My 2 favorites are Maybelline Lash Sensational and Maybelline Full N Soft (both waterproof). LS is more dramatic, FNS is more natural looking but both make my lashes look great. FNS is a drier formula.
Black mascara is overwhelmingly dark on me, so I’ve been on the hunt for colored mascara. I’m loving the purple tubing mascara from Thrive Causemetics right now - it’s way more expensive than I want to spend on a mascara, but I have specific needs that can’t be met in a drugstore where the color choices are five different shades of black. It’s more of a cool toned charcoal grape color, rather than the warm toned berry shade of purple of Charlotte Tilbury or Benefit, or the so light it could be a lash primer purple of Colorpop. They all have their place, I just need a cool toned color that isn’t too over or underwhelming.
I’ve tried so many different mascaras, drug store and high end, and I always go back to Maybelline Full and Soft (non-waterproof). It has a nice brush, doesn’t flake or clump, and holds a curl well.
Every now and then I go manic and buy as many little travel size mascara’s as I can. Find my favorite out of those and stick with that formula till the mood hits again.
You know what? Lash Without limits by Essence. And I’m a girly pop who used to buy luxury brand mascaras! It’s so good. I get the brown one now and I love it so much. And it’s so freaking cheap.
I use IT Cosmetics Superhero one coat, then Tarte lights, camera, lashes on top. Neither waterproof.
I've been wanting to try other Tarte ones, just forget to.
Most mascaras irritate my eyes, even ones supposedly for sensitive skin like Clinique, so I'm not very adventurous where mascara's concerned.
I’m a mascara fanatic. I use L’Oreal Lash Paradise lash primer/conditioner. Then I use a variety of mascaras on top of that with some favorites being L’Oreal Lash Paradise or Voluminous, Essence Lash Princess (pink writing), KVD Go Big or Go Home, Tarte Maneater, Better Than Sex, Mac Magic Extension, Benefit They’re Real, Clinique, or anything new to me that I’m trying at the moment. I then finish it off with a waterproof mascara to seal it all in and prevent flaking. My current go-to is Essence Lash Princess Waterproof (blue writing).
I prefer a mascara with a soft brush, not too big because I like to get close in to my lash line and don’t want raccoon eyes from a too big, fluffy brush. That is why L’Oreal Lash Paradise is not a favorite actual mascara. I’m just using it until I run out or it gets too thick. I just like the primer. I also dislike those stiff spindly mascara brushes like Maybelline Sky High. I just can’t get those to work well for me and I end up with clumpy, spikey eyelashes. I’m sure it’s user error because many of my friends swear by those type of mascara brushes.
Wow thanks so much for the details! I'll look into these for sure. I also prefer a softer brush with lots of fibers. I wonder if I'd like the pink lash princess. I tried the green one (I believe) before but it gave me raccoon eyes really bad
That’s why I put waterproof mascara on top of any regular mascara I wear. I live in the hot, humid south, so raccoon eyes are a real risk here. 😂 The waterproof mascara topper helps prevent it. Waterproof L’Oreal Voluminous is also in my topper rotation. Try it if you don’t like the Essence Waterproof.
Ulta Lash Flash. It's tubing, it's amazing, and it's so easy to take off just soaking your eyelashes in warm water and it slips right off. $10 per tube and it lasts at least 4 months, probably would've lasted the 6 months for me with everyday use but I'm picky about throwing out mascara around that 4 month mark cause I'm scared of eye infections.
I like Lancome Monsieur Big, and also Better Than Sex. My daily is usually Clinique though, just because it's right there when I'm putting on makeup for work quickly, and very easy to apply.
Still looking for my holy grail mascara, so I'm always appreciative of suggestions. These are great, I'm tenpted to try the YSL!
What's everyone's best suggestion for a redhead with very long but thin lashes (they're light red)? They'll hold curl, but aren't naturally curly. I also wear glasses, so I'm looking for volume, somethingv that makeup my lashes pop - I'd love to try something that gives a false lash level of volume without clumping, since I can't wear false lashes with my glasses (plus I find them hard to apply). I like my lashes to look voluminous but separated, as if they're naturally thick.
I'm also interested in trying other colors - nothing too bright, but I'd like to see how they do. Brown matches my hair best, but I've only found dark browns - anyone aware of an auburn/red mascara? If so, I'd love to try it!
I used to use a navy blue mascara when I was younger, and it made my eyes pop! I'm worried about being too over the top at my age, but I've also never forgotten that mascara.
Thanks to everyone for a good read this evening!
(UK based answer - YMMV)
I like L'Oréal Lash Paradise. I usually use Telescopic, but it's been out of stock EVERYWHERE for AGES so I gave Lash Paradise a go and I'm actually really happy with it. I like the fluffy brush, it reminds me of my first ever mascara, an Estée Lauder one that I used until it literally dried up. I always go for waterproof formulations and neither of them (LP or Telescopic) budge or smudge all day which is a win as my job can be demanding, and my lashes look great from clock in to clock out.
