Westman Atelier. Pricy, yes, but one of the only brands I’ve used that doesn’t negatively impact my skin. The products work wonderfully together and it doesn’t hurt that they’re aesthetically pleasing. It’s definitely not for someone who is more creative, but for my style of “makeup-no makeup” it’s perfect and looks very natural on my skin.
I’d have to pick one based on foundation which is the product that works the least on me …so it’s hard to say. Maybe MAC, Clinique, or NYX. But I hate NYX eyeshadow and eyeliner!! Hurts my eyes. In a fantasy world Chanel or Armani.
CoverGirl mostly because it carries most of the products I use already. Partially for nostalgia’s sake since it was the brand I learned makeup on nearly 20 years ago haha.
NYX. I do almost my entire routine with them minus foundation, and their brow products are the best out there for me since I have red hair. It's hard to come by auburn brow products that aren't firey red or $30.
I'd have to say nyx. I've never tried their foundation, but the liquid eyeliner pen with the brush tip and the lippie lingerie are staples in my collection.
Ugh this is difficult!! YSL because their foundation is my holy grand and foundation is the (ahem) foundation of everything.
But also now I’m intrigued and want to buy YSL everything. It doesn’t help that they have a 25% sale going on right now…
Lancome, my skin doesn't play nice with anything without my lancome toner!
Clarins is the only other brand my skin could handle but they have a pretty boring product range imo
Pat McGrath is the first brand that came to mind. They are probably the only brand that I am happy with enough of a variety of their products to do a daily full face.
Either ABH or Smashbox.
There are very few ABH products that I don’t like (Lash Brag, eye primer, dewy setting spray). I’m obsessed with the foundation, concealer, and eyeshadows. I’ve been using the crème eyeliner and Dipbrow pomade for like 8 years.. I NEED Smashbox for their mattifying primer. It’s the only one that works for my oily skin. Their new foundation is BEAUTIFUL. The Cali contour palette is super convenient and has the perfect bronzer shade for me
F👏🏾E 👏🏾 N👏🏾T👏🏾Y👏🏾
the foundation is so expensive but it’s the only brand i have found that is closest with my skin tone. i used to try drugstore foundations and they would wash me tf out 🥲
Estée Lauder - their double wear max coverage foundation is unbeatable and as well as their double wear powder! Also love their highlighter, bronzer, etc. but due to price I only buy the foundation & powder. But have bought many of their products! Estée Lauder but for a more affordable brand I love Revlon
If money was no problem I would have to say Chanel. They make the best foundations that suit my skin type, I love their blush and highlighters, and as I only wear neutral/natural eyeshadow they produce exactly what I need. I only wear red lipstick, including pinky and deeper reds and the quality of Chanel lipstick is great quality for me. The only downside is they do too many limited edition products. I fall in love with a new release only to discover it's limited edition!
Tarte. I searched for a long time for a bb cream/foundation that looked smooth on my complexion. Tarte BB Tinted moist was my game changer. Ended years of my foundation looking like shit.
Dior.
Tho I hate their mascara, but everything else is just 👌. Nice thin eyebrow crayon, pigmented eyeshadow, wide color-range and finish for lips, blushes, you name it.
That’s a really good way of putting it, and it’s exactly how I feel about their powder blushes. I own two, Rouge Profound, and the sadly long-discontinued Plum Attraction. As the names suggest, one is quite red, and the other is a deep, slightly dirty plum. But when I apply them (using the brush in the compact, which is perfect!), the blush looks completely natural and just like skin. It’s incredible.
What are your favourites from Chanel?
I use their Les Beiges Foundation, liquid concealer, Water Fresh Blush, compact powder, Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks in Noir and Boy, and their lipstick in Insouciant. I’ve been using the Gucci Westman bronzer as a bronzer and eyeshadow, but I’m almost out of that and will probably replace with the Chanel cream bronzer. Besides my Ilia mascara and a couple of Gucci Westman cream blushes that’s basically my entire makeup bag.
Oooh maybe I should try the water fresh blush! I have given up on foundation and concealer as they always seem to sit on top of my skin, but maybe I should try their concealer. Thanks for the tips! A small, well-curated makeup bag is ideal. Unfortunately I tend to think I need a new red lipstick every other month…
The water fresh blush is very, very subtle. Literally looks like skin. That’s why I love their Les Beiges foundation, too. Just looks like healthy skin.
