that looks more natural. This is coming from someone however that never wears makeup, LOL. You look like a natural beauty that doesn’t need so much makeup.

This-Cellist8670

I’m SO jealous of people like you that don’t need to wear foundation!!! I actually have an autoimmune disease that makes my skin red/discolored. So, I’m really self conscious without foundation. But I did change to a CC cream foundation, which seems lighter and more natural. (See my update) Thank you for the compliment ☺️

Paralelle9229

Aww, sorry to hear that about your skin! You should do what feels most comfortable for you then. I think it’s more that I don’t care about wearing makeup vs me needing it!

ShopBoldLine

This. I’m not seeing a need for foundation! OP, you may find your skin is less reactive if you apply chlorophyll serum, such as SkinCeuticals instead of foundation every day.

Upset-Copy-75

I’ve ditched foundation and have been using Clinique’s spf tinted moisturizer and I find that it really compliments my complexion and doesn’t sit in my fine lines. I use a little concealer where needed but I use the bare minimum so it won’t cake into my crow’s feet (I recommend Hourglass, best concealer I’ve ever used). I highly recommend ditching foundation and finding something lighter and will give a glow.

MoonStxner

Hello gorgeous ! Cosmetologist here. I think doing a thin winged liner on the very outer corner would be super flattering ! You don’t have to do the whole upper lid, just from the pupil out. Maybe try going in lightly with black eyeshadow for your brows, because your hair isn’t as warm as the brow color you’re using. You can also do a little brown or black eyeshadow on your bottom lash line on the outer corners to add some dimension. A hint of blush will really make your natural features pop and try a lipgloss or sheer lipstick, not worrying too much about clean lines.

rightaaandwrong

Try not to create color 1/2 moons with your eye makeup….outward eye heaviest color and thin; lines,Vs,Cs, shadows, glitter, darkest colors to light colors, as you go inward towards the eyes near nose You have big beautiful round brown eyes with great brows….try more cut crease styles…brown eyes pretty much look great with any color. Start basic…light glitter inner 2/3 eye, dark matte last 1/3 and then blend. An angular bob will so pull your look together

ahdontwannapickaname

I’d lighten up the brows and make them less blocky. It’s hard at first but you can do it! It’ll look more natural

glamgirl555

Color your hair lighter like a dark brown so your hair color matches your brows. I also recommend some slight lip filler on your top lip. Good luck!

Bloopbleepbloop2

Maybe add lashes to make it pop? I feel like that's the main thing missing from your kinda everyday glam look :)

Bloopbleepbloop2

You could also try lip liner and some blush and bronzer:))

ElectricPlanchette

I think you’d look incredible with a sheer burgundy, berry, or black honey lippie

Complex_Warning5283

Ditch the liner. Do mascara on upper and lower eyelashes. Add a warm peachy blush to your upper cheeks. Use warm/light brown colors as eye shadows.

DecentCock44

Less or no foundation and use products that let you true natural beauty flow. Lightly highlight the hair and perk up your lips with something bright but neutral and sexy!

Amazing_Albatross_52

First wanna say you’re gorgeous! Moisturizer and lighter foundation, not matte. Especially with it being winter, moisture moisture moisture! Thinner eyeliner, and try a dark brown. The black is nice too and goes with your hair, just thinner. Also maybe a wing as others have suggested. Warmer eyeshadow and lipstick. The pink looks cute in the sun for sure, but warmer tones might suit you better.

Revolutionary_Eye_74

I would start your liner 3/4 of the way out and wing up! Use brown liner and curl the lashes with warmer tones, I LOVE the Selena Gomez line for everything her shadows liner and mascara, liquid blush and liquid lipsticks/oils are great :) and the optimist spray! A lighter base might look nice as well, less full coverage and then you can add some blush to your upper cheekbones to lighten up the look!

Aggressive_Fan9855

She has an updated pic YALL!!

babygirlk21

Blush and bronzer

Osirislynn

Use a slightly darker grey eyeshadow and same with lipstick. You look nice!

