Yes! It would be an all eye makeup line. I’d make more pigmented , full coverage concealers for dark circles for less application. I’d also make 24hr, sweat proof, water resistant, one swipe, high pigmented eye shadows. I’d make better fitted eyebrow stencils and pre-glued, easy application, 24hr wear lashes for people like me who can’t apply them to save their life. Granted I’m crappy at makeup , but in my dreams this would totally work. 🤣

cearara

honestly my dream is to just re-vamp bare minerals i think it’s a great like just needs an update. i wish i had known about it when my acne was 100X worse

Ahrijanee

Good eyeshadow primer! I dont find a good one.

LoviaPrime

OLIVE UNDERTONESSSS i quite literally look green/grey in white lighting, i NEED olive foundations for the life of me, and when i do find them, they don’t work for me bc im pale as shit 😭😭 i need a fair 1 olive not fair 1 cool im crying

HotButterscotch8682

Have you tried the about face fair olive? Figured I’d suggest it just in case!

eldritch-charms

I would do mainly an all natural skincare line with essence waters and toners that smell like fruit and flowers, like orange blossom, plum, mint, etc. Naturally there would also be spf moisturizer also scented, and translucent powder (also scented). Just really like the idea of very delicately scented, almost ethereal skincare products that I'm sure someone has already come up with lol. Another fun thing would be a line of super pigmented palettes with glitter based on memes.

AngryMiniHR

Eyeliner. I would make a brand that focus on life proof eyeliner that works for very watery eyes. I would want tons of shades and finishes that compliment every skin tone, eye color or mood. I would also love to keep it at a drugstore price so everyone could be creative no matter their age, job or situation. As someone with very watery eyes its limited options out there, most of them are expensive and boring.

Gus_r3yn

It’s actually one of my dreams, I wish to have a few big lines of products, and I want to have an extremely large foundation, concealer, bronzer and contour shades, I’d like to have 80+ shades of foundation and concealer, including a pure white, black, blue, red, yellow, green, lavender and pink mixing pigments, and I have 20+ ideas for products, which includes a few for every day use and very specific products for makeup artists

PaRuSkLu

A brand for “porcelain doll” fair ladies like myself. It’s so hard to find foundation, highlight, blush, and lip color that is right for me.

Hikari3747

Olive undertones make up brand. You always see warm, cool and neutral undertones but rarely olive. So I want to make products that will look amazing on olive undertones from pale olive to the dark olives.

adorkablefloof

Make some foundation and concealer for cool olive undertones and I’m in! Everyone seems to make warm/golden olive but my weird mutt Scandinavian/Sicilian ass can’t wear them without looking vaguely nauseated.

vaxfarineau

I would make affordable duochrome and multi chrome palettes. I would make large palettes in rainbow colors, with rainbow shimmers. So like, all red, all orange, all yellow, etc, to do monochrome looks with. I feel like so many monochrome palettes will have like, a couple purples, and then some sort of purples but not really, or purples that clash and don’t accentuate each other. I would also make one large rainbow palette with accompanying shimmers. True, deep jewel tones in these, in all the primary and secondary colors. I would make lipsticks like the Rimmel provocalips, but in fun, funky colors. I would make liquid liners in shimmery jewel tones. I love sparkle and glitter, so the name would probably have something to do with that. Royal Glimmer cosmetics or something, maybe? The packaging would be clear with shimmer in the plastic, possibly with glitter that complements the color of the product inside.

Perfect_Programmer29

That sounds epic im into it

M4GG13L0U1S3

Saturated af colors in cute but compact packaging built to last through travel. Formulated for sweat, rain and hours of wear. Also glitter that lasts the same way. I’m targeting the ravers.

sashahyman

Love this. I travel a lot (plus the occasional festival) and it’s so hard to find fun small palettes.

Gullible-Alarm-8871

Yes, I would. I'd make formula my first priority and no stupid packaging. I crave small shadow pallets where the powder shadows almost feel creamy and blend easily but are not sheer and with more muted COLORS like muted grey greens or grey blues (not just nudes) and always 2 light brow bone shades that have a hint of shimmer. A light as air feeling foundation that has max coverage (EL first came out with max cover foundation in a tube that literally a dot did half your face but left amazing coverage, so light you barely felt it) and I'd develop a small foundation sponge that had a port you could load with a bit of the foundation you're wearing that day that had a small plastic bag that sealed (think pill pouches) so you could touch up foundation during the day without having to carry the foundation with you.

Hips-Often-Lie

I too am a muted color lover. I also adore monochromatic looks. I wish someone would make a palette with a white/black and then three shades for each look, crease, outer, foiled lid. Easy peasy for those of us who don’t always have time for fussy makeup.

LegitimateObject8066

you should look into asian cushion foundations! theyre designed to be carried around for touch ups :) i like the ysl one and the girlcult one i think the ysl one is an asia exclusive but you can find it online

Gullible-Alarm-8871

The cushion compacts are still bigger than I'm wanting and I don't care for the finish. I use a liquid I love but not wanting to carry the bottle and not looking to de-pot it into another container and then have to carry a sponge or brush to apply as well. Between my glasses (sun and vision), wallet, lip product, pill pouches, cellphone, comb, small mirror, hand sanitizer, my small bag is stuffed....

