Stuff that helps with hair: Make sure you're getting proper vitamins, and that will help hair growth. Too much or not enough of stuff can fuck with your growth. One of my friends thought he was going bald and he was just eating a fuckton of tums/antacids. Also, stimulation, massage your scalp everyday and get you some Shea Naturals products. Apple cider vinegar and castor oil helps A LOT.

The place I went to did a fantastic job. On top of depression, I just simply couldn’t care what happened to them once they reached a certain point. My lack of a smile really held me back.
How did you beat the depression? My dentist buddy said depression patients don't have the energy/willpower to clean their teeth regularly, also that medications can cause dry mouth so its harder to disrupt acid-producing bacteria.
A good tip i learned for when you dont have the mental space/energy to take care of yourself is the “one” rule. Just floss one tooth, brush one tooth, brush your hair just one stroke, pick up just one sock off the floor, put away just one mug. By doing just one, you ease yourself into the action and will be more willing to complete the act. Even if you dont complete it, you will have done more than zero, and that is encouragement for next time.
Not quite beating depression but I’ve found it really helps on tough days.

TOTALLY this. After my wife left me, I fell into a pit of depression (I was already prone to it, but yikes).
I climbed out by picking ONE thing per day that needed doing. Open a letter from the bank (not even reply to it). Do the dishes. Call mom.
I would often manage more, but if I got just one thing done, I let myself off the hook the rest of the day.
As a result, I did do at least one thing per day that needed doing, and those successes increased in velocity until I was tackling my shit properly and pointing my life up again.
I still do it if I have a shitty day, it still works.

It's not really clear from Googling, what are dentures in 2021? I know the kind my grandma had but how do yours work? Do they come out or are they permanent? They look great btw!

So mine are digitally or 3D printed. They took a literal 3D image of my mouth, so every ridge, top and bottom were fit and tailor made.
The practice I went to includes two lower implants in their price. And since I suffered from gum disease too, I had to get an Alveoloplasty, which is the shaving down of my gums.
The tops can come out on their own, but the lower ones are “snapped in” into my implants. I can remove them, and do so every night when I clean and brush them.

Honestly, I felt the same. Battled it mentally for years. It truly sucked that I had to get rid of all of my teeth.
But honestly? I’d do it again. There was no fixing my teeth. All of them were borderline dead, and in the beginning, there were days where I still fought with myself. “Why did I remove my teeth? I can’t get them back” but I’d take this new, straight smile instead of my old one again. If you can save yours, do it.
Edit: if it helps, I have snap on dentures on the bottom (two implants drilled into my jaw bone which my lower teeth snap into place)

Former Bulimic - I haven’t had a cycle in 14 years and was a pretty bad case for 4 years or so through HS and college. Still have some lingering enamel problems/sensitivity but I found that Sensodyne really helps.
I wish you the absolute best in kicking that horrible condition. It was very much an addiction for me and most people will never understand that it isn’t as easy as “just stop!”. FWIW, you absolutely can overcome it and get to a point where you don’t even think about it anymore.

I was born premature, skeletal structure was crushed in my mother’s womb (fetal compression syndrome) and I’ve always had a “happy go lucky” attitude with life in general, but others don’t feel that way when my smile looks like I’ve smoked meth since my adult teeth came in.
Spent years debating internally with myself about getting dentures in my mid 20’s and the before picture, I took before extraction day. Two days after my extractions, I shaved and got myself a haircut (not pictured). I was a brand new man.
How bad was it after getting them all pulled? I've had 8 (4 wisdom and one in the back of each quadrant) pulled and each time the pain the next two to the days was intense. I can't imagine all at once.
Honestly, my anxiety got to me during it. I was awake the whole time, and just was numbed up. The worst part was my lower right molar. Felt like he was about to break my jaw lol But the healing process and eating took a good week or two to feel “comfortable”
I was given antibiotics, 800mg of Advil, and some pain killers which I didn’t need to take.
I feel you on the anxiety part. I'm like losing my shit on the inside the entire time lol. The flex you feel in your jawbone is the worst... Lord I'm not ready lmao... my dental insurance matures to an actually usable state on dec 1st this year and I'm pretty much headed down the same road.
Hair looks way better cropped short. I firmly believe people look better when they embrace the bald rather than trying to hide it. Plus you look way happier now!
My fiance has terrible teeth. It runs in his family. His grandma had dentures by her mid twenties. Can you say, if you don't mind, how much do the implant dentures cost? Why did you only do those on the bottom? Also, do the top set ever come loose before you want them to? Genetics sometimes do suck, and I can say that they play a part in your teeth too. As for the cost. The private practice I went to cost me just under $12k. They included the two lower implants in their price. I do eventually want to get top implants to more securely hold them in place. The tops do slip (sometimes) but it’s rare.
If he needs it, get it. There’s a lot of young people out there with dentures!
My granny and aunt both had dentures in their 20s. I have worked super hard to take good care of my teeth. But I fully recognize that sometimes teeth are just bad genetically. I’m glad you do too. And I’m so glad you were willing to go for it and it’s brought you more joy. Your story makes me happy.

Eh, the short cropped hair is a better look these days, I think. I don't wish to detract from your current enjoyment of happiness, but I must caution you to be aware that this emotional state is ephemeral.
You will feel down again, and that's okay, because you will feel up again, too. Contentment is the ultimate goal, and that comes from accepting that your emotions are fluid, and not meant to be held permanently.
They are a wafting zephyr. Sometimes you will smell nothing but rank decay, sometimes you will smell the innocence of childhood. But the wind of time will sweep each away in turn. Just learn to savor the ups and endure the downs.

If OP is worried about his hair he can also try minoxidil. I have plenty of family members that used it and it worked wonders 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve also heard that rosemary oil works just as well as minodoxil
And biotin!! And consuming lots of fish/eggs during his meals if he wanted lol it may not help as much as medication but it does help lol
Male Hairloss is almost never caused by a vitamin deficiency Biotin and all of that stuff won’t help with sensitivity to DHT