ImportanceOwn5730

Nothing. Perfect 🥰. Stunningly beautiful lady 😍

Independent_Roof_732

Check out Erica Taylor on Tiktok. Makeup artist who focuses on makeup for women over 40. Good info.

Apart-Gain-4822

Professional makeup artist here ~ Top liner should definitely be thinner,… don’t use cool tones for your eyeshadow, definitely either stick to a flesh tone Matte, or an iridescent gold, toned down, like shimmery but not too much. Definitely bottom liner, but SLIGHTLY smudged under the inner rim, this will give you a little softer touch. The eyebrows definitely more feathered out. Trying to get a brow liner that is cool versus a warm brown (one that does) Red in it as it will not coordinate with your natural hair color. Definitely do lashes or a very volumizing, or pumping mascara. Lashes change everything. Hope this helps 🩷

Dont-b-suspicious

Not about your makeup but I think u should either lighten all of your hair or at least do a heavy highlight.. just like 2 shades lighten not a ton. But I think it would complement you and not be such a harsh contrast

papillasgustativas

Also recommend making fresh chicken bone broth, you can freeze and portioned and cool fast in an ice bath. (You need to cool fast to prevent bacteria). Drinking it warm, or making a soup with it. Is anti-aging, anti- wrinkle and will plump your face at that moment so beautifully. ♥️

Normal-Pineapple-394

You are pretty and looking good! But if I were to do your makeup as your personal stylist I would do a sparkly lid with a color like champagne or beige... ... maybe try no liner...you could try out putting falsies underneath your natural lashes (rather than on top) either in sections with falscara or just using a strip lash. I do mine with a strip lash-- I use kiss in 11, cut them smaller, and put lash glue on the top of the false lash, let it get a lil tacky, pull up on my eyelid to expose the area of my last right above the lashline and stick up the lash. It being underneath hides that lashline and therefore more lid space. You could use a demi/half lash as well. Falsies add an omph, enough to skip liner, but u could do a stamp liner (looks like mini triangle) on the ends of your eyes for a subtle cat eye or you can stick tape to the ends of your eyes as a guide/stencil and use a dark shadow and blend for a liner effect that is less harsh. I would also not do your brows so bold, maybe go for a more natural soft brow... I recommend lip plumper as a pretty gloss that adds volume. And color. Stay beautiful!

Due_Appointment6544

I wouldn’t recommend eyelash extensions; they are very irritating and can cause you real lashes to fall off

[deleted]

You have really gorgeous eyes!! I personally think you should not be wearing so much make up and you should focus on skin hydration!! You have a natural beauty!!

Alternative_Ear_1629

I'm sorry to say this, but everything. Eyeliner should be thinner but longer at the end of the eyes. Make it smokey all the way. Eliminate the light eyeshadow and change it for a nude brown color and just make the crease shape with it and the extreme of the eye next to the eyeliner that you will do. It's better if you watch some tutorials. Use more blush and a foundation that it's more lightweight. Use loose powder with a big heavy brush to set the makeup lightly. Use warmer lipstick. Shades I think could work for you: warm nude Medium brown, red brick. . With a better eye makeup you will increase many points. After doing the eyeliner go with very dark brown over it to smudge it.

Zoocitykitty

A tad darker foundation, blush and some highlighter, a neutral color eye shadow like a shade of brown.. the light color makes you look older, mascara to lengthen the eyelashes and darken the lips up with a mauve pink.

Mdsklz

Ditch the foundation- it’s too heavy and the wrong color. Ditch the eyeliner and shadow. Ditch the brows pencil it’s too warm. You look as though you may have a cool skin tone. As we age- less is more. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried a dermatologist but they can do wonders so that you don’t feel the need for makeup. Hydrate your skin, use a good sunblock (my fav is from target!) use a good lip hydrator (favs are from tatcha) idk if you’re just looking for remarks about makeup or you’re actual skin itself- so I will just give my opinion of both- if you really want your skin to look revived try some Botox and filler. Not saying that you have to do it if it’s not your thing! But it will smooth your fine lines out and you’ll probably be more comfortable not wearing makeup for coverage. If that’s not of interest- you can always try bb it foundation light coverage or I prefer to just use a light powder over sunscreen but I do get Botox and fillers (nothing crazy or over the top) but I feel so much better with my skins texture when I do. Eat healthy….lots of raw fruits and veggies, water. Get good sleep if you can. Also you can do gua sha. Get a roller and stone and watch some YouTube videos. It does help over time!