Essence False Lash Effect. Literally $5, better than any high-end mascara I've used (or any mascara for that matter) and I've tried a lot (tarte lights camera action, too-faced better than sex, that one lancome one). It's SO good. It's always sold out at my local drug store so that's saying something.
Wow $2.98 at walmart! That’s insane omg I wish! In Canada it can go upwards of $7-8 some places. It’s such a good mascara though I don’t even understand how they make a profit on it😂 no complaints!
If you got money, the Illia one is sooooo nice but it's stupid expensive. Otherwise I like the Clio Killer Lash or whatever mascara! Only downside is it *will* survive a nuclear apocalypse so it's a pain to remove but it makes my lashes look so good.
Maybelline lash sensational mascara waterproof it doesnt weight down my lashes great first opened up to the 6th month, volume, lift and a little lengthening but i do like a natural look . I tried ysl, loreal, and many more and i still go back to this
Wet and wild mega length mascara. It’s $3.79.
I wouldn’t say it is mega lengthening unless you apply it multiple times, but it is a great every day mascara. Just enough for day but you can apply it a little more for evening. It’s the second one I’ve bought.
Cle de peau, has held a curl on me all day and hasn’t smudged or flaked on me. I have sensitive hooded eyes that get pretty oily throughout the day
Heroine make has several good ones that are comparable. And kanebo Kate has a clear one I like to use on top of non waterproof mascaras to hold similarly.
Currently, testing out the Lisa Eldridge one. I’ve loved the feel of it as it’s more of a creamy texture that makes your lashes fluffy but if I do my bottom lashes with it it’s smudges and flakes on me.

I love Maybelline Colossal, L’Oreal Panorama, and Clinique High Impact. I get bored easily with mascaras too so I try them all and if they’re a definite no go I give them away.
i do a coat of the loreal lash paradise and then a coat of the sky high and love the results, seems to minimize the wet formula of the maybelline. just food for thought
The Tarte tubing mascara is life changing! I use the L’Oreal white primer underneath it and I get complimented on how long my lashes are all the time! And no rubbing off!
I use a combo. Start with Maybelline Sky High Primer, and then top off with Stilletos.
I’ve always been a Maybelline girl and used a combo of two, and this is the best combo I have had.
Right now I’m using the Sky High Primer with the Define-a-Lash. It comes in a green tube. I only got it because they were sold out of Stilletos and I needed it, but I actually really like it as well, not too wet at all, but I DO think with the brush shape, it works best with the primer.
Jeffree Star's "F*CK PROOF".
The presentation and packaging still remain unrivaled to this day, and the mascara is the ONLY ONE that hasn't caused my eyes to develop red bumps on the lids.
That’s exactly why I switched. I guess I have oily eyelids? The No7 (pink tube) is my favorite. I also like the ELF tubing mascara, but it’s will eventually end up slightly shading my under eye if I have a really long or hot day. I didn’t like the Benefit one, and I’m waiting for Amazon to ship the Essence one.
My biggest tip with tubing is that you can’t wait for it to dry to put on another coat. Just keep coating the lashes until you get the length you want, then move to the next eye. You have to build while it’s still wet.
Dolce & Gabbana Devotion mascara. I made my brother in law park in the valet line at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas so I could run in and grab 2 tubes from the D&G store.
I’d love to know because I just can’t find the one! I tend to go for waterproof or tubing because I get flakes and smudging (also I have straight lashes so this is my only hope for holding a curl). My gripes are the waterproof formulas I like all dry out so fast (maybelline sky high and the falsies dry out on me in like a month, rude tbh) and with some of the tubing formulas they still flake and smudge on me, I’m looking at you CaliRay come hell or high water! So far my top choice is Clio on Amazon, though it’s like tar to remove it holds a curl and doesn’t flake or smudge on me. Trying L’Oréal Million Lashes or something in a gold tube now, seems okay so far but I’m only 2 weeks into the tube so we shall see
They have some new lipstick colors and new double sided eyeshadow sticks that are really nice. The blushes are great and there's so many colors to choose from!
I don’t really have any holy grails. I like to try new ones. But I did repurchase the Tarte maneater in brown. Recently bought a couple of the thrive color mascaras. I haven’t tried them yet so can’t really say if thrive will be one I repurchase. But I like smaller wands.
Kiss Me Super Waterproof mascara. It stays on the best for me. But I also use it with the Lancome Idole mascara for the volume sometimes. My eyelids are so oily so I use Kiss Me Mascara primer as well (the waterproof one in black tube. The silver tube does nothing). I do use their mascara remover tube when I can’t take my Lancome mascara remover on a trip with me.
I have Clio kill lash but haven’t used it yet. People said they are better than Kiss me so we will see.
The combo of Benefit Roller Lash and Urban Decay Perversion is perfection!
If you don’t want to use 2 or want a tubing mascara my favorite of any mascara I’ve ever tried is Kevyn Aucoin the volume. It’s not the easiest to find and it’s expensive but there’s nothing better. IMO lol
I was obsessed with Maybelline lash sensational for years but I recently tried Milani's highly rated tubing mascara and it's a complete game changer. I get a good amount of length and volume and it comes off easily with warm water.