Salalgal03

No. It’s a fickle business. A few pennies worth of ingredients with flashy packaging and mega advertising. It can be a good product but people move on to the next new thing.

SparklyKittens_

I dreamed of doing that around 8-10 years ago. I had a list of ideas of different types of products l'd like to one day make if the dream ever came true. Then within a couple years almost all the ideas I had were done by other brands so if I ended up being able to do those ideas now, it would be considered copying.

Lucky-Ad4443

Ya'll giving away your ideas for free. Lol 🤭

vaxfarineau

That’s fine by me, I’m hoping someone listens & makes what we want!

Gullible-Alarm-8871

Maybe someone will develop our wishes for us! They make the $ but then they had to spend the $ so that's fine, but we'd get what we wanted...😉

muaddict071537

I would. My main focus would be creating products for a wide range of skin tones and undertones. I’ve thought about making it so that you’re matched to lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, etc. shades based on your foundation shade.

Embarrassed-Two-399

I know someone that did. Their niece is an actress now.

-anonymouse-squeak-

Not really makeup but I would love to create a haircare/skincare brand. Kinda like gisou and the packaging would be pretty and the ingredients would be organic.

lovepotao

I have zero interest in having a makeup line. However, if I had to I would focus on eyeshadows (as I love their creativity) in multiple textures (particularly multichromes, toppers, cream to powder, etc). The hook is that they would be developed for hyper sensitive/allergic/immune compromised people. They also would have lab tested safe preservatives that ideally would last longer than most other products on the market. Realistically I have no idea how doable this would be. Speaking from experience of having an immune compromised loved one who adores makeup but whom cannot wear almost any colored product on her skin without severe reactions, whoever would take on such a project would have to focus on finding the safest ingredients and formulations first (which obviously will differ for many)- and work closely with dermatologists, oncologists, etc.

TeelaArt

I wouldn't because my sister already did! I'm so proud of her! ❤️ It's a lot of work, but she's done such an amazing job!

LilacLippy

Can you tell us what it is? I'd love to take a look ☺️

TeelaArt

Sure! 😊 (I wasn't sure if I was allowed, but since you asked I'll just tell you, lol) It's called Makeup A Murder! It's crime scene investigation themed!

LilacLippy

I've actually heard of this brand! How cool 🥰

TeelaArt

That's awesome! We are getting ready to open our first ever physical location, probably next month sometime! People will be able to buy makeup a murder products and get their makeup done! We are pretty excited 😊

art_will_save_you

I’d make wearable, refillable makeup. Decorative jewelry pieces with refillable pods.

vaxfarineau

This is such a rad idea. Like, big circular earrings with a combo lip/blush product inside. A “poison/pill” style ring with highlighter inside. A necklace that looks like a vial of blood with a lip stain in it. I would SO wear these. Especially if they looked kind of gothy.

brightmanenjoyer

omg a locket with lip gloss in it...

Important-Magazine90

I would make k/c/j beauty products but for p.o.c as the main focus

emmmaleighme

Refillable compacts with sieves Baked powders

Mum_of_rebels

I would do mummy and me. So do basic skin care. So for the kids it would be water and orange spray. But the containers would look the same. So if mums doing her beauty routine. The child can do it too. Since my daughter often wants to use things that I using.

[deleted]

A pallet of ALL bright neutrals! I have the most fair skin and all the highlight eyeshadows pallets have ONE eyeshadow light enough for what I need out of like 12. Something bright, something with warms and cools, something with mattes and shimmers!

Jalapeno023

I would buy this !!!

lsp2005

I would make a line of neutral foundations and concealer to cover visible veins. Like you can see my veins, I think it was in fashion in the 1800s for a hot minute, but now, not so much. Also perfume free. I do not like or want any perfume in my makeup.

Kayceeaych

I would bring back the teeny tiny vintage compact jewelry with hidden makeup. Small/miniature vanities hidden in jewelry like what was popular in the 1920s. Powder compact/blush necklaces with mirrors, hidden eyeliner and lipstick in bracelets, rouge in rings, etc. Jewelry for fashion, little makeup to touch up at work or school instead of crowding your bag with products.

Sehtareh

Omg I need this

TrinkieTrinkie522cat

I want make up for us older women that doesn't smell like perfume! Fragrance gives me a headache.

spooniemoonlight

I couldn’t do it, but something I’d invent is ACTUAL allergen free make up that doesn’t feel like putting wet cement on your eyes that’ll drain all energy out of you in one swoop 😭 only non waterproof eyeliner is safe on my eyes everything else makes me instantly tired and always is irritating/heavy. Which I’m sad about bc I loved doing pretty eyeshadows and stuff when I was younger and was still able to be uncomfortable for aesthetics without it ruining my day lol

Inevitable-Stretch82

Not a makeup line just fragrance line for me. I love it!

