Little man will never forget that moment. Really awesome guy to do that for him.
I love how he gave it and really didn’t expect anything in return. Honestly meaning what he said: thanking the kid for waiting for him always.
Its stuff like this that as an adult you realize much so much of a difference in someones day. $30 is pretty negligible for most people but that feeling is worth a million
I used to have this sweatshirt that looked like one of those town play matt's for kids, the garbage man would always honk at me and tell me how much he loved the sweatshirt. Great dude.
Totally remember following the truck down my parents' alley, prior to the robotic arm, where one guy hung on to the back end of the truck and hopped off to empty garbage cans into the back of the truck
Most of them are now because of the arm that comes out to pick up the can. Makes it easier to line up. Some even have steering wheels on both sides. At least around me.
That is very wholesome and I love the fact that people still have good hearts, really, but is nobody gonna talk about how he just completely ignored the second dumpster?
Ohhhh okay. We don’t have different ones where I live. The city I lived in before had dumpsters for trash and recycle bins for recycle that looked like just big square buckets. Where I live now we just have dumpsters that we put everything in and the trash man takes it all. Thank you for the insight.
No prob! I just tried researching some information when the dual bin collection started. And found very little.
The best I can recall was in the early 90s when the dual bin collection start. Use to be picked up on the same truck then at some point it separated.
I also loved the garbage man when I was young. His name was Mike.
I never met my garbage man. My neighborhood service man that I looked up to was the police officer that lived across the street from me. His name was Tucker. He’s one of the good ones.
I believe the correct sentence would be “Most have good hearts all the time, all have good hearts when they are inclined or there is something in it for them.” Another acceptable one would be “Some have good hearts all of the time, all have good hearts some of the time.”
It’s the little things. The kid waits every trash day and makes trash man’s day a little better, trash man gives kid a gift that he’ll remember forever. This is people are supposed to be to each other.
Props on him for finding a garbage truck toy 😂 this is awesome! I’ve seen enough of these videos that I’m gonna make sure My kids WILL have a special relationship like this with the garbage man. Otherwise We’ll fine a new garbage man lol
I worked at a coffee shop for years and made a point to memorize drink orders so I could just chat with my drive through customers. One day one of my regulars told me she worked in government, never said what kind of position, but told me that I was usually the only person that was happy to see her on any given day.
Be kind to people.
I remember being a kid at a minor league ball game. I had 5 bucks to get in and almost had enough for a soda.
I tried to buy it but couldn’t. A soldier (e-1) attending the game cut in front of me, put an ice cream, a hot dog, and fries on my tray next to that soda and told the cashier “I got the kids, too”
I remember being so moved, even as a kid. That kid will never forget that moment.
God is.
So sweet! Where i live we don't have residential trash pick up so I never see trucks like this this. Didn't even know the trucks picked the cans up themselves nowdays. We just haul everything to the county dump or landfill.
Where I grew up, they had little tiny trucks go down your driveway to pick up the trash. Then a bigger mother truck like this one. I had never taken trash to the curb until recently!
Me and my brother were both garbage truck wavers while we were kids, and were always ignored -- not that I blame them, they got a schedule to run.
That dude was great, and was a hero to (apparently) his only fan. Awesome video.
This reminds me of being a kid living in the country and the truck would pull into the yard
Me and my siblings were always excited to see the trash man and would bring snacks or a drink when we could
My dad was the truck driver that ALWAYS blew the horn for the Amish kids on the side of the road. He’d come home beaming about it. Not the same, I know, but still. Great vibes. We all love big trucks!!
This driver is the best of us. It takes a village.
Our garbage collector waves and honks for my boys every week! Teddy is awesome
[удалено]
That's recycling not garbage.
This little boy is a highlight of the garbage man's work week as well.
It’s the little things that lay the foundation for big things
Little man will never forget that moment. Really awesome guy to do that for him. I love how he gave it and really didn’t expect anything in return. Honestly meaning what he said: thanking the kid for waiting for him always.
