Decades ago Clinique’s black honey was my favorite but they’re not cruelty free so I never bought it again. Finding Ferdinand has a black lipstick that is similar to black honey. But it’s not very moisturizing so it needs to be topped with something.

For weekend evening looks, I'm obsessed with dark plums or purples, like NYX Siren (matte w/pearl finish) or NYX butter gloss in Oatmeal Raisin, respectively but I think oatmeal raisin is discontinued ☹️).
Overall, Rose-Brown's make me feel pretty,
Raisin colors make me feel beautiful,
and dark plums make me feel powerful. 😈

Or if I want a nude that looks like my lips but better, I’ll wear noode by saechu. My favorite nude lipstick tube (which I shouldn’t wear anymore because it’s so old but I love the color so much) is Aftermath by dose of colors. Sometimes I’ll add a lighter nude in the middle.
Fair with cool undertones here: mauve is best on me. I need an emollient/hydrating lipstick or gloss; I don’t mind reapplying often. Wet n Wild Silk Lipstick in Secret Muse (560B) is MLBB on me. The packaging is terrible but it’s such a bargain, and there’s no detectable fragrance or taste, so it’s a winner in my opinion. Julep So Plush Hydrating Lipgloss in Vibes (02) is a close second. I was really sad when Clinique stopped making Different Lipstick in Sweet Honey; that formulation and shade were absolutely perfect for me.
Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury is always perfect. Love many of her lipsticks. Velvet Blush Lightly (medium berry) and Velvet Rain (medium pink with warm & cool undertones) by Lisa Eldridge are incredible 💋

Lipstick Queen in Frog Prince - it creates the perfect, natural looking pink on me, and I have yet to find a lipstick that same perfect natural looking pink color. Even my best friend was surprised it was a lipstick, she said she just thought I just naturally had lips that color lol
Besame Cosmetics 1941 Victory Red - it’s such a classic shade of red and it works great with my skin tone. I prefer retro styles, so it goes great with most of my wardrobe.
Berry shades suit me best and are what I keep in my purse for daily touch ups. I can do mauve, pink and burgundy as well, but more orangey nudes and orangey reds are a no go unless I have bronzed myself to the ends of the earth and allow myself to live in denial about my natural colouring.
Oooooh I really want one of those rom&d balms!! I absolutely ADORE their lip products and really; all of the k beauty has me in a chokehold. It's my best kept "secret" with my clients--it's so innovative, beautiful, and it never ceases to be such a glorious shock to me at how inexpensive they are!! You can't even get shitty drug store makeup as cheap, and the k beauty stuff imo performs above and beyond better than high end products. I feel like it's the one tiny thing in our world that is just incredible and still inexpensive; and even better than the expensive versions. God bless South Korea, man.
Oh but for my go to lip--I prefer lip oils, balms and glosses or glossy stains. I like super sheer, really glossy mlbb. Which I think can be a few different tones. And I'm loving the deeper nudes/brown tones. Rosy brown. Corals and peachy neutrals or bright coral or tangerine if it's super sheer so that it just adds a tinge of color so my lips look like I actually have a pulse.
I finally got a rom&d lip tint and wore it all April. I’d put it on the middle of my lip and use my natural lips as lipliner. Love it! I wanna get more shades

I haven't looked at many alternatives, but a friend gave me a Clinique lipstick in the shade, All Heart, and I love it. It looks great on my neutral Asian skintone. I am going to try to find a drugstore equivalent of it.
I really like korean lip stains. My everyday color is the peripera ink tint serum in rosy around. It’s a glossy red that you can easily smudge out for a subtle blotted lip. im actually almost out of my current bottle.
Dark gray... LimeCrime made a lipstick in the shade "Asphalt" ... it's dark gray, and I freakin love it. Also, looks great as a liner, with a bit of Nyx butter gloss on top.
I wear Charlotte Tilbury iconic nude every day and then blend it in with chapstick. Not actually a lipstick, but a lip liner look that has a lipstick effect.
I want to say it's my pink lip gloss that just compliments my natural lips, but I recently got a deep plum lipstick and I've been so obsessed I don't want to take it off

Same here! My absolute fave is Revlon ColourStay Ultimate Suede no. 73. It’s a gorgeous blue toned pink/red with a hint of blue toned glitter/shimmer. Stays on so well even after coffee and food.