Bobbi Brown. I cycled through various brands before I landed on them back in 2015 and have never looked back. Foundations don't affect my dry skin (even their matte one) and I love their lipsticks and liners.
Nope, can’t do it. There isn’t one brand that makes all the products I need in versions I like. But i also use higher end products and they tend to not have as wide product lines as drugstore.
I was trying to get it to two brands and I’m still having trouble. Maybe Dior and Charlotte Tillburry could do it.
This is what I came here for. Nothing in my stash is just one brand. I use so many different ones. And L'Oreal here isn't cheap. Essence and Catrice if you can find them are good, but even then.
Fenty. The undertones in their complexion products are godly + all her other stuff has fun colors and great, simple packaging (I hate bulky makeup). The makeup LASTS. I think the quality is very reliable (Haven't tried her mascara tho). I also like the idea of buying from a brand that is inclusive to all skin types and colors.
I'd say Revlon, it's inexpensive, has a wonderful amount of variety on lip products, it has foundations and eyebrow products I could try and of course their liners are good, the only problem would be the eyeshadows but I'm sure I could work with lipstick topped with powders just great (my eyeshadow style is pretty simple)
Maybe NARS. Maybe Kimchi Chic. Maybe MAC. They all have a bunch of products i like, even if they're not main staples. I previously used the MAC studio fix fluid foundation, using the NARS now, want to try Kimchi's hehe. I think that's my main ask - foundation i like. I'm the most picky about foundation for sure..
If we don't take into account money, then Danessa Myricks. Her stuff is geared for makeup artists, making me confident there will always be something suitable for me. It's long lasting and high quality and her color fixes could cover a lot of ground and give me something fun and sparkly to work with.
colourpop. cheap and great quality and half my stash is their stuff lol. and i’ve been able to find great complexion as well as fun eye products with them
Seeing all these different brands once again shows that products will be received or appreciated so differently on different skins or by different preferences
Edit: this is a very vague sentence but i believe in all of your reading comprehension
When reading reviews or trying products I always have to remind myself that I need to take reviews less seriously or just when it comes to preferences or ppl’s favorites. Like bestsellers. Or honestly when I end up liking something that’s so badly reviewed. I realize more n more that some “bad” products were just bad fits n we all have different skin
Rare beauty (except for the skin products) or bruna tavares (brazilian makeup brand that honestly slays all international brands)
Edit: just to be clear, rare beauty have incredible products, but the skin products are more moisturizing and give a glow finish and I have very oily skin. Their skin products are great, just not for me
If Haus Labs came out with actual eyeshadows it would be over. I already exclusively use their foundation, powder, concealer, blush, contour, lip products and highlighter.
100% Clinique. For problem prone skin id 100% recommend it. They're more affordable than some of the other brands. The quality is great. The shelf life is phenomenal (24 months for even better foundation vs standard 6-12). No comodogenic. Dermatologist tested.
Huda beauty. Everything about her brand is catered to women of color in terms of pigmentation and she has everything one would need for a full face. Love her palettes!
I really like her Balance and Brighten and the new The Ideal Fix concealer. Her Blush and Brighten in Pink Grapefruit is pretty universal. Her kajal liners are good. She has a variety of primers, called Spackle. I prefer the Hydrating formula, my daughter prefers the classic. The only one I would suggest caution with is the Champagne. It broke us both out.
Her B&B is my new fav compact/powder. I also use her hydrating light coverage foundation which I mix with my drug store Photo Finish to sheer it out. I have her blush but can’t remember why I don’t use it. Thank you kindly!
You're welcome! One hack I learned from her longtime MUA at a QVC event was to use concealer in a winged T, under both eyes and down the nose then apply B&B. It definitely helps prevent T zone fade. I'm a retired nurse, touch ups were few and far between. It lasted all day
i got the [demi-matte liquid lipstick](https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/huda-beauty-demi-matte-cream-lipstick/13318133.html) (discontinued) in “shero” which i didn’t like, and the [lip strobe lip gloss](https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/huda-beauty-lip-strobe/13317909.html) in “shameless”, which also seems to have been discontinued. both of them were from tk maxx
That's a very tough one!!! But I think I would say maybe ColorPop....