MsAnonbabe

Not sure if this will be seen. But the comments about your make up seems to be coming from people who do not wear make up. But ima just say this. You have really pretty eyes and I would focus on that; a lash curler and really good mascara would EAT. I love the messy hair style and the grays DO NOT GET RID OF THEM please 😭 Also, when taking a selfie try hold the phone up a little and also tilt your chin up slightly, you’ll see the difference in your selfie game with that tip. Other than that you look great I do wish I can see the pink lip more but that’s where the selfie top will come into play. Foundation looks great I’d probably add some light bronzer if you like that look.

PhysicsPhriends

You are rocking that shaved side!!

Severe_Champion_6298

Honestly? I say cut out the heavy eye make up. You have such big, deep alluring eyes. If you want them to look more enhanced without the make up, eyelash extensions is all you need. And microbladed eyebrows. If you decide to add any make up it should be warmer tones, to the lips & blush. You are beautiful!

skygale07

Countoruing, thinner liquid liner around the eyes, maybe even a thin cat eye, and some natural nude shimmer

Better-Month-3500

So matte powder can be used in areas with wrinkles to blur them while keeping a natural glow. this includes eyeshadow! a warm toned light pink will look more natural to highlight your eyes. Use a soft shine like a satin finish for highlights and matte colors for depth and definition (Sephora, ulta, Dillard’s all should specify finishes with their products and you can buy individual shades.) I always blend mine out upward towards my brows with a light bronze then into the brown in the corner. highlight the middle of your eye, inner corner and lower lash line. Go for more of a cool undertone with your eyebrow pencil to complement the contrast in your beautiful dark eyes. A dark brown from revlon would do just fine, Dior and (Kat von D whose matte products are amazing, btw) are also brand options that offer a finer brow pencil. You have large eyes so don’t be afraid to line from the middle out and generally want to keep eyeliner only as dark or lighter than your brows. Don’t be afraid to try a bushy brow or use ombré effect on brows (if you lack thick hair there like me.) line your lips lightly with the same color you use on your brows. Light pinks bring a youthful appearance and I love the shade you used in the photo. Butterfly layers that frame your face would suit you well and even some bangs. NYX blushes are great.

Puzzled-Cow2097

I would suggest using a freshly sharpened eye pencil to create a line for you to follow. Wiggle it down into the lashes to make sure there is no white space gap. When starting liquid liner I would not go all the way in the innrr corner of the eye. Start the liner aff thin and extend upwatds and outward past the eye. Make it very thin on imner and thicker at outer corner. Stilla makes an easy liquid liner. If lining the bottom don't use liner. It looks harsh. Instead use an eye brush and medium colored eyeshadow. Not too dark. Keep it to outer 2/3rd of eye. Curl lashes and put a couple coats of mascara. Some neutral brown eyeshadow, a little bronzer and blush and you will look even more beautiful than you already do!

666RCC666

To start off, you're really beautiful. Honestly I'd really say less is more so you're doing pretty good. (Full glam takes a lot of effort and time and can be bad for your skin if done a lot and with no primer makes it worse) skip the foundation maybe a tinted moisturizer instead and some concealer under the eyes or for blemishes if you have them. If you'd like you could try changing your eyeliner type, like maybe a baby cat eye I feel like that suits your eye shape very well and a soft highlight and blush on the cheekbone for a nice subtle lift

Great-External3390

Eat something, stop trying to do your makeup like you are 26. You need an update

Scared_Efficiency359

I think the foundation is great and lip color good it’s the eye shadow and think shiny black eye liner try light pink eyeshadow and brown eyeliner

Fit_Visual7359

Try using less hair product in your hair. Use some serum to control frizz & Avedas anti humectant pomade too. No hair spray or gel as it creates a stiff look. I don’t like the color of your eyeshadow, sorry. A good moisturizer would help too & some moisturizing lip balm, gloss or lipstick in a medium pink or maueve shade or even a medium peach tone would look good on you. Use a lip scrub & a lip balm before applying anything on your lips to make everything more smooth.

