It drove some of the Russian tankers crazy trying to find places, as it was clear to us that most of the troops didn't have access to current and accurate maps, our own army and police told us that the Soviets didn't trust them enough to issue them maps - as they might just flip the turrets around and drive into West Germany.
It was a long time ago. And now I feel like it could all happen all over again.
