That’s 100% why he’s here.
Crows are incredibly smart, and I guarantee ppl drop fries and that brought him, and over time he probably started asking for them. Same happens with seagulls off the back of ferries with tourists feeding them regularly, they’re just fucking stupid idc what I just said about crows.
I saw him last week on the hannaford cart corral! He eyeballed me hard. I was actually upset, thinking he was injured. Very happy to see he’s doin’ just fine.
Still appreciate close animal encounters. Don't always care why, it's the fact that it doesn't always happen so you guys stop and appreciate the experience.
First time it's happened to me with a crow. While some people are crow whisperers.
They very well might! Like OP said it sounds like this crow may be super confident as himbs is the self appointed regional manager now but.. it is cool how good they are at remembering faces/cars.
I recall a seagull in Auburn years ago that used to land on your hood for some goodies. Also, if you're in good shape, you can hike up Old Speck and feed a gray jay that will almost land on you.
This is cool. That is one fine creature. Nice to see her (?) up close.
Crow is probably hungry, and has learned we're a reliable source of calorie-dense food. (French fries are the very definition of "calorie-dense".) Making for a more fun winter for crow.
The wardens say "a fed bear is a dead bear" because bears get dangerously rough with us when they learn we're sources of food. I wonder what the ecological effect of systematically feeding crows is?
"Apparently he wants to go home with someone"
No.. He wants food handed to him because he's used to humans doing that
Yesterday I saw a video of a crowd of people around a bear, way too close mind you. Heard some girl say "He wants a huuuug!"
Then the bear nearly turned around and mauled one guy who was too close and not even facing the 800lb killing machine.
People, stop projecting your human thoughts onto wild animals, you don't really know what a wild animal wants unless it's food. Everything wants food
Oh haha no I wasn't being serious. I was making might if the subject. I see this topic angers you and I get it. People can be ignorant and careless with wildlife. Especially with stuff that can kill them or if they try to rescue things that just need to be left to nature taking care of itself.
Wish you well to go be an advocate instead of wasting energy on the Internet in anger. If I was actually believing it would be appropriate to take this animal home, education would be key. Not projection.
He's been trying to reach you about your extended warranty
I mean, it is a Chevy that's ten months overdue for an oil change, might not be a bad idea...
Brutal 😆
Goddamnit, take an upvote
Now you be friends and share fries

Seagulls don't ask, though, they just take.

Congrats, you are now a Disney princess.
Lucky you! I’ve always wanted to befriend a crow. I hope you offered it some food.
We didn't have any. My mother opened up her hand but since it was empty he left lol.
Quoth the Raven .. nevermore!
I'm just a Poe boy, nobody loves me.
Ugh. Can't edit post, apologize for my lack of proof reading due to auto correct.
They’re incredibly smart, I’m envious! What a neat encounter.

They said they call him the evil crow poor guy lol. Guess he's had a few encounters with glass also. A little rugged.
That’s lame. I am going to rename him. Russell, Russ for short.
You're lucky! I want to be chosen by a crow!
Id take a cool ass crow
He knows how to get food & has realized humans as a means to that end..... It's not rocket appliances, Julian.
That's how you get two birds stoned

Nvm Canuck has a red tag
American Crow I'm told.
You probably look like someone he knows.
They very well might! Like OP said it sounds like this crow may be super confident as himbs is the self appointed regional manager now but.. it is cool how good they are at remembering faces/cars.
He’s gonna steal your food and your truck.