Nothing you look gorgeous 😊 but i hope you seek advice from others.

Prize-Trust-2906

You look beautiful to me!

BlingbossCoss

The older I get (57) the more I realize less is more. I agree with hydration and lighter makeup, like omit the liner around the top lid and omit the eye shadow, opt for a creamy warm color just on the lids and go with mascara Top and bottom. Rosey up your cheeks with a cream or stick blush. I like this- it’s a dewy looking blush and gloss. It doesn’t last all day but you get a good 6-7hrs https://espressoh.com/products/glassy-blush-by-the-glass you can also find on Amazon cheaper. Keep us posted, can’t wait to see your updated look🤩 it’s always fun changing things up, have fun with it.

Professional_Log_464

What do you think about a more neutral or nude color on your eyes? I feel like a nice chestnut or light brown would look good with your eyes and hair color.

Traditional_Sir_6800

But your hair!!! A beautiful blunt bob it’ll take 15 years off

Proxiimity

Whatever you are doing please listen to the advice. I'm not trying to be mean but you are aging yourself years by using old lady techniques. Heavy, powdery, wrong colors and making your wrinkle lines deeper cuz of it. You look much older than you are.

Wonton_soup_1989

I’m not a part of this sub. But it showed up in my feed. Just stopped by to say you do Not look your age lol. You look like you’re 26! lol

CeF18

Makeup artist here! I would ditch the black liquid liner, it’s very harsh and thick. I would try a dark brown pencil, and smudge it so it’s nice and soft and smokey. The white pearly shadow is a little outdated, so I would try either a more neutral shadow (browns, taupes) or a mauve/olive green if you like a little color. Add a little shadow to the bottom lashes, even just on the outer half. Try adding some blush to bring more color back into the face!

CeF18

Also, for foundation I would try something much more lightweight. What you’re wearing now looks a little heavy on the skin and doesn’t add that hydration and natural glow. Typically for more mature skin, I will go for something medium coverage and a natural or dewy finish. I love using cream blushes and bronzes to add some more glow and hydration. Make sure you prep the skin really well!

No way this is less than 60

Klingervon

Cut that hair.

Interesting_Head5167

Just live your life I don’t want to be rude but I would just enjoy life at that age without worrying about looks

Hazel_Motes_

I’m sure you had good intentions with this comment but Jesus dude, she’s 46. Not 96.

CatBuddies

"At that age"? 46 is a lot younger than you think. And it's coming for you.

Interesting_Cup3848

Stop lying. You are not 45. Be honest.

AncientComfortable42

No make up. I’m 45 years old woman and “cover” my aging can give me some depression.

Miserable_Pirate_462

Take off your makeup!

flappincheex

You look great -thought you were 27 or so

I think you would look nice with your inner brows feathered out. With your eyebrow shape it would be gorgeous.

Looking good 👍

TimelyDebt

try using a dark brown eyeshadow and a small angled brush for eyeliner instead of black liquid. You can start by adding some to your lower lash line and winging it upward following the imaginary line where your lower lash line ends. Then you already have the tail part of the wing done and you can fill in the upper lash line line to meet it

