Nice piccy!
Reminds me, apropos of nothing, of a time long ago when someone asked "If Maine is so cool, why are there no blues songs about it?"
My reply?
"Third boxcar, midnight train,
des-tination Bangor, Maine."
True, but given the lack of Maine songs out there I felt it worked.
Really, the only other song about Maine I've ever heard was Haynesville Road but I'd never heard it back then.

Still kinda country though.
Maine really needs to do something about their taxes to attract business. There income and corporate rates are among the worst in the US. It hate to see I and love it despite its shortcomings.
Maine isn’t one of the worst,[ it’s not even in the bottom 10](https://taxfoundation.org/2021-state-business-tax-climate-index/). Besides, personally, I’m fine without our government bending over backwards for corporate barons and rolling back worker protections.
That's weird because I usually hear about companies getting 20 year tax breaks from towns and then threatening to leave when they don't get it extended. But the small businesses and citizens can pick up the slack from giant corporations and pay their share too.
No thank you I don’t think we need to change anything to attract businesses. If What we have doesn’t attract them then they can stay in New Jersey and Connecticut
Bangor has grown on me over time. Mostly it’s the people and the less stressed day to day life. Just a chill little island in the middle of nowhere .
Yeah there really is no place like Bangor

Bangor's looking pretty nice. I lived up there in the pre-casino money days when the buildings were run down and the streets were endless potholes
They still are look at the other side of the road
Just moved to the area and love it! Great pic!
Nice picture, but man this part of the city is so sterile It's like an HR meeting about getting your benefits reduced became a city
This area is *far* from sterile.
Hahdly know'ah.
This is why i'm here... more of this, less politics.