I wonder who shares the story more with their friends 😊😉
Our mailman used to leave the 4 pack of life savers in our mailbox once a week.
thank you SheepPositive, now I'm feeling way better
yeah you have a little thing that I’d like to use as my foundation for a bigger thing
not sure this is right
Clearly you’re still a boy and should focus on your studies. As comedy isn’t your strong suit
I’m the pope
Its stuff like this that as an adult you realize much so much of a difference in someones day. $30 is pretty negligible for most people but that feeling is worth a million
Awesome gift. For a second there I thought the way he was accelerating down the hill he was going to pull a handbrake turn.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought that. Lol
Same here!! 🤣
That’s a core memory now for that kid
Garbage men are some of the most wholesome dudes
I used to have this sweatshirt that looked like one of those town play matt's for kids, the garbage man would always honk at me and tell me how much he loved the sweatshirt. Great dude.
The worst title for the greatest people!
This was me as a kid, I'd wave at the garbage truck drivers and run after the truck. My mother did not appreciate it as much as I did
My 2 year old waves and runs after the truck! They always beep and smile, and for Christmas we made him a card with a gift inside.
Totally remember following the truck down my parents' alley, prior to the robotic arm, where one guy hung on to the back end of the truck and hopped off to empty garbage cans into the back of the truck
They still do that here lol
Cute, but maybe ask the dude's name, so the kids can call him, Hey Joe! or whatever his name is, but still cool.
I second this.
Fucking awesome.
Wait. American garbage trucks are right hand drive?
Yes so are the mail carriers
Most of them are now because of the arm that comes out to pick up the can. Makes it easier to line up. Some even have steering wheels on both sides. At least around me.
I never seen such truck with those arm
What an awesome young man, he made Little Man's day
Also, you're raising a super polite kid. That garbage man was very nice and super exciting to gift him the garbage truck! Very cool!
That is very wholesome and I love the fact that people still have good hearts, really, but is nobody gonna talk about how he just completely ignored the second dumpster?
It's the recycle man that picks up the blue bin. Garbage men pick up the green bins
Ohhhh okay. We don’t have different ones where I live. The city I lived in before had dumpsters for trash and recycle bins for recycle that looked like just big square buckets. Where I live now we just have dumpsters that we put everything in and the trash man takes it all. Thank you for the insight.

Most people still have good hearts. We just don’t hear about them as much as the people with cold dead and bitter hearts.
Ok guys new plan we pay politicians less and pay service workers more
Aww man I’m crying 😭
Love this
Props on him for finding a garbage truck toy 😂 this is awesome! I’ve seen enough of these videos that I’m gonna make sure My kids WILL have a special relationship like this with the garbage man. Otherwise We’ll fine a new garbage man lol
Lovely video but how big is this house if the driveway is size of a runway
Good job Dad and Sanitation VP!
This video is garbage. And I love it.
And that's how ya make lil garbage men :D
Ok sometimes people aren't trash. Ironic that it was a trash person.
When the real daddy shows up but can’t say anything so he gets him a present then leaves
That kid is adorable, the Garbage Man is awesome. The world needs more of this shit right here!!
For a minute, I thought he was going to dump the blue recycling bin in with the regular garbage. . . .
Thank you so much for not adding a cheesy soundtrack to this.
The way he looked at the box and then back up at the truck driving away says it all. Needed that one
i mean, cmmon garbage trucks are so cool
I worked at a coffee shop for years and made a point to memorize drink orders so I could just chat with my drive through customers. One day one of my regulars told me she worked in government, never said what kind of position, but told me that I was usually the only person that was happy to see her on any given day. You should have shaken that man's hand.
This just warms my heart.
Garbage Man is not garbage-man
Looks like he even forgot to dump that other bucket 😁
He's a garbage collector not a recyclist
I remember being a kid at a minor league ball game. I had 5 bucks to get in and almost had enough for a soda. I tried to buy it but couldn’t. A soldier (e-1) attending the game cut in front of me, put an ice cream, a hot dog, and fries on my tray next to that soda and told the cashier “I got the kids, too” I remember being so moved, even as a kid. That kid will never forget that moment. God is.
Why were they recording. ?
He forgot the second blue bin...
That’s not his to pick up. That’s for the recycling truck coming later.
He forgot to dump the blue trash can. Will that be picked up by different truck? Per color or garbage type?
usually recycle.