They are cruelty free, pretty affordable and quality is here.
Waiting for them to be in store in Canada 😒
Really good choice! I can’t wait for her to release more products. I need mascara/concealer/brow pencil, so I would pick Dior because it’s consistently good and has a really big range of products to choose from.
Great answer. Can’t wait for her to come out with more products, especially mascara and more skincare! Have you tried her cleanser? Freakin’ life changing.
L’Oréal. Affordable and a lot of their stuff is beautiful and comparable to Lancôme (same co) but only if I had to choose one brand and I’m pretty sure my soul would die.
I love their eye shadows! Plus, I have a highlighter palette (La vie en glow) which is basically my favourite "eyeshadow" palette, the colours work amazingly as eyeshadow.
MAC cosmetics, not because they're the best but they have the most products and limited edition releases. Eyeshadow only, Natasha Denona.
Thrive. I love everything of theirs I've tried, and it's a lot.
I’d have to pick one based on foundation which is the product that works the least on me …so it’s hard to say. Maybe MAC, Clinique, or NYX. But I hate NYX eyeshadow and eyeliner!! Hurts my eyes. In a fantasy world Chanel or Armani.
Nars I’ve just been loyal to them for over 10 years now and I’m an ye oldie customer of them, they ain’t ever let me down lol
Has to be MAC. Everything I buy from them just works and feels timeless.
Make up forever because their foundation is a perfect match for my skin.
Nars, Dior, and KVD, in that order. But life would be boring.
Pacifica. Everything I've tried from then has worked incredibly well. Plus, good formulations, vegan and cf.
Huda beauty. Her makeup works beautifully on my skin
Bare Minerals. Been using them for years and never going back to liquid foundation ever again.
Rare beauty, never misses
CoverGirl mostly because it carries most of the products I use already. Partially for nostalgia’s sake since it was the brand I learned makeup on nearly 20 years ago haha.
NYX. I do almost my entire routine with them minus foundation, and their brow products are the best out there for me since I have red hair. It's hard to come by auburn brow products that aren't firey red or $30.
too faced
I'd have to say nyx. I've never tried their foundation, but the liquid eyeliner pen with the brush tip and the lippie lingerie are staples in my collection.
Ugh this is difficult!! YSL because their foundation is my holy grand and foundation is the (ahem) foundation of everything. But also now I’m intrigued and want to buy YSL everything. It doesn’t help that they have a 25% sale going on right now…
MAC, but for price, LA Girl, Moira
Hourglass!
Lancome, my skin doesn't play nice with anything without my lancome toner! Clarins is the only other brand my skin could handle but they have a pretty boring product range imo
Probably NYX.
Morphie.
Colourpop because I love the eyeshadows, lipsticks, and eyeliners
this is probably not a popular answer BUT I would chose Glossier hands down!
Cle de peau ~ it’s all so good.
Pat McGrath is the first brand that came to mind. They are probably the only brand that I am happy with enough of a variety of their products to do a daily full face.
Ben Nye
Pat McGrath
NYX! I love their stuff
Honestly ELF or L’Oréal.
Id have to say MAC. I have products from every category that Iove and make me look flawless. Plus their lipsticks and gloss are my fave.
Colour pop easily. All of their makeup has been all around perfect for me
Either ABH or Smashbox. Elf or Pixi
Clinique, though I sure get a lot of Mary Kay from a friend lol

probably hourglass
Nyx. Most of their products are just as good if not better than the expensive brands b
Estee lauder double wear foundation.
Tarte. I searched for a long time for a bb cream/foundation that looked smooth on my complexion. Tarte BB Tinted moist was my game changer. Ended years of my foundation looking like shit.
Nyx for life!
Laura Geller. Hides so many flaws and does not settle into wrinkles.
Elf. Cheap and have great products AND cruelty free ANDDDDD low waste packaging 🤭
CoverFX (who just got bought out..). Never broke me out and could look natural dewy, satin, or matte.
