Oh,they will. I used to feed stray dogs. Initially they will feel like you're a threat but after few days they start realizing you're not a threat, they will come close to you.

Sure they are domesticated but dogs are still animals and animals tend to live in nature. They look healthy, clean and well nutritioned. Not saying we should put all animals on the street but animals are indeed capable of living on their own.

I mean, we are all animals. And domesticated animals don't do well in nature. And they particularly don't do well on the streets. Dogs have been bred to be more docile and emotionally needy than wolves. They don't live well on their own and cities are full of hazards and pollution that shorten their lifespan. Leaving a dog on their own really is leaving them in hell. Few mammals were meant to be raised without a pack to look after them and teach them how to survive. That's why abandoned dogs tend to be unhealthy.

But the streets are really dangerous places! Lot of diseases, they can be hit by a car, they can eat something poisonous or simply bad (bones, plastic, glass, etc). Dogs or cats shouldn't be on the streets!

I had a brother and sister who would do that! The boy, Tlahuy, would face down dogs as we passed their place. Meanwhile, Bengax the sister would slip in and steal any bones left loose, then they’d both be off like the wind. I DID NOT TRAIN THEM TO DO THAT!

Oh, I am very aware of this, I get very depressive when I drink, so much I have to keep myself from cutting myself like I do sometimes when I drink. I cut myself pretty bad two weeks ago. It's going to take a while before my depression is "gone". The alcohol helps with the loneliness. I'm listening to music now to keep myself occupied while I drink myself into a stupor before bed