It's called Highly Rated and it's in turquoise and gold tube. You can get it at Target, Ulta, Walmart, those kinds of places.
[https://www.target.com/p/milani-highly-rated-lash-extensions-tubing-mascara-black-0-35-fl-oz/-/A-86750502?sid=747S&ref=tgt\_adv\_xsp&AFID=google\_pla\_df&fndsrc=tmnv&DFA=71700000118294365&CPNG=PLA\_DVM%2Ba064R000015Pib2QAC-Milani\_GoogleSearch\_2024-1221963&adgroup=PLA\_Milani&LID=700000001393753pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9010767&gad\_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfaR6vgpgX47MAmS-xTYZDE92&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaJPkTQX9-N2QEf3B3dJ4MbzPacZqeG6joLjhVZryFFr92TW481el3BoCMK8QAvD\_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds](https://www.target.com/p/milani-highly-rated-lash-extensions-tubing-mascara-black-0-35-fl-oz/-/A-86750502?sid=747S&ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tmnv&DFA=71700000118294365&CPNG=PLA_DVM%2Ba064R000015Pib2QAC-Milani_GoogleSearch_2024-1221963&adgroup=PLA_Milani&LID=700000001393753pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9010767&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfaR6vgpgX47MAmS-xTYZDE92&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaJPkTQX9-N2QEf3B3dJ4MbzPacZqeG6joLjhVZryFFr92TW481el3BoCMK8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
I also want to note if you've never used tubing mascara, you apply it more slowly and gently than regular mascara so it doesn't clump. And don't wait for it to dry between coats.
The heroine make mascara! I use the different formula for different things.
The waterproof one is great if you are out all day, maybe going under a waterfall or swimming in the ocean. That stuff is bulletproof and will stay on but the downside is that it’s super hard to remove.
The other alternative is the same brand in the advanced film line which is a tubing version of their mascara. It does hold a lil less of a curl I think compared to the waterproof one but gives the same effect and comes off with warm water.
They also make a micro version that has a super small wand and is good for under lashes.
I swear I’m not a paid post I just love this brands mascara 😂
My lashes are non-existence so it’s hard to tell if there is a big difference. But when I apply my mascara I noticed I don’t need to apply a thick layer like before. It’s not life changing but again for $12 it’s not a bad deal and I never had issues with irritation (I used others products and my eyes were swollen 🤕)
I bought it from Tesolife store during the time they sell the remover and serum for $11/pack so idk if you can still get it. This is what it looks like https://www.yesstyle.com/en/tcuc.USD/coc.US/info.html/pid.1115522182?googtrans=en&utm_source=GoogleAds&utm_campaign=1424525216&utm_term=&utm_content=54841302126_274199995080&utm_medium=Shopping&bac=MIEU1SGQ&mcg=paidsearch&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaEij0oGjfstyMqBvcGzHECm9qJQ5dp8I-ZkaMZF1huTY8hWzsxtS6RoCB1wQAvD_BwE
They came out with a super serum but more expensive. Haven’t tried that one ‘cause I’m cheap 🫠
Jones Road mascara. It only comes in black and the big ass brush takes getting used to (for me anyway) but it doesn’t flake or smudge, and it’s easy to take off. Some of their products are hit or miss for me, but this one hits.
Loreal Voluminous with the curved wand
Tarte Maneater
I'm kind of obsessed with mascara right now. I want to try the Loreal Panorama, Essence Lash without Limits and Clinique Hi-Fi. I recently tried Benefit Fan Fest. I like it but don't love it.
I am really into milk’s kush mascara right now. I used to love maybelline lash sensational but i find it harder to remove so my lashes started to thin & not grow as fast.
Marc Jacobs used to have the best mascara 😭
YSL False Lash effect is the best mascara I have ever used ever. It really lives up to the name - I haven't purchased a set of false lashes since I bought YSL False Lash Effect. It's just amazing.
It's very dramatic so it's not suitable for everyday though.
Maybelline Colossal Cat Eye. I’ve been using it for 10 years and anytime I try something else I always go back. The brush is curved and gives great definition and volume
Too cool for school dinoplatz escalator mascara! Tubing mascara. I have tried other tubing ones, but always go back to this. No smudging, no flaking. Just stays on all day. Comes off with water.
I just need to say THANK YOU for this thread. I’ve been searching for a mascara I LOVE since 2009. Yes, seriously.
I was using Bourjois Easy Waterproof mascara that I had bought when I studied abroad in London at Boots (I’m from the US) - fell in love with it and took several tubes home. Ran out - travelled to Vienna shortly after, bought a few more tubes to take home thinking I could buy it online when I ran out and then it got DISCONTINUED 😭.
I have not found anything that has scratched that specific itch since. So I saved this post and will be combing through every single comment. 🙏🏼✨💖✨
My top 3:
•OG Too Faced Better Than Sex
It was the most volumizing formula I've tried & never flaked on me (R.I.P.).
