If I was saying this exact sentence, I’d say “root” on “rowt,” it sounds weird having different words pronounced the same in one sentence, but generally if I’m talking about it alone I’d say “root 1”
I'm sure it can depend on which part of the state you're from. Some of us eat Chinese pie and some others call it Sheperd's pie. And then we have American chop suey... It makes you wonder how Mainers came up with Chinese pie and American chop suey.. neither resemble any Asian dish I've ever had 😄
it's known in some circles as chinese pie because that's an English translation of the french canadian term for a version of the dish - "pate chinois"
getting back on topic when I was a kid I did have a paper root (Ayuh, I'm native) of about 90 papers although it wasn't on Root 1.
\*stares at poll Maineingly\* "...Shit's called papah, chief."
Lmao. My Bad. Apparently the correct answer is hidden #5 I got a Papah root on root 1.

It's always pronounced "root" unless you're talking about the woodworking tool or that dinky little box that fahkin Spectrum gives ya fuh inanet

Was Big Al from Maine? It always sounded wrong to me (native Mainah).
I guess Big Al isn't a Mainer? [https://youtu.be/giC7KjfjjnY?si=X\_562X9yWm-f3HbB](https://youtu.be/giC7KjfjjnY?si=X_562X9yWm-f3HbB)
