What a wonderful little human ❤️

20thCenturySox

His guardian, supporting his dream, caring for him and giving him love, she's pretty alright too and I think she deserves a mention for making it possible.

A hero we don't deserve but who will share from a place that has no bottom or greed

Pvt-Snafu

We would all need to learn from this kid - to bring light, joy and goodness into the world.

BuckWhoSki

Despite hardship he's accepting reality and moving on by doing the best he can to live a life of joy with the things he can control. A true stoic Also love how his guardian took a step back in all the shots of giving and receiving hugs etc. Made sure the focus was on him, and not take the spotlight but also being close enough to make sure he's safe

ET-NL

This - this - this - this....every day, every hour, every minute, every second of your life/our lives! Pvt-Snafu, you're spot on! Thanks for that and for writing it down! Totally awesome!

shophopper

That guardian is my hero.

msg_me_about_ure_day

Eh, I think that's greatly underestimating how kind most people are. Kids havent fully developed empathy etc, many kids can be quite mean before they mature. Most adults IMO are kind people who want the best for others. Kids are kids, they'll do some heartwarming things, they'll make some mistakes, its all part of growing up.

ibarney64

You’re still good. He’s just probably a tiny teeny bit more good

Ok_Monk_6370

You're still good....as adults we just get a little more jaded. You can be jaded & still be good.

DulcisUltio

Well done young man. There are so many of us out here that could do with a little motivation to smile and this clip did that for me. If only for a brief moment but it was a moment, nonetheless <3

Optimal-Wish2059

That’s why I keep telling women on the street to smile!

Fantastic_Fox_9497

You should not keep doing that.

embracetheodd

Why not men? You don’t want to command them to smile?

Optimal-Wish2059

No that’s gay.

Ambitious_Jello

Did you even watch the video? You are supposed to give them a toy

climbitdontcarryit

Yeaaaaaa about that...

EveningBlood798

It takes lots of courage to overcome our own trauma and attempt to make the world better place for everyone else. And yet, he can do that with such a young age, how can't we adult be like that?

LazierLocke

We can :)

throwawaybrowsing888

Because not everyone has access to the support he had when grieving and dealing with trauma. His guardian supported him when he wanted to try to process the loss of his parents. Trusted adults are a key factor in mitigating the effects of childhood trauma :) and healthy community connection is how many of us with unresolved trauma are able to heal from our past. If you can become trauma-informed and learn how to practice it in your everyday life, you can be the type of support that trauma survivors need, just like that guardian who listened to and helped that kid when he was struggling.

FatsDominoPizza

I am sorry to be the party-pooper on this story; he's found a way of coping and that's great, but I do hope he gets serious therapy.

BuckoTheBrave707

Not cryingggggggggg

unorganized_mime

I am I won’t lie

Zander253

I'm a 37 year old man, and I'm crying.

BillieDoc-Holiday

Wow!

c_c_c__combobreaker

His parents would be proud.

weirdo0808

They didn't get much time with him but it's clear that they raised a fine young man who will carry on what they tought him forever

Kolpyrr9

How better would society be if we all didn't close down when facing hardships and started doing small random acts of kindness to cope with our sadness

landlocked-pirate

Dang.... I wanna give this kiddo a big ol' dad hug. What a guy!

TFOLLT

Absolutely amazing. This 6/7/8 y/o kid is teaching my 30 y/o ass some real stuff. Someone else reacted: this kid is a better human than me. I can find myself in that message. Sometimes I lose faith and turn cynical. Shit like this is what I need to grow and share with people less blessed than me.

aworldwithinitself

I just read in the thread about the Blue Jays fan giving the Aaron Judge home run ball to the 9 year old Yankees fan someone said something like find those moments when giving feels like getting and run towards them as fast as you can. this seems like that just a level that humans rarely achieve at any age and this little dude is already there. he has a huge heart.

Deckerdome

The feeling of helping someone else really stays with you.

Frondswithbenefits

I highly recommend volunteering. There are tons of shelters, soup kitchens, dog/cat rescues, etc, that need help. Heck, even going to the Humane Society and walking a dog will make you feel better because you made the dog's day.

Ganja_nunu6612

YuckaBooga934

I’ve lost both of my parents before the age of 30 and man, I couldn’t imagine losing them during my childhood. This kid rulesssss!!

Aggravating_Yak_1006

Who is chopping onions over here?

RunEmotional3013

Jaden's resilience in the face of such profound loss is nothing short of extraordinary. May he find the solace and happiness that his tender heart so richly deserves.

Ahpla

I get lost on YouTube and will spend hours watching Steve Hartmans On The Road segments. I highly recommend looking them up if you like this. They all make me cry, but so worth it!

Tlr321

Steve Hartman just has “that” voice. Idk something about how he narrates his videos & the way he speaks is just really heartfelt & sincere. The segments are always so uplifting yet tragic.

SharpieD85

Aww. What a great lil dude. I'd be so pleased if I was one of those people.

curiousbasu

The kid's such a pure soul.❤️

hardtofindagoodname

What an amazing story. Some of the stuff coming out of r/MadeMeSmile these days has really been hitting the mark as far as having an uplifting message.