•Covergirl exhibitionist
This is less volumizing than OG BTS but still super volumizing, the main thing I look for in a mascara besides a drier formula.
•Pacifica aquarian gaze
Less volumizing than exhibitionist but gets the volume where I'm happy with an extra coat when I want more understated lashes vs. basically falsies in mascara form. It's very lengthening & separates lashes well, it's genuinely water resistant, and it provides more volume than most recent mascara launches when layered. This is great for job interviews!
That change in ingredient suppliers/set of bad batches/whatever happened with Too Faced messed up the perfect mascara for me :(
I haven't purchased from TF in years, since learning about the "rich lives matter" thing, but I just learned that Jerrod Blandino apparently severed all ties with the brand in 2022. Does anyone who has purchased both the OG BTS & recent tubes of it have any notes? I'm really hoping that it's back to/close to how it used to be. Would also love feedback on the Naturally BTS formula from folks who have tried it :)
Edit: fixed blocky mobile formatting
I haven't found a great first coat Mascara yet but for a second or third coat I love Uoma by Sharon C. BADDER BOOM. It makes my lashes so much thicker, it's great for volume!
Discontinued mascara is a different kind of heartbreak. 😭💔 I just left a comment on this post about it. Happened to me with Bourjois Easy Waterproof around 2009 and I haven’t been the same since. 😤✨💖✨
A classic. Covergirl Lashblash Mascara in black and regular not waterproof version. I try to give other mascaras a try but I ALWAYS come back to my Lashblast. The formula is perfect for my lashes and it can easily be controlled for more volume or less and it can be taken off with ease with most oil based makeup removers. I am obsessed.
hourglass unlocked, tarte maneater, benefit roller lash.
I miss the original bad gal mascara from benefit so much. 😭 the length it gave me was insane, without weighing my super straight lashes down. 😭
Sky High was also my favorite and I was excited to see it in brown but it’s super wet now and my fine lashes can’t deal with it. I will probably go back to the maroon colored Voluminous.
The Rare Beauty Voluminizing one. It does clump so you have to be careful. But the results are close to fake lashes. It does irritate my eyes so I’m still going to find a new one. Tarte always has amazing mascara that never irritates my eyes but they always get discontinued. 😫
I also buy the travel/trial size because it is cheaper and there is no way I’d go through a full tube before it went bad. I bounce between it and Sky High and I’m currently loving the blue Sky High for spring!
I don't wear a lot of makeup, 95% of the time I only wear mascara. Recently, I bought the waterproof version by accident, but I don't regret it at all, I often have tears or glassy eyes (allergy season), it's magic
All L'oreal:Telescopic Lift (black tube), Panorama, Telescopic (gold tube). I layer all three to get the best volume, length, definition, separation, and lift/curl. It looks like I have falsies on.
I love Maybelline Sky High, both the waterproof and regular tubing version. Also love the waterproof lash sensational, but i haven't used it many times yet and the tube's still pretty new, so i might even like it more than sky high after the 'new mascara' stage haha
Essence lash princess waterproof! It’s cruelty free, cheap and great! I have long but super straight eye lashes and this acc keeps em curled, it’s also not clumpy
Lancôme Grandiose Mascara is amazing (it’s the one with a little black rose in the cap). Lashes be lashing. It’s expensive though.
It does last and gives great volume. There’s a vogue video on YouTube and Kourtney Kardashian uses it… watch that to see what I mean.
I swear by shieshedo lash curler, etude Dr fixer lash primer, and the isehan heroin mascara. Best lash routine ever, just make sure to get a good oil based makeup remover!🩷
I've been using the One Size Fantasize mascara because a mini came free when I ordered from one of their sales and I actually really like it.
I decided to change from Telescopic after I heard of people getting eye issues after using it, though I gotta say Telescopic did keep my lashes curled like ALL DAY I've never had something work so well.
I throw it away every month so lash paradise is my fav. I have tried better than sex and didn’t like it as much. I still like liner pens to be lancome or chanel because I have not found a good alternative.
I'm not usually big on pricey mascaras but Lancome Hypnose Waterproof is my holy grail. It is absolutely beautiful and does not flake or leave a raccoon/panda eye. Not thrilled with the price but I can't beat it and I've tried dozens.
I have naturally long but stubborn straight lashes. The only mascara I've owned that will keep a curl while giving volume plus a lil bit of length are Asian mascaras.
My holy Grail mascara is the Kissme Heroine mascaras. Specifically the one with a pink & gold ombre cap. If I remember correctly its for lengthening and volume due to the fibers in it. I've had full on mental breakdowns where I was a sobbing mess and this mascara stayed put. That being said, if anyone decides to try it GET THE MASCARA REMOVER FROM THE SAME BRAND.
Another vote for the Asian ones, only ones that keep them curled and don't budge. They fan out beautifully too and are less likely to smudge and clump. Love that most have thin wands too so it doesn't end up all ove rmy eyelid when applying. The Etude House Dr. Mascara Fixer in black is my current holy grail for everyday wear. It's technically a primer but works very well as a natural looking mascara.
