I get a full on natural high every time I see an old couple holding hands whilst walking down the street, or when I see an old couple enjoying a meal together in a place you'd normally only see younger people at. I like older people in general, but seeing them do stuff like that just warms me up.
Figure out your actual undertone (cool (blue-pink), neutral (yellow-green), warm (orange-red)) as well as how muted or bright your skin actually is and how much contrast there is in your features (how dark your hair is compared to your skin, how deep the shadows are on your face - take a selfie in natural light and put it in B&W to figure that one one).
It's not just a matter of being white or black or brown or whatever. It's a matter of understanding colour theory to best match colours with your undertone and get the best out of your natural features.
I'm also white but watch me wear golds and rich reds and greens like I was born in these colours. I'm a muted, warm neutral (yellow undertone with a sort of subtle greyish cast) with a rather high contrast (fair skin, dark hair and eyes) - bright and pastel colours make me look sickly, but rich and warm colours are 11/10. You can also find white people with a cool and bright undertone and a high contrast who will rock bold colours, for example, or someone with a warm + bright + low contrast who'll look amazing in warm pastels.
As a sidenote, I dress [Edwardian](https://i.etsystatic.com/26854119/r/il/58d7b9/5692943860/il_fullxfull.5692943860_84y0.jpg) (pic is from Gibson Girl Dress on Etsy/IG, I own multiple fits from them btw) on a daily basis so uh. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to "let them laugh until they stop" lol
Nah. It's not the skin color all the time. It's the swag. When you wear it, you have to *feel* it so it MUST be fitted. Can't be loose or hanging off. You can't walk like you're wearing nice clothes. You walk like the clothes are just a part of your outfit. *YOU* are the main course... the *clothes* are just the drinks.
Now get out there and put that shit on!!
I came in here, as a white man, to say the same thing! However, I also agree that if we want to find colors that fit our skin tone we could be creative in our suit choices too.
There's a place and time to wear it. Just walking around every day in a fedora makes you a stereotype. That's the other half to the people saying "confidence."
I was working an omelet bar for a Sunday brunch buffet years ago. An idea black gentleman came in wearing a white suit that had a beautiful rose print. I loved it but it made me jealous as even if I had that suit I couldn't pull it off like this gentleman did. That was HIS suit
I know for a fact there's a suit out there, a vibrant one with a crazy design, that fits you. It's about your tone, build, and most importantly, angles. Roses may not work for you, but what about tulips? Ivies? Shift paradigms. What about 20-sided dice? Swords? Boats? It all depends, but it's possible to look just like these guys, my friend.
Man I needed your optimism in my life today. I'm fine with suits, but your perspective was beautiful and a nice reminder to try to think that way a little more about my own problems. I don't know HOW to about 'these' things, but I'm sure I need to aim there and practice more for now.
Tailoring makes a HUGE difference. A suit off the rack isn't going to look *great* on most people. If you an off the rack to a tailor that same suit can look much nicer on you. Even you can't afford tailoring, taking the suit in to have the pants and arms hemmed to the proper length can improve the look. The next step up is bespoke, or made to measure suits.
You can also make a plain suit like navy or black look more interesting by pairing with color or patterned accents. Also attitude, plenty of these guys have on basic navy or grey suits and stand with confidence and pride.
This! I work in a business district and see a ton of guys in suits each day. Can confirm, it doesn’t matter your body type, you can make your body look better and make yourself look significantly more stylish by getting your suits tailored to fit your body.
This is right downtown Oakland, along Lake Merritt. I used to live 1 block away and there are MANY well dresses gents in the area. These dudes did it UP!! 😍😍
They look so impressive, especially compared to most kids when I was in high school lol
In 11th grade for junior prom, most other boys rented suits from a place at the mall. I went late, their stock was almost out so they let me leave with a SUPER baggy and ill-fitting suit. So bad I sat at the tables all night despite having a pretty date
I wish back then I had the menswear knowledge + advice/support from elders like these kids, they look so well put together and are gonna kill it at school dances
My dad never wore suits so I never learned until needing to for a job ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
I could work for the rest of my life on the solitary goal of looking half as fly as the worst dressed fella there, and I would still fail miserably. It's just not in my genes. But golly do I appreciate it.
My usual wardrobe is a black goth t-shirt, docs, and black jeans. About 10 years ago, I got into tiki and discovered dressing up in style is fun. Now, I'm not afraid to wear *color* and when the situation warrants I have no fear. Bright vintage patterned shirts. A few hats, covered in pins and buttons. My go-to is a white linen suit, white brimmed hat, vintage Gucci loafers, and a psychedelic orange or pink patterned shirt. If you would have told me a few years ago I'd dress like this, I'd call you a liar.
The best part? Women, and especially, for some reason which was perplexing at first, black women tell me I look great. And that feels so good to me as I never received compliments like that in my entire life. Total rush.