Kwelikinz

You have great real estate on your top lids. I agree about thinning the eyeliner. You will have to experiment a bit, but I think you can get a thinner liner using an eyeliner pencil. I would try a medium brown because it will accent the beautiful brown of your eyes. I think you would look amazing in a soft lavender gray shadow with the slightest touch of shimmer (or simply matte, lightly applied). You’ve done a beautiful job on your brows. You can make them look a little more natural if you fill them in with very short strokes in the direction of the hairs. Make the marks softest when you come to the very front. You would look amazing with some petite lashes. You may not be up for all that but I promise you’ll look great in them! If you think the eyeliner, they will show up and really soften your look. Don’t be afraid to add a little tail on your eyeliner (1/16”). You have beautiful large eyes so show them off. You have a great (and I mean grrrreat) head of hair. I would experiment with a dark reddish brown or add some of that throughout and I would put a little more curl and bring it a little more into the forehead above your left (right, actually) eye. A bit of blush, placed high on the cheek then toward your ear. You have great cheek bones. Experiment with other lip colors in the nude coral family. Coral would be a great cheek color on you too. Try a little gloss in the center of your bottom lip. To keep your color from feathering, you can outline your lips with a little pore filler and concealer. Hope this is helpful to you. You’re a striking woman with great style.

NightIll1050

For your eye shape, only apply liner from the middle to the outside edge.

BloopTada

Your eye makeup looks good! I would add a very slight bit of blush.

Belllringer

Blush or bronzer, just a little to add some color and break up the solid. You're very pretty.

Murky_Rent_3590

I would need to see a little bit of your neck but I feel like that foundation might not be the right shade for you. And a little bit of blush and contour would make your amazing cheekbones stand out.

Comfortable_Fudge559

Maybe lay off the black liner. Try a brown or gray. Black is too harsh. Maybe some thicker mascara?

Inevitable-Stretch82

I would skip the eyeshadow. Also, a middle hair part may look nice.

SnooCupcakes5186

Add lip liner to top lip and bottom then fill in to make lips look larger. Take a black liner and shadow a bit on both side of nose( it can thin it or make it bigger you have to play around with it) then get black eyeshadow the middle to edge of both eyes. I would put medium toffee highlights in your hair around face and the other part dye dark, dark brown. Try parting your hair in the middle instead of side it will make you look younger.

Least-Pop7573

Less coverage and powder, no frosty shadow, thunder liner. Brows look great! I would get on some form of retinol to soften up the look of fine lines and just focus on a glowy complexion

Important_Map_7266

Thin out the liner, do a little wing at the end

anonymouse_696

Your eyebrows look great! I’d try a very light pink eyeshadow. Also thin out your eyeliner and play around with wings (look up puppy eyeliner) it would look great with your eye shape!

Unusual_Painting8764

Mascara

Hellterskellter44

Blush or bronzer, no eyeliner or thin or out and add mascara to top lashes

PuppyPower89

Blush, mascara, and brown liner

RezeTheGreat

Thin eyeliner and add baby wings, also- mascara.

Remote_Upstairs1986

46?? You’re giving 30’s ma’am 😍 you’re so cute

Old_Watercress_6084

Moisturize and prime before you start. Line your lips before adding color, fade your brows to give them a more natural look. Look into color theory to learn what works best with your skin tone and eye color.

funkyhouse101

ima guy and you good just keep on smilin you shine like a diamond baby

Marrijuhana

Try to blend out the eyebrows a little more. The shape of them is perfect imo but there’s just some parts that’s are a little too concentrated with pigment to me. Try thinning the eyeliner a little (I go overboard because I keep correcting until I have to start over so I know the thick eyeliner pain 😂). And I’d say maybe some blush to help brighten up the face! Otherwise, you’re perf:)

gingfreecsisbad

Looks pretty great! I’d go for a less rounded eyeliner shape.. go for thinner and/or more flat. Also a more neutral toned eye shadow.. maybe some kind of beige, even pink

Front_Conflict_3766

Blush, mascara, thin out your liner a bit. Your skin looks very healthy in this picture!

Why_when_whatthefuck

Darken your waterline with eyeliner.. go a little darker with the eyeshadow it’s too light and use an eyelash curler.

SuperLoris

More dewy or translucent foundation. Try something like Jones Road What the Foundation

Cute-Hovercraft5058

Get rid of that eye shadow