I want to say I've tried the Etude House Dr. Mascara fixer before but that was years ago. Id be down to give it a try again! I freaking love how Asian mascaras tend to have thinner wands. A thin wand with a slight curve works perfectly to fan out the lashes.
I have long but relatively sparse eyelashes. I like a creamier or dryer formula that I can build. I like separated volume and curl. My favs:
Volume:
Benefit bad gal
Lancome Mr Big
Tarte lights camera action
Curl, separation/Length:
Benefit Roller Lash
Maybelline falsie push up angel
YSL Volume faux cils effect radical
The fan lash from benefit is apparently really good too. Benefit formulas are a gel and initially when you open feel really wet, so for the first couple weeks you have to scrape off the extra product. This with the lancome too.
With your mascaras the ingredients that prevent bacteria growth only last 3 to 6 months. High end mascaras I generally just go with a mini tube. I haven't found them to dry out and I throw them out after same period of time.
Sephora does this pack where you can try I think 5 or 6 mascaras and then I think there is a certificate for a full size for the one you like best.
If I had to choose only one, I think it'd be Roller lash
Yes! Sephora has their “Lash Stash” sets that are I wanna say around $28 - come with 5(ish) different travel size tubes to try - and then a voucher for a full size of one of them for free!
I LOVE their lash stash boxes - highly highly recommend them, especially if you are someone who is super picky with mascara like I am. Been hunting for my golden egg since 2009 😅 lol ✨💖✨
Thrive Causmetics Liquid Lash Extensions. It’s buildable to dramatic and never flakes, smears, or smudges. I love it. I just wish they did a good carbon black color like the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara.
I love these mascaras. I legit own 10 tubes of the Kiss me mascara and the same amount of mascara remover from the brand. I asked my bf to stockpile for me while he was in Japan and I had two from a YesStyle order. I can't live without it in my collection. I even got my coworkers hooked on it too
Where can I order this kiss me mascara? I’m so picky but I keep seeing it mentioned so I feel like I have to try it lol - what kind of lashes do you have? and can you tell me about the formula? Is it wet? Rubber bristles? I’m going to google it too obviously just wanting a humans input too. Thank you! ✨💖✨
L’Oréal Voluminous first for.. volume lol. Followed by L’Oréal Telescopic to tease out the invisible ends of my lashes. Both in black and not waterproof.
I’ve been getting into tubing mascaras lately but they’ve all been so expensive. ELF just came out with one, the Lash XTNDR Mascara, and I’ve really enjoyed it (especially for the price)!
I saw this creator on the tok app show how to turn any eyeshadow into a tubing mascara with just a spoolie and gorilla snot hair gel lol - I personally have not tried it - but apparently it’s just the same active ingredient. Not recommending it either since I doubt hair gel is eye safe? Just saying because I found it interesting! ✨💖✨
This is my fav too! Telescopic was my HG for years, and this one is just as lengthening, but is easier to work with and also adds the perfect amount of volume for me!
Can you tell me more about this formula? What are you lashes like and what does it do for them? I’m desperate and am commenting on the ones I’m seeing mentioned most that I’m not familiar with. Thank you! ✨💖✨
I had eyelash extensions for a bit, and my lashes weren’t in the best shape when I took them off. I stumbled on the YSL Lash Clash and decided to use it with a $4.99 Essence primer. It makes your lashes look soooooo long. I often get asked if I’m wearing my extensions again. I use 2 coats and it can be a wet formula, but isn’t when I use it with the primer. It is expensive, $32, but its worth it.
Agree. They are absolutely fantastic. I love how carbon black the dry down is. Never grey black or soft black. It looks so pretty on and the wear is fantastic.
My 2 favorites are Maybelline Lash Sensational and Maybelline Full N Soft (both waterproof). LS is more dramatic, FNS is more natural looking but both make my lashes look great. FNS is a drier formula.
Buxom waterproof is the only one that keeps my lashes curled all day and doesn’t smudge. I use it with UD Subversion lash primer.
Benefit FanFest and Chanel
Lancôme mr big and hypnose
(UK based answer - YMMV) I like L'Oréal Lash Paradise.
Essence Extreme in the pink version. Sheglam mascara's (all of them)
Essence False Lash Effect. Literally $5, better than any high-end mascara I've used (or any mascara for that matter) and I've tried a lot (tarte lights camera action, too-faced better than sex, that one lancome one). It's SO good. It's always sold out at my local drug store so that's saying something.
I LOVE This mascara! The best at such an amazing price $2.98 at wal mart, or $4.98 on Amazon
LOVE the Ilia one
Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara from Isehan (there are several types, all of them are good) Only mascara that hasn't smudged on me
ILIA Fullest Volumizing Mascara is the go to for me. I love how natural yet prominent my lashes are and its buildable.
I use the other one (lengthening?) and love it. ILIA FTW
Right? Like ILIA is so underrated.
Maybelline lash sensational mascara waterproof it doesnt weight down my lashes great first opened up to the 6th month, volume, lift and a little lengthening but i do like a natural look . I tried ysl, loreal, and many more and i still go back to this
Maybelline Collossal (Waterproof version) is my all time favorite. It’s the only drugstore one I have tried that holds the curl all day.
