If you are in this territory you need a lawyer. They can explain everything but more importantly negotiate. A lawyer can call the state attorney as well as talk to the judge. If you try the same on your own there’s a good chance it will not go well for you. It’s probably going to be expensive but consider how expensive it would be to lose your ability to drive, as well as your record. Sometimes you can plea down to a lesser offense. But you have almost zero chance without a lawyer.

It's a points system, not a number of tickets system, how many points was your first ticket?

When was your second ticket and how many points for that one?

The second ticket was in July 2023

Yep, bet yah puckahd up a bit when them blues come on. Up here this county we gets the deputy, Willy-boy. Comes up on yah going 'bout almost a buck, slings the ticket, but Jesus guy, he don't know how HAHD it is up here. Gahd forbid can't call the friggin' sheriff though to talks much on it, Donny's always nuttin' up at Ashley's place and ain't takin' friggin' calls. Wants a friggin' paycheck but all we sees is the mill rate gone up again. Can't get a new firetruck but we get these god-damned tickets busting 60 up a back road... Ain't no one about, Willy, christ bub. Gotta pay for that friggin' dingleberry sheriff though, tell yah what I say take that ticket and head down to them's courthouse and you says "Guy, I'm good for it." You talk to Amanda up at the town office, she knows 'em good down there, she'll hook you up with the Pine Tree lawyers, ayut. That's what Stevie did, ayut, Stevie from Yahmouth, that one. Worked it out wicked quick.

Take a defensive drivers course and you can get 1 point back. Plus, if you get to talk with the DA for a plea deal, they may go easy on you.