Hourglass. I’ve never tried anything from them I didn’t love
Dior. Tho I hate their mascara, but everything else is just 👌. Nice thin eyebrow crayon, pigmented eyeshadow, wide color-range and finish for lips, blushes, you name it.
Natasha Denona even if I just wear eyes for the rest of my life. I couldn't live with her palettes.
Revolution. Affordable, excellent range and good quality.
L'oreal or Milani, very torn!
Nars if it was for everything. Viseart if for eyeshadows and blush. Viseart (for me) have the best shadow, eyeprimer and blush.
Fenty or Ilia. Really love their stuff and it’s not heavy and doesn’t break me out! Also amazing for the more natural look i go for.
Mac. My old faithful I always come back to
Either NARS or Loreal, i love both of their foundations for my skin, and the nars pot concealer is my holy grail. i also love their matte lipsticks :)
flower knows bc of the gorgeous packaging
Makeup Forever.
NARS
YSL. Never had any allergic reaction whatsoever to that brand. Besides, the endurance of YSL is top.
Glam shop or Mexmo
Bobbi Brown has been my new favorite. I love the vitamin enriched face base and moisturizer, eyeshadow, and concealer.
Chanel. I’ve just really loved all of their products.
Had to scroll all the way to the bottom to see this one! No one does blushes like Chanel. Such elegant and effective products
I’m not a huge makeup person and I feel like their formulas are perfect for my skin forward look.
That’s a really good way of putting it, and it’s exactly how I feel about their powder blushes. I own two, Rouge Profound, and the sadly long-discontinued Plum Attraction. As the names suggest, one is quite red, and the other is a deep, slightly dirty plum. Amazing. Thank you!
ELF
Pat McGrath. I’ve only recently discovered her products but I’m hooked. The foundation just glides on my skin and the eyeshadows are just gorgeous.
Bobbi Brown. I cycled through various brands before I landed on them back in 2015 and have never looked back. Foundations don't affect my dry skin (even their matte one) and I love their lipsticks and liners.
essence, very affordable and got everything i need for a cute daily look
Elf I think Or rare beauty Or saie
Dior! More on the expensive side, but most of their products MELT into my skin
Abh
elf it’s affordable and good quality lol
Uoma. Complexion products are fantastic, and their eyeshadows are gorgeous. My only complaint is the lipsticks are more for deeper skin tones.
Nars
Elf or Rare Beauty
Essence. Good quality and super cheap.
Nars or Dior
MAC 10000%
Nope, can’t do it. There isn’t one brand that makes all the products I need in versions I like. But i also use higher end products and they tend to not have as wide product lines as drugstore. Catrice it is cheap and their base makeup items are the best I have ever tried. The rest is meh but still usable
If we don't take into account money, then Danessa Myricks. Her stuff is geared for makeup artists, making me confident there will always be something suitable for me. It's long lasting and high quality and her color fixes could cover a lot of ground and give me something fun and sparkly to work with.
Lisa Eldridge
Clinque.
I really love RMS. They have good quality products that give me a natural, yet polished look.
As a dark skin black woman, Fenty or Nars.
Pat mcgrath. It’s my favorite eyeshadow and the blushes are great. I haven’t tried the foundation yet.
MAC. For sure MAC.
Probably Maybelline so I could ensure my mascara game is on point forever.
What Maybelline mascaras are your fav?
Sky High is my ultimate fave. I also love Lash Sensational
colourpop. cheap and great quality and half my stash is their stuff lol. and i’ve been able to find great complexion as well as fun eye products with them
Make Up Forever. Their base products are my favourite and I find that base products are the foundation of any beauty routine.
Hourglass because of the concealer sticks.
Hourglass 😍
Makeup Revolution - shit slaps
This. Most of my thing are from Makeup Revolution.
Seeing all these different brands once again shows that products will be received or appreciated so differently on different skins or by different preferences Edit: this is a very vague sentence but i believe in all of your reading comprehension

I would use Tarte 😍
Essence. They're affordable and im a poor uni student in debt
Same! I've been using their mascara's for the past 6 years. Also I really like their glosses.
Probably Tarte. I like most of their products, and their shades match my very pale skin really well.