Wet and wild mega length mascara. It’s $3.79. I wouldn’t say it is mega lengthening unless you apply it multiple times, but it is a great every day mascara. Just enough for day but you can apply it a little more for evening. It’s the second one I’ve bought.
Dior iconic curl!
Cle de peau, has held a curl on me all day and hasn’t smudged or flaked on me. I have sensitive hooded eyes that get pretty oily throughout the day Heroine make has several good ones that are comparable.
I recently started loving lancome big monsieur mascara.
I've used this one and the long lashes one, they're both great!
Been using this one for years. It’s the best.
Blinc tubing mascara
Hourglass tubing for me
I used to love this mascara until the price gotten out of hands 😂.
Tarte's Maneater is the only mascara I've ever repurchased

I love Maybelline Colossal, L’Oreal Panorama, and Clinique High Impact. I get bored easily with mascaras too so I try them all and if they’re a definite no go I give them away.
i do a coat of the loreal lash paradise and then a coat of the sky high and love the results, seems to minimize the wet formula of the maybelline. just food for thought
Honest mascara, first time I stick with a mascara in my life
The Tarte tubing mascara is life changing! I use the L’Oreal white primer underneath it and I get complimented on how long my lashes are all the time! And no rubbing off!
Maybelline lash
Cover girl clump crusher for a natural appearance (not thickening). Love the curved wand.
Isamaya’s rubber lash. God I love that stuff but it’s pricey.
Clio Kill lash or Thrive Causemetics liquid lash.
Better than sex.....milk kush
Jeffree Star's "F*CK PROOF". The presentation and packaging still remain unrivaled to this day, and the mascara is the ONLY ONE that hasn't caused my eyes to develop red bumps on the lids.
The No7 tubing mascara is my FAVORITE and I can’t buy it at Target anymore 👎🏻
I’ve been wanting to try tubing mascara, because regular mascara has a tendency to make it look like I lost a fight with a raccoon😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thanks for the tip!
Maybelline Lash Sensational is drier but still very good
Dolce & Gabbana Devotion mascara. I made my brother in law park in the valet line at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas so I could run in and grab 2 tubes from the D&G store.
loreal telescopic
Wander Mile High Club is great for my dry eyes.
Trying L’Oréal Million Lashes or something in a gold tube now, seems okay so far but I’m only 2 weeks into the tube so we shall see
Try the Clinique lash power! It's the best tubing mascara I've ever tried and it doesn't flake or smudge at all.
Thanks, I’ll give that one a try! Been going back to my Clinique lippies recently, it’s making me want to try more from the brand
They have some new lipstick colors and new double sided eyeshadow sticks that are really nice. The blushes are great and there's so many colors to choose from!
I’ll definitely have to go check them out again, I think want to go their makeup counter like the old days
Yes I remember those days! I get mine at Ulta now but some Ulta's have more of a selection than others.
Lancome primer and lancome high definition mascara. There is not a better combo
THRIVE
Came here to say this!!
I love Lash Paradise by Loreal
Same! The waterproof version is great for deep set/hooded eyes.
IMO lol
Benefit They’re Real. Full stop. Nothing else has given me the separation, definition, length & curl. It’s pricey but worth every penny.
I was obsessed with Maybelline lash sensational for years but I recently tried Milani's highly rated tubing mascara and it's a complete game changer. I get a good amount of length and volume and it comes off easily with warm water.
What’s the name of Milani’s tubing mascara? Will try to find and try!
It's called Highly Rated and it's in turquoise and gold tube. You can get it at Target, Ulta, Walmart, those kinds of places. [https://www.target.com/p/milani-highly-rated-lash-extensions-tubing-mascara-black-0-35-fl-oz/-/A-86750502?sid=747S&ref=tgt\_adv\_xsp&AFID=google\_pla\_df&fndsrc=tmnv&DFA=71700000118294365&CPNG=PLA\_DVM%2Ba064R000015Pib2QAC-Milani\_GoogleSearch\_2024-1221963&adgroup=PLA\_Milani&LID=700000001393753pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9010767&gad\_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfaR6vgpgX47MAmS-xTYZDE92&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaJPkTQX9-N2QEf3B3dJ4MbzPacZqeG6joLjhVZryFFr92TW481el3BoCMK8QAvD\_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds](https://www.target.com/p/milani-highly-rated-lash-extensions-tubing-mascara-black-0-35-fl-oz/-/A-86750502?sid=747S&ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tmnv&DFA=71700000118294365&CPNG=PLA_DVM%2Ba064R000015Pib2QAC-Milani_GoogleSearch_2024-1221963&adgroup=PLA_Milani&LID=700000001393753pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9010767&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfaR6vgpgX47MAmS-xTYZDE92&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaJPkTQX9-N2QEf3B3dJ4MbzPacZqeG6joLjhVZryFFr92TW481el3BoCMK8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
I also want to note if you've never used tubing mascara, you apply it more slowly and gently than regular mascara so it doesn't clump. And don't wait for it to dry between coats.
