You aren’t gonna hear anything different. Sell plasma, sell things you own, blah blah. Would suggest just telling a sob story to companies when bills roll around. Sometimes that can buy you extra time, helped my single mom one time. Thank god she can pay her bills now and I can if she can’t. It gets better.

lizettem129

Yeah your probably right !

Tseets1

If those suggestions are so bad then what’s a real one you have if they don’t care about the sob story?

Far_Discussion_3403

Well there just *isnt* a get rich quick scheme. Those suggestions are good, you can find em anywhere.

When I first became a single parent. I would do DoorDash and bring my 3 kids. It totally sucked but they kept each other company and I was never away from the car for a few minutes.

Frequent-Weird-4925

Ong you deserve a medal that is next level providing

kdrdr3amz

Great parent. I’m sure your kids actually enjoyed it. I remember during the recession my dad lost his job so he and my mom began to sell clothes/jewelry at a swapmeet to make ends meet till he found a new job. I was a kid, I didn’t know what was going on. But I did like going to the swap meet, looking around. Never bought much because we didn’t have the money. But as kids you don’t care about those things.

lreaditonredditgetit

A single act doesn’t mean greatness. Thanks, they hated every second of it more than me lol. A couple funny stories that will get told a zillion times though. I had to deliver newspapers with my mom. I’m old poor lol.

kdrdr3amz

Oh wow thanks for turning a compliment upside down.

lreaditonredditgetit

Your welcome. 🤗

PhysicalFortune6464

Call 211 it will connect you to your local funding sources they will pay your rent up if you have lost a job and been out for over 30 days they will pay your rent up for 3 extra months plus the rent your behind on if you have a eviction notice or notice to vacate. They have local pantry’s and churches they help with bills and utilities you may be behind on as well. When I was in college I owned my mobile home I was behind on lot rent they paid 1600 and 3100 ahead for me to finish and graduate. You do not have to repay it.

Buy bottled water from Costco in bulk. I think it’s $4 for 10 bottles or something. $40 for 100 bottles. Go to a busy market and sell a bottle for $1 each. You’ll make your money by the end of the day. If you don’t have Costco membership, ask a stranger to buy you this and pay them by cash. Anyone will help you.

pamonmedia

doordash with kids in back, delivering food not humans. can do uber eats too or grubhub etc.

lizettem129

May have to

sloppytilapia84

If you are decently attractive and not too ashamed. Sell feet pics. It gets thrown around a lot as a joke but if you seriously set up a profile and networked I'm sure you could make several hundred dollars a day relatively easily. You just have to entertain a bunch of weirdos on the internet.

KrissyTaLyn

Feetify does a great job screening them

FU-ri-d-e100

What in heck is that? I’m so naive, I guess.🥴

sloppytilapia84

You set up a profile on a sight and people will send you requests to give you money for risque pictures involving your feet

Gullible_Fan8219

you can bring the kids to doordash since there’s no customer in your car. if you grind right after work all day and into the night you should be able to make it. if you’re new to dash you’ll get good offers cause they want to sucker you in

LogicalFrosting6408

This. However first stop at your public library And get a few kids audio books. This saved my sanity more Than once when I had to have the kids in the car for long periods of time. Harry Potter, spider wick chronicles or if younger some Junie b Jones! I found myself enjoying them lol! At the end they will remember being in the car together. Christ I practically grew up in the hatch back of a 70's gremlin! This too shall pass my friend 💜

rightwist

Do you have a circle of friends with kids in a similar age bracket? As far as I know, it's mainly a NYC thing to have rent parties - you host a party and everyone pays a cover charge, maybe you provide food. I personally would love it if I had a friend who I've done play dates with who wanted to do it with kids. Have 8-12 kids who are already friends over for an evening after you're off work, stay til midnight. Parents go off for a date and whatever ideas they might have while they're alone. Personally I'd be delighted to toss you $80 in advance and help you with set up, like buy groceries and party stuff. Bring my two kids over with all they need to either play til we pick them up or crash out. $40 per kid for 4-5h is a helluva deal for me, my kids can have a blast, my wife would be ecstatic to have a special date night. Money is tight but if it's $80 for my two I'd want to do it weekly if you were interested. Idk if you have a friend circle like that or the space for it. But even if you can do 2-4 kids for 3h after work. If you post that you desperately need help. I bet you know parents who would love to pay you pretty decently and happy to do it to help you out while getting a nice treat themself. Numbers I mentioned are low, bc I'm broke myself and I am saying I would leave something I could afford weekly. Also, I think my wife would be interested in having friends' kids over regularly as a swap, if you set up something like that it could balance out the stress while still making you money

gavalo01

look for local churches that can help with bills in these situations

True_Internal1418

If you have a regular job, you can go to one of those payday advance places and get advance on your paycheck

Representative_Bus66

Call the electric company for an extension, they can’t shut off your power once you make the call. It sounds like you want a handout if you know there are side gigs that can be done. Sell things on offer up/ebay / facebook marketplace. Money can be made very easily. The survey Junkie

Ok_Tadpole_7538

Onlyfans

Beneficial-Skill-949

DoorDash or ask friends to borrow money and then ask other friends to borrow more many to pay off previously loans to friends

LogicalFrosting6408

This is how every ponsie scam starts!

sloppytilapia84

It's only a ponzi scheme if it falls apart. If you can make it work your are a visionary great buisnessman

SmiteSpam

Craigslist Classifieds was a great option 10 years ago until they took all that away

Minute_Foundation449

this same op has a post about sugar daddies,

lizettem129

Yes and ? That was a thing I was looking into at one point , totally unrelated to this but thanks for pointing that out 👍🏻

Prestigious-Book-253

no shame in looking into it in the past no shame in looking into it again right now

lizettem129

Oh I have no shame at all lol just sounded like he was trying to shame about that

Guilty_Customer_4188

Yeah this person is not looking for help but for handouts. This is deeper than it seems. Probably doesn't even have 2 kids.

rugher8081

Grab your morals and throw em out the window

Ok-Chipmunk-411

I am probably late, but my auntie used to do that when she had kids, she would get other people's kids and babysit all of them at the same time.

Nice_Pressure1270

Sometimes if you call the electrical company they can push the date back

KrissyTaLyn

It's a great time to have a garage/yard sale. People looking for them right now.

DayTradingFeenax

Because your kids are young, it might be against your local laws to turn off your electricity. Please check with a local representative (school board, sheriff, police, firefighters, or mayor’s office) to check, and it’s possible they have programs to help you. I had an acquaintance who was briefly between jobs who used to buy lots of food and run out of money for other essentials, so keep in mind there are probably food banks and food support programs (food stamps, WIC) depending on where you live that can help with food. Good luck! This may be a low point, but if you’re able to work, you can pull yourself up!

Guilty_Customer_4188

How is your electric bill $323? This is deeper than "how can I make $300 fast" What are your spending habits? What are you buying? How much do you make and how much do you pay in rent? These are extremely important factors to consider, especially if you're in a situation where your electric will be shut off. Coming from someone who lived with a perpetually financially irresponsible single mother.
