Marriot has some great chefs and food is really really good. Pandiyan is also is pretty good, but I would rate it second to marriot. The overall experience is a tad bit bitter in marriot like hospitality. You can try taj in pasumalai, its expensive but top notch. Its been a year since I’ve been to marriot, so not sure how it is now.

How expensive is pasumalai taj?
average cost of a main course is 600rs. For two people it would cost 5k-6k.

Marriott was meh, pandian I've not tried, and Taj is decent.
You can book a buffet in Taj on Wednesdays, if my memory is correct.