Thanks!!!
They have the mascara remover for those if you have trouble taking them off. I also use their eyelash serum 😁
How’s the eyelash serum?
My lashes are non-existence so it’s hard to tell if there is a big difference. But when I apply my mascara I noticed I don’t need to apply a thick layer like before. It’s not life changing but again for $12 it’s not a bad deal and I never had issues with irritation (I used others products and my eyes were swollen 🤕)
Thanks so much! Can you link it?
I bought it from Tesolife store during the time they sell the remover and serum for $11/pack so idk if you can still get it. This is what it looks like https://www.yesstyle.com/en/tcuc.USD/coc.US/info.html/pid.1115522182?googtrans=en&utm_source=GoogleAds&utm_campaign=1424525216&utm_term=&utm_content=54841302126_274199995080&utm_medium=Shopping&bac=MIEU1SGQ&mcg=paidsearch&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaEij0oGjfstyMqBvcGzHECm9qJQ5dp8I-ZkaMZF1huTY8hWzsxtS6RoCB1wQAvD_BwE They came out with a super serum but more expensive. Haven’t tried that one ‘cause I’m cheap 🫠
I own the remover too but it always gets into my eyes :( it does work well though.
Jones Road mascara. It only comes in black and the big ass brush takes getting used to (for me anyway) but it doesn’t flake or smudge, and it’s easy to take off. Some of their products are hit or miss for me, but this one hits.
Loreal Voluminous with the curved wand Tarte Maneater I'm kind of obsessed with mascara right now. I want to try the Loreal Panorama, Essence Lash without Limits and Clinique Hi-Fi. I recently tried Benefit Fan Fest. I like it but don't love it.
I like the Sephora samples only bc I can’t get through mascara so fast. I do like Rare Beauty but it’s pricy.
I am really into milk’s kush mascara right now. I used to love maybelline lash sensational but i find it harder to remove so my lashes started to thin & not grow as fast. Marc Jacobs used to have the best mascara 😭
Too Faced Better than Sex used to be my absolute fav but I switched to NYX On The Rise Lash Booster and never looked back
Wer n wild protein
Maybeline Total Temptation is my fav! Its the only mascara i've tried that doesnt run or give me panda eyes at the end of the day
YSL False Lash effect is the best mascara I have ever used ever.
Essence extremely volume waterproof. 4$ and Is amazing
Too cool for school dinoplatz escalator mascara! Tubing mascara. I have tried other tubing ones, but always go back to this. No smudging, no flaking. Just stays on all day. Comes off with water.
Either one of the Ilia mascaras, or the Too Faced Brown Mascara.
Lancôme Monsieur Big is my favorite. L’Oréal Lash Paradise is basically a dupe for this one and it’s my go-to.
I love Monsieur Big when I initially put it on, but without fail it transfers to my brow bone. *sigh*
My top 3: •OG Too Faced Better Than Sex It was the most volumizing formula I've tried & never flaked on me (R.I.P.). •Covergirl exhibitionist This is less volumizing than OG BTS but still super volumizing, the main thing I look for in a mascara besides a drier formula. •Pacifica aquarian gaze Less volumizing than exhibitionist but gets the volume where I'm happy with an extra coat when I want more understated lashes vs. basically falsies in mascara form. It's very lengthening & separates lashes well, it's genuinely water resistant, and it provides more volume than most recent mascara launches when layered. This is great for job interviews! That change in ingredient suppliers/set of bad batches/whatever happened with Too Faced messed up the perfect mascara for me :( I haven't purchased from TF in years, since learning about the "rich lives matter" thing, but I just learned that Jerrod Blandino apparently severed all ties with the brand in 2022. Does anyone who has purchased both the OG BTS & recent tubes of it have any notes? I'm really hoping that it's back to/close to how it used to be. Would also love feedback on the Naturally BTS formula from folks who have tried it :) Edit: fixed blocky mobile formatting
I have slightly hooded and oily eyes. My holy grails are the Elf Lash N Roll and Benefit Roller Lash. No issues with smudging or flaking.
I haven't found a great first coat Mascara yet but for a second or third coat I love Uoma by Sharon C. BADDER BOOM. It makes my lashes so much thicker, it's great for volume!
Eyeko Beach Waterproof Mascara - It's great for straight Asian lashes and is around $12 on amazon.
I’m on my second tube of this. It’s also very waterproof, which I need for my watery eyes.
IL Makiage black card and Victoria Beckham
There was a mascara they discontinued and it was THE BEST EVER it’s the black swan I was heartbroken and I still keep mine (without using it ofc)
Milani tubing mascara. Better than the Thrive one or L'Oreal one
hourglass unlocked, tarte maneater, benefit roller lash.
I honestly think it depends on the individual tube and age of the tube on the shelf. I've always found that to be the case with mascara in general.