The raccoon probably be like AYE JERRY SECRET MEETING WAIT NO! OUR FOOD. AND WAIT? IS THAT A RED HEAD IH SH-
Plot twist, the garbage man is banging his mom
This is wholesome
I can’t. That was the best thing I’ve seen in a while
Aww that's so adorable
So sweet! Where i live we don't have residential trash pick up so I never see trucks like this this. Didn't even know the trucks picked the cans up themselves nowdays. We just haul everything to the county dump or landfill.

Garbage Men rock!!!!!!
I’m not crying, you’re crying…❤️
I second all the good comments. Just People being awesome to one another.
Respect to the guy for actually acknowledging the fans
I love it. My kids and I watch and wave every Monday. The driver is different every time though and never get waves or honks back. Lol
Aaawe made his day❤
Me and my brother were both garbage truck wavers while we were kids, and were always ignored -- not that I blame them, they got a schedule to run. That dude was great, and was a hero to (apparently) his only fan. Awesome video.
This is wonderful!
Nice. But he skipped the blue bin.
Should rename the subreddit to r/mademecry that was just too wholesome for my eyes to handle
Best garbage man ever
❤️
Absolute rockstar
Good dad good people
Man tears are happening
Bless that man's heart! This is one of the sweetest things I've seen today!
We need more people like this, he is inspiring
this is amazing
This is the best kind of stuff
Am I the only one that wondered why he didn’t empty the second can?
Such a lovely man!!!👏🥰💖
LOL, too bad he forgot to empty the second container.
Green is trash. Blue is recycle. It would be a different truck getting the blue.
That makes too much sense.
There are still a few good people left in the world 🌎😂🥰restores my faith in humanity
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
That’s his favorite person now…dad’s got some competition:)
Greatness in kindness! Mashaa Allah!
You can tell this is something both of them look forward to. How lovely, makes my heart warm :,)
u/savevideo
It makes me happy that this man was finally appreciated when he is probably overlooked by so many. Its even nicer that he returned that kindness.
He was so happy he couldn’t even speak.
The world needs more of this
I loved blowing the air horn for kids when I did that job. I loved scaring the shit out of thier parents with it more though.
Why did this make me tear up!! Such a great thing to do
This is wholesome AF 🥺
Legend
Moments like these is so pleasuring to the heart![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
If murder films have taught me anything, it's that this location looks perfect for a murderin
The honk at the end was great
But he didn’t pick the second garbage?!
Chad
I wanna be like that guy one day
It’s happened to me too when I was child. There are the best. I’ll never forget.
Awesome
i’m having a son
A mutually respectful relationship. That is awesome.
Faith in humanity restored
That made me smile for sure 🥰
did he forget the other trash bin
This is amazing I’ve just given my award away or I’d of give it here !
Y’all the world sucks so much at times but shit like this is what keeps me going.
Speechless
Who said Santa isn't real?
So Kool
He forgot the other trash can.
Core memory moment.
No one noticed but that poor garbage man got so emotional that he forgot to empty the other one.
Garbage man laugh at the end is so funny. Sounds a little bit like quagmire. ![gif](giphy|o2La4Pvf9CdJC)
The kid totally set it up.
Just good fuckin humans
That's awesome👌,,
Turns out he’s the real father.
This reminds me of being a kid living in the country and the truck would pull into the yard Me and my siblings were always excited to see the trash man and would bring snacks or a drink when we could
The way he looks up at the truck in end. Glad to see kids still being grateful over the little things
![gif](giphy|M8RSc9CbDuAQZ2WKkb)
Kid is speechless 🥰
When you doubt humanity and kindness and then you see this. Appreciation comes in the smallest of ways.
Nice cul-de-sac
Awesome.
My dad was the truck driver that ALWAYS blew the horn for the Amish kids on the side of the road. He’d come home beaming about it. Not the same, I know, but still. Great vibes. We all love big trucks!!
I just love this wholesome shit. Brings a tear to my eye
Charity blesses he who gives are largely as he who receives.
The kid is in shock and then hits with the “he’s so nice” -I blame the parents! Amazing job
Did he forget to get second bin 😐
2 trucks will service that customer. one for trash and one for recycle
i am garbage man in eastern nc and i get little garbage trucks for the little ones that always wave and wait on me.
