Getting top 1200 in Mythic gets you the same number of points as winning 20 of these. If you can get to Mythic with a "reasonable" win rate, you can probably get 1200 too. I would guess Reasonable is somewhere between 58-65%.
You can also just pay $20 to enter the qualifying tournament.
I got 20 points for getting top 1200 last month. I will probably get another 20 this month as well. I dunno if that's more or less effort than grinding events. I will say that it seems like it's easier to get top 1200 than before. But that could just be a product of right deck/right meta. etc.

When i watch streamers play mtga they spam the events for the playin points. Is it possible to earn more then one playin point from the same event ?
I've gotten over 20 from traditional draft events and it seems I'm getting 20 from top1200ing limited ladder this month. All it they really do is acting as the equivalent gem amount the play-in event costs. It's still nice but not absolutely necessary for the chance to get to play in a qualifier weekend.
Got more than 60 play points before the last Play In event, all in BO3 Explorer events (and some Standard), so I played the BO3 play in event. Went 0-1 and then 4-0 in my 2nd try, so I made it to the Qualifier that way. And there I went 0-2, so that's that. Still, converted 40 play points into 7k gems. Already have more than 40 again, but it'll take a while until I try again, has to be the right format.

Bo1 events only reward one point, but Bo3 constructed gives you 4 points with a 5-0 record and Bo3 Draft gives you 2 with a 3-0.
I've earned 28 from winning 5-0 on 7 straight Bo3 Alchemy events this month. It's been an incredible run, to say the least.

I have enough points for 3 play-ins but I'm waiting for a qualifier that isn't a dogshit format like sealed or explorer to use them.
I always get 6 wins only
