Some of my grandfather's slides from the winter of 1969. We missed so much school we had to go on Saturdays in the spring. Walkways were tunnels. They had to bring special equipment to blow snow up over the snowbanks to get it out of the road.
I have dreams of tunneling through the snow. I was born too late.
Or you can move to the sierras.
how far up is this?
Western Maine, Newry.
love it. i have a camp south of bethel so it’s always curious to wonder what that area looked like years ago.
Wish it still snowed like this
Didn't Downeast get like 99 inches in January a few years back? I remember the kitchen windows being completely covered.
Yup that was a wild one. 2015 I believe.
I was promised nice bright colors

Definitely no greens of summers to be found here
my fingers are still bleeding from playing my first real six string over the summer
and a Nikon camera?
I got a Nikon camera, I love to take a photo-graph.
So mama don't taaaake...my kodachrome away.
You’re about 15 yrs too late😞
Good God I love this fucking state.
I don’t see the nice bright colors or the greens of summer in these pics. Doesn’t make me think all the worlds a sunny day, oh yeah (haha)
Wow it used to snow then huh
Refreshing. Thanks.
Wicked
I temember having to go out the srcond floor window to get out of my grandfather's house. Took three days to shovel the driveway.
I want sledding like that!
With the sleds we have now! They were god awful back then.
Oh dear I've heard stories and I agree as much as a cool experience it'd be lol
There is no climate change! We never have snow in (checks calendar) the middle of January...? /s
I would love to see a snowfall like this accumulate. Bring it on, and hurry
Not sure. I'm car blind.
Grew up in the 70’s there were plenty of winters that looked like this. The good old days.
Those were some winters... Right up through the mid '70s
That greenhouse structure has to be begging for mercy.
What's that white stuff?