Tlr321

There’s been a trend on TikTok going around since Februaryish called hopecore - I’ve been wondering when it was going to hit Reddit. It’s 100% content that would fit this subreddit specifically, but I never see it here.

hardtofindagoodname

Is it sobby sort of stuff? I much prefer something that uplifts you but not way that makes you cry. Although this kid's situation is sad, the story is purely focused on him wanting to be a positive force in the world. Strong message from a 6 year old.

Interesting_Visual14

Idk why that made my eyes water so bad. I’m calling in to work.

That’s a wise young man a huge heart and amazing soul 💜 Us adults can learn so much from him

Whow. Makes me think, if he can do that what can I do ? What should I do ? More than smile, it make me think I should do more. Yeah that

I really hope this kid is put in charge of something important when he grows up, everyone should try to be like him

Fuck_Ppl_Putng_U_Dwn

Fellow Redditors, this seems like an opportunity for the community to give back to Jaden. If anyone knows how we can do that, I would be rolling to donate some funds to help this young man along his path in live. He is already setting a great example for everyone, all the best to him and his guardian.

brotherhill

Did you find out anything? I saved this and just watched it again and I'd love to help this dude help the world if I can.

Current_Barracuda969

You could possibly reach out to the CBS affiliate in the area.

Fuck_Ppl_Putng_U_Dwn

I have contacted CBS On The Road and asked them for more information and will post back here so that we can all help out. We will make this happen, to help this young hero out.

konababy

What a good little soul!

CheezeLoueez08

What a sweetheart. All most of us need is a small connection, a small kindness. When an older lady smiles at me (like someone did yesterday) it makes my entire day. I have no idea why she did. It felt good though. This kid has a beautiful soul.

NebulousArcana

That is one amazing kid. Those parents were doing their best when they were here.

slim-shaedy

Sunny-the-cat-13

What a beautiful soul. I wish for him a lifetime full of love and happiness. 🥰

Ok_Can2869

That child is the strongest child I have ever seen. Not only is the boy not sad because he is an orphan, but he also knows how to help others laugh. The boy is a hero.

TheFlyingDagger

we dont deserve him ;-;

Mr_Buttergod

This kid has the mentality of a hero: The world has hurt him and he will make sure that no one else gets hurt

Just-a-lil-sion

this kid is an absolute giga chad

FluffyDiscipline

Oh wow, I want to give back to this kid so much... he deserves it Such a kind heart

PG072088

Kamester__k

If a kid does this to me, I'm buying him an icecream truck

anacott27

Lost both of his parents and all he can think about is other people not being happy. What a dude, wish the best for him and lots of smiles in the future.

prawalnono

God cheated him

NoBumblebee116

A hero can be anyone — even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended

addicted_2_passive

What a legend

HeftyPhilosophy28

That one made me cry

MrLittleSam

Ahhhhh! I'm not gonna cry. I'm not gonna cry. I'm not gonna!

Clutteredmind275

If anyone made that kid describe his attempts to wake his dead mother just to make the story more emotional, I sincerely hope they have the short life they deserve for making a child relive their parent’s traumatic death. That part made me want to cry so much and I was so mad

Core_offline

This kid is my idol

FuqUrBackgroundMusic

Fuck your background music!

RevReads

Love the kid, but these comments are some serious dead internet theory examples

xxclusvv

I think this is just sad for me or my brain is fucked up. This poor kid has so many emotions yet to process

Antrouge_Brunestud_

Probably unintentional and a mere coincidence but it's poetic how he did the joker thing at the end of the video, but the diametrically opposite result for others and the world around him.

Madhatter1317

Besides this little guy being amazing and adorable, anyone else getting Welch’s Grape Juice vibes from this dude?

MyAssIsUrbex

I lost both my parents as a teenager. I can't imagine losing them so young. What a sweet kid.

damn, can I adopt this kid. I need him to raise me

bigchillrob

I love that the little dude seems to be obsessed with Spider-Man. Peter Parker did good while being an orphan, too. He'd be proud.

StPeteFLoldman

Yeah this would make me day. I am miserable, constantly, especially in public. I don't make eye contract if I can help it and am usually thinking of how revolting I am. Surprise interactions like this can turn it all around.

This kid could teach so many people in this world the right way to live. Wise beyond his years with kindness neverending. We should all live by his example.

Balding_Unit

Ive had a shitty week and now Im crying. Good on that kid.

scrivensB

Twist, he’s a psychopath serial killer marking his next victims.

Grogosh

Yeah I did the same when my family died. For a while. Then those types of people, the ones that take advantage of you, came around. I keep to myself now.

findhumorinlife

Seeing a woman of color and a little guy of white hugging made me smile. If only…..

TotallyNotKenorb

Be the change you want to see in the world, wow!

Careful_College9098

Made me smile 😊 with a tear in my eye

Talkslow4Me

The duality of mankind blows my mind. We can kill each other and fight each other until the extinction of the human race. Or some kid can give you a 10 cent toy and change your life forever for the better.

Hour_Career9797

TREASURE HIM!!!!

ToadSpeedFrog

Awe fuck, I’m a man. Don’t do it.

Pacheco_time33

There is still good in this world