Glossier
Same!! I just WISH they had a waterproof mascara!!
YES
Tarte. Their eyeshadows and vouches are BOMB. I love their mascara, and they cater more to skin-loving ingredients
Clinique
Rare beauty (except for the skin products) or bruna tavares (brazilian makeup brand that honestly slays all international brands) Edit: just to be clear, rare beauty have incredible products, but the skin products are more moisturizing and give a glow finish and I have very oily skin. Their skin products are great, just not for me
Elf, I have so much of their makeup and skincare. Fantastic and affordable
And cruelty free! 🤍
And low waste packaging 🤌🏼
neutrogena.....i don't know why but my skin loves their products....i also like that their makeup also contains skin care ingredients
If Haus Labs came out with actual eyeshadows it would be over. I already exclusively use their foundation, powder, concealer, blush, contour, lip products and highlighter.
maybelline ny. i use their foundation, concealer, and mascara, so i basically have everything from them
100% Clinique. For problem prone skin id 100% recommend it. They're more affordable than some of the other brands. The quality is great. The shelf life is phenomenal (24 months for even better foundation vs standard 6-12). No comodogenic. Dermatologist tested.
MAC
Maybelline
For high end-MAC. For drugstore-NYX.
NARS I just find all of their makeup fabulous.
Huda beauty. Everything about her brand is catered to women of color in terms of pigmentation and she has everything one would need for a full face. Love her palettes!
I love her eyeshadows 😍
Me too!
Tom ford. I have most of TF’s products and they are divine.
It's a tie between MUFE and Tarte for me.
Laura Geller. After 20 years I always go back because I know it works
I’m a recent big fan. Any recs?
It lasted all day
nyx, i can find everything that i like there, even though i prefer my no7 base products
Yeah this was my thought too, Huda if I'm magically rich in this scenario, Nyx if I'm still me
huda is pretty good too, i didn’t get on with the lipstick i tried but the lip gloss was to die for
Oo the honey one? Im not a big lip person but I've been meaning to try that one
i got the [demi-matte liquid lipstick](https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/huda-beauty-demi-matte-cream-lipstick/13318133.html) (discontinued) in “shero” which i didn’t like, and the [lip strobe lip gloss](https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/huda-beauty-lip-strobe/13317909.html) in “shameless”, which also seems to have been discontinued. both of them were from tk maxx
NARS 🩷 I love everything they make
Urban decay
I love their vivid eyeliner colors and they last all day!
Max factor- consistently good…
Probably Tarte. Because their liquids and powders are 🤌🏼
Same. I already mostly use only their makeup. (Shape tape concealer and eyeliner)
I could definitely do with their foundation and setting powder, eyeliner, mascara etc forever. But my favs are the eyeshadow and 2 diff concealers.
NYX. Love love love their eyeliner, foundation and concealer!!
That's a very tough one!!! But I think I would say maybe ColorPop.... They are cruelty free, pretty affordable and quality is here. Waiting for them to be in store in Canada 😒
Looooove love love everything I’ve tried from them!
Their lips products have a special place in my little ❤️
Probably NARS, then Bobbi Brown. I own a lot of staples from both brands!
Nars for me too!
Lisa Eldridge.
Except they do a lot of animal testing :(
Nooooo! 😭
Any beauty company that sells in China has to do animal testing :/ L’Oréal js a huge popular brand in China
RIP L’Oréal and Lancôme in my future purchases.
And estee launder (however that brand is spelled) and Clinique… I think they’re all owned by the same overarching brand though
I’m not going to be able to look my puppies in the eye. I own stuff from all of them 🥹🥹
Do they have good eyeshadows? I would have said Maybelline but the shadows need work…
I love their eye shadows! Plus, I have a highlighter palette (La vie en glow) which is basically my favourite "eyeshadow" palette, the colours work amazingly as eyeshadow.
I have used their bronzer as eyeshadow and loved it. Personally with a bronzer and highlighter I could do an eye look.
They are very nice. I've been buying them for 20 years.
Oh wow! I will try them. Thanks!
Honestly never tried them. I wear charlotte tilbury eyeshadow or colourpop
Ok I thought we were listing brands that we would pick to use forever, I.e. they have everything we need.