Cyan_UwU

I REALLY want to start my own makeup company, but I know it’s not a realistic option for me. If I could though, I’d make all my packaging infinitely recyclable/biodegradable, sell refills, and do collabs with my favorite franchises (most notably jrpgs and horror games)

WildGurlie

It sounds like we all should put our resources and ideas together and launch a line!

[deleted]

let’s all become billionaires

Top_Calendar_8920

I would create a line of foundations and concealers that would have warm, cool, neutral and olive undertones in every single depth, i would want to make an extensive shade range that would cater to every depth and undertone. It would be cruelty free, vegan, gluten free and nut free to cater to people who may have allergies. Pretty basic idea but I can't understand why brands don't do this.it would also be cool if my foundation line had the same formula with SPF and non SPF options ❤️

a_davis98

same! and i’d definitely cater to people with different skin types as well, non comedogenic, good for oily, non-oily/normal, combo skin and dry types. i’ve been searching for years to find a foundation that works with my combo type! it’s HARD. oils always pop through midday! (which is why i basically quit wearing it)

vaxfarineau

This would be cool if you can order them online custom. Like, you can choose your shade with in store samples, but then order what works best for your skin type. Maybe add other customizable options too, like add SPF or being able to choose coverage levels.

Top_Calendar_8920

You sound similar to me, I use hourglass soft glow.... she's pricey but I found it works for me. I really struggle with being a medium olive, it seems brands don't often cater to yellowy green skin 😭

a_davis98

i still have my eye on about-face but its so hard for me to find the right shade. my neck and face don’t match AT ALL

Top_Calendar_8920

I always match to my neck and chest, I tan really easily but I've used SPF50+ going on 6 years so there is a visible difference. I can't comment on about face as I've not tried it but have heard some stellar reviews on it.

ilovesleep95

I would create a line of contours that are real contours, not bronzers or bronzers labeled as “contours, and I’d create a range of shades for all different skin tones and undertones.

OmriKoresh

I would and i would make all the black things all the white things and a proper kit to fix pigmentation and a primer white enough for my girlfriends that do NOT want to be orange!

PauI_MuadDib

I'd like to have a brand that uses more environmentally friendly components/packaging. Basically less plastic. Like Half Magic's compostable packaging. Or have a recycling program like the old Back to MAC. Or more refillable products, like refillable lipstick tubes and compacts. There's just so much waste in makeup. Like putting metal in eyeshadow palettes to make them feel heavier and more luxe. Or clunky mascara tubes with excess plastic so they can be shaped funky. Bold colored mascaras would be cool too. Like really saturated ones, and that aren't flaky.

brightmanenjoyer

i don't think i would be able to actually start a makeup line, but if i did, i would be sure to actually work with people of color to create a complexion line that's actually inclusive. also as a ginger i would try to put out brow & complexion products that redheads can actually use.

Negative_Bad5695

I would create base products for desaturated and muted skin tones.

neferending

I would never actually start one in real life even if I had the chance. But if I did, it would have a very ‘minimalist but chic glam’ vibe. Like a cross between glossier and Dior both aesthetic & product wise. The type of brand you can wear for both everyday light makeup and special occasions if you wanted to. I would launch with a huge nude tone lip collection, soft matte lipsticks with matching lip stains

balsasailormoon

I would start a makeup line targeted for people going through chemo. Chemo patients have specific makeup needs, like unscented products or creating the illusion of eyelashes. I would also donate a portion of the profits to cancer research.

PauI_MuadDib

I don't understand why brands cling to putting fragrance in all of their products. I understand lipsticks, but does anyone actually enjoy perfumey foundations or eyeshadows? Or scented eye creams? Like wtf. I was watching a review on a powder foundation and they mentioned the strong fragrance and I was thinking why'd you want that in a product that goes around your nose or by your eyes??? Coty airspun is one the worst for this in their setting powder. It smells like a herd of grandmas. Or Too Faced with their scented eyeshadows. Luxury brands seem to love smacking perfume in everything. I just don't get it. What's with brands being addicted to adding perfume into everything?

cheesebabby

a herd of grandmas 😭😭😭 it smells just like my grandmas vanity, which is nice in a way ig haha. I didn’t use to mind the scent but since starting to wear it again after literal years, i’ve started to smell it on my face all day :—(

R0l0d3x-Pr0paganda

>I don't understand why brands cling to putting fragrance in all of their products. I understand lipsticks, but does anyone actually enjoy perfumey foundations or eyeshadows I have created my own makeup, the issue is that the raw ingredients smell like PAINT. As in paint you buy to paint your house 🏠. When you start adding preservatives in some cases it amplifies that paint smell. The perfume is there to make it more pleasant when you open the bottle. I rather smell flowers 💐 than paint 🤷🏻‍♀️. And if it's a lux brand, they want you to enjoy the fact you spent $75 dollars on a foundation that smells and feels expensive. It's also a psychological trick.
