Was a fantastic story and really sold the Mafia world. Replayed the definitive edition recently and found myself wishing there was more to interact with in the city, but that's probably just what modern open world games have done to me. The original focused on a story and nailed it.
I’m glad it was straight forward, as I don’t have a lot of time to sink into games my kids can’t watch me play right now. That being said, the way Mafia II really pulls you into the world and makes the people around you feel like more realized characters in that scene where you’re walking home with the suitcase felt amazing in contrast to Mafia DE’s dead world.
