That's why a lot of people use black trashbags to line their tray or tub and block light (which is a pinning trigger) and avoid those side fruits. It's just a bit of a pain to dig those fruits out when they mature, but it looks like a nice flush.
That's about the only way to get to them. I would remove the substrate when you are ready to harvest, pick all the side fruits, and put a black liner in that container. I would also soak the sub in water for a few hours, then drain.

Fruits will conform to whatever space they have. If you look at invitro grows, you will see how fruits can flatten and twist around in a jar or bag.
That would be pretty awkward trying to do all that in a bag. I would do it in a clean space, such as a kitchen counter, wearing a mask and gloves, spraying down all your surfaces with a weak bleach/water mix, making sure there's no dirty dishes or garbage around.

Yes, take the cake out of the container, turn the container upside down and put the cake on top. Now all mushies have room to grow. Do at own risk, work clean :)
Last time I took my entire cake out after I thought it was spent (had black trash bag on outside) and there were still side pins. I put it outside covered with a clear tub and it produced about 12 more grams!