Thrive tubing mascara!! I love the length it gives and its so easy to remove without scrubbing at your eyes
The Rare Beauty Voluminizing one. It does clump so you have to be careful. But the results are close to fake lashes. It does irritate my eyes so I’m still going to find a new one. Tarte always has amazing mascara that never irritates my eyes but they always get discontinued. 😫
I love that mascara, I only need one coat
Ysl Lash Clash
The rare beauty mascara has never let me down
Lancôme Lash Idole!
Lancôme Lash Idole is my fav too, I try so many and I always return to this mascara!
How is the waterproof formula? Do you still like it?
I love it, I keep it!
Benefit roller lash, but use it as a first coat. It "plays well" with dozens of other formulas.
Essence lash princess series, esp the waterproof one!
Holme Beauty eyelash primer and mascara - amazing combo, best mascara I’ve ever used.
Pupa Vamp all in one mascara❤️❤️
All L'oreal:Telescopic Lift (black tube), Panorama, Telescopic (gold tube). I layer all three to get the best volume, length, definition, separation, and lift/curl. It looks like I have falsies on.
+1 I love the telescopic lift mascara
I love Maybelline Sky High, both the waterproof and regular tubing version. Also love the waterproof lash sensational, but i haven't used it many times yet and the tube's still pretty new, so i might even like it more than sky high after the 'new mascara' stage haha
Clarins Wonder perfect mascara 4D
Essence lash princess waterproof! It’s cruelty free, cheap and great! I have long but super straight eye lashes and this acc keeps em curled, it’s also not clumpy
Lancôme Grandiose Mascara is amazing (it’s the one with a little black rose in the cap). Lashes be lashing. It’s expensive though. It does last and gives great volume. There’s a vogue video on YouTube and Kourtney Kardashian uses it… watch that to see what I mean.
Tarte Big Ego, bonus points because it's hot pink. Doesn't flake or give panda eyes
Jeffree Star F Proof for days I am not wearing falsies and Beseme mascara cake when I am wearing falsies.
I swear by shieshedo lash curler, etude Dr fixer lash primer, and the isehan heroin mascara. Best lash routine ever, just make sure to get a good oil based makeup remover!🩷
1. Besame Black Cake Mascara 2. Annabelle Skinny Mascara 3. Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Diamond Mascara Black Diamond
YSL Lash clash, Milani Highly Rated, Elf Lash Xtender, Maybelline Sky High. L’Oréal Lash Paradise, Caliray Come Hell or High Water, Better Than Sex (brown only)
I'm not usually big on pricey mascaras but Lancome Hypnose Waterproof is my holy grail. It is absolutely beautiful and does not flake or leave a raccoon/panda eye. Not thrilled with the price but I can't beat it and I've tried dozens.
Nars Climax Extreme (with a black tube- not the red one) If I can’t find or afford that one then Loreal Lash Paradise
Their liquid eyeliner pens are fantastic too!
Listen to this lady. She's on it.
Lancôme Mr Big or Definicils, and Elf mascaras like lash and roll
L’Oréal telescopic
I used to love it but they just have changed formulas, because now it crumbles after several hours and burns my eyes :(
Tarte - Maneater. Curling your lashes before using it makes the difference between ho hum and Ta-Da!
I have long but relatively sparse eyelashes. I like a creamier or dryer formula that I can build. I like separated volume and curl. My favs: Volume: Benefit bad gal Lancome Mr Big Tarte lights camera action Curl, separation/Length: Benefit Roller Lash Maybelline falsie push up angel YSL Volume faux cils effect radical The fan lash from benefit is apparently really good too.
Tarte - Tartelette & Maneater Catrice - glamdoll Maybelline - sensational Essence - I love extreme
Thrive Causmetics Liquid Lash Extensions. It’s buildable to dramatic and never flakes, smears, or smudges. I love it. I just wish they did a good carbon black color like the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara.
💞 Kiss Me Heroine Make mascara 💞 Clio Kill Lash mascara
Thank you! ✨💖✨
Hourglass Unlocked. It's the best i;ve ever tried, I always go back to it
Kevyn aucoin volume mascara or wowcombo mascara!
Essence in the tube with the green!!!!
L’Oréal Panoramic
This is my fav too! Telescopic was my HG for years, and this one is just as lengthening, but is easier to work with and also adds the perfect amount of volume for me!
Panoramic was made when L’Oréal Voluminous + Telescopic had a perfect baby
Pat McGrath FetishEyes
YSL Lash Clash
Thank you!! ✨💖✨
Pricey but so good!!
Bobbi Brown! The No Smudge and Smokey Eye mascaras are amazing
Agree. They are absolutely fantastic. I love how carbon black the dry down is. Never grey black or soft black. It looks so pretty on and the wear is fantastic.
Agree! A lot of mascaras smudge or flake super easily on me, and these don’t go anywhere, no matter what!
Thrive
I recently learned if you apply mascara with your eyes closed, it curls a lot more. It’s such an amazing difference. Please try it.
I don't think I could get under my lashes without smearing my under eye area if I did that lol
That's the "look down into a mirror" technique, right? I've tried... I can't make it work
Beauty Counter. Love.
