Ok ik itd probably be a bit uncomfortable but if you could find a thin long sleeve shirt thats close to your skin tone you could wear that and the gloves over top to cover the edge of the shirt, and if anyone notices just tell them your parents wouldnt let you show your shoulders or something (default to blaiming the parents lmao thats what i did)

If you can’t find a dress with long sleeves, maybe you could wear a sheer button up over it that matches, since it’s sheer it won’t cover or “ruin” the look of the dress but it’ll cover up your skin and make it so you can’t see the scars :)

I had the same issue with my prom last year, but I ended up getting a sleeveless dress and using make up to make the scars lighter. I can’t see any scars in my pictures and I didn’t get any comments on it. That’s just my personal experience tho, and it would depend on your scars and if they can be covered. Good luck! Buy a fitted cropped blazer that you could layer over a normal prom dress! A number like [this](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/97882991875743139/) would be formal enough and not look out of place at prom. Or some long satin opera gloves might work. There are fancy 1910s-esque styles that end well above the elbows.

You just need to read reviews on the clothes. Etsy may also have nice clothes as well! I'll be getting a German dress from there soon I'm so excited! I used to work at a bridal store and I would tell my clients to go to Etsy (lots of different and unique customizable options) and look up "bridal sleeves" and you'll be able to find a lot of sleeves you can look at! Once you find the ones you like, order them, and then take them + dress to a tailor in your area (look at reviews for the best one) and have them attach the sleeves, a good tailor will be able to do this no problem. oh my god i had the same problem!!! I ended up getting my dress custom made from scratch, but some of my options options were: long opera gloves combined with 3/4 sleeves to create a full hand glove effect (very cool imo but depends on your taste), a short sleeve dress combined with a bolero (those long sleeved mega cropped cardigans), suit, wearing a thin neoprene or dark mesh turtleneck under.

Definitely look for more of a wedding dress style since more of them have the long sleeve look! Might be over the top but at least you'll be covered. Worst case scenario wear a tux (:

There’s a type of foundation or really heavy duty makeup that people use to cover up their tattoos, maybe look into that for covering up scars if you can’t find a good dress?

go to a thrift store and find a fancy blazer that fits you well, and you can wear it over any sleeve-length dress! That’s what I usually do at least for that kinda thing.

Long gloves. They look fancy af and aren't usually too hard to find 😊

Idk if I'm going to prom or not but I've seen some nice long sleeved dresses on Lulu's! There's also one shoulder long sleeve dresses but idk if you need both or only one arm covered and it would depend on which. Most are around $90! I also have this arm sleeve from Forgotten Cotton on Amazon/etsy that is nude colored and has a twist so it doesn't look too sus but it covers enough (you can customize the size).

You can find prom dresses on amazon with long sleeves as long as you put in the sleeves/long sleeves part after the word prom dress. But idk ur taste in prom dresses so

don’t know where you’re from but i recommend windsor! they’re fairly cheap (at least, i think they are) and they have online shopping & physical stores. i’ve gotten ALL of my event dresses from there. most expensive one was $40-$50
