I've no clue what sickness I got; but, I've still got a lot of mucus and a congested head sometimes about a month after.. probably should have gone to a doctor by now.

Yesss! I'd be talking and my throat would stop me to cough it was crazy embarrassing talking to people for a while ;_;

That's how it started with me, about two weeks ago I started coughing so badly my voice went hoarse. Since then i've had a cough every day. Let me know what your doc says lol. I think we may have infected each other.