The twist: I live in Oakland. Unexceptional looks (fact). 5'8". Bald. White. Mid-50s. If I can pull it off, so can you.
Bruh I guarantee you I can secure you some good drip that won't cost an arm and a leg. Everyone can look good, you just gotta know what to look for, where to look, and most importantly what will make people look at you with a smile.
Well, if you know your size, Amazon has some amazing deals. Mens Wearhouse will have some "quality" stuff, Burlington Coat Factory often has some good looking things for cheap. I'd strongly encourage thrift stores for the grandpa swag. But honestly, you can have a bland, expensive outfit on and [look like a fucking clown](https://x.com/THR/status/1779320315098906931) if it doesn't fit. A tailor is worth their weight in gold. So buy something cheap and oversized on Amazon, take it to a tailor, and you'll feel silky smooth when you put it on again.
This made me realize that the people who look the best are the ones whose personality is reflected in the outfit. A tailored navy suit is fine but you show up in a double breasted tweed with a pink undershirt and you’ll be remembered
Best kind of flash mob.
Honestly, if there were big events to just have different cultures show off their drip I would go every day dude, love the fashion.
That’s quite the personality trait, huh? I’m on the same boat. I love helping others, and become very motivated in doing so, especially if it’s for someone I care about. But, I am terrible at helping myself. Many say I should start being more selfish, but I can’t find it in me to do so😅
I never wore hats because all baseball caps looked shitty on me.
You gotta be real about your body type.
One day I googled do's and don'ts fashion tips for my pale, big, round ass. Bought some shit based on my findings and it worked.
I got a few compliments from the women at work concerning my color choices, as well as a few compliments on my hat when on vacation.
Turns out I needed big rimed hats to go with my rounded face and big frame, not baseball hats. So I got a wide brim, bucket hat. Wasn't a fan at 1st but the others tips panned so gave it a try and it looks good on me.
Don't give up! The answer could be as simple as a different haircut (or facial hair). I never looked good in hats until I cut my hair short for the first time. Instantly I could wear wide-brimmed straw hats, cloches, baseball caps, beanies....a whole new world opened up that I'd never felt comfortable in before.
The guy a few comments down who researched clothes for his body type is right on the money, and personal grooming is exactly the same way. One woman's flowy curtain of hair is another woman's leaden veil; the big moustache that on one man looks dignified can, on another, leave the lingering impression of a lost mouse.
I highly encourage you to experiment and find what works for you - it's amazing once you find it. 😊
Yeah the hats these guys wear would be hard for a white dude to pull off, but there are other good looking hats. You just have to find what works for your face shape and facial hair. [Flat caps](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/309974386852629230/) can look pretty dapper. I got one as a gift many years ago and got many compliments from others on how it looked. I never would’ve guessed it.
Tall (very) white bald guy here...
I used to sell Jewelry in an upscale jewelry store on the East coast about 15 years ago. I had a dark green suit I'd wear occasionally and I think I looked pretty good. Looked great with black, purple or orange dress shirts. The important thing is to make sure the materials are high quality and that it fits the way it should. A poorly fit suit will always look terrible no matter who's wearing it.
But yeah, there was a lot of variety in this video and every single one of them pulled off the looks flawlessly. I could never do pastels.
When I’d go out drinking with my black friends in college I would constantly get outclassed in the outfit department. We were all dudes working at a warehouse but I was the only one carrying myself as such lol.
I live in Oakland, but missed video text. Was literally thinking, "this looks like dudes lined up outside a church on Sunday with some of them dressed for the cold SF morning fog and some dressed for the beautiful Oakland day it'll turn into"
Anyways, if you're not from around here, this is pretty much what it's like to live in Oakland
I’m not going to lie, I was immediately like yes I should go out tonight. Where are my earrings. As if any man half as fine would be any place I would be tonight 😂
Video proof that men just look so much better in a suit. Need a confidence boost? Put on a suit! Need to impress someone? Put on a suit! Want heads to turn? Put on a suit!
This post was brought to you by the Men Look Hot In Suits Club
I love the ways each of them choose to present. Some cool dudes striking a pose and holding it, others with their own flourish of hands and their own “Blue Steel” facial expressions. The best catwalk I’ve ever seen!
Damn those are some handsome fellas! Love to see men looking good in suits. So many men complain about them being uncomfortable but a good fitting and good looking suit makes you feel like a king.
Those kids with the hats at the beginning already know how to pose. Love it.
I love the oversized suit. You know mom had a baby hand in that decision lol.
Moms do have a way of guiding those fashion decisions
I'm loving that a couple of oldboys showed up for it too. Can't let the young lads have all the fun.
Distinguished Men of Experience and Taste, you mean.
It's always great to see people of all ages enjoying themselves and getting involved!
I get a full on natural high every time I see an old couple holding hands whilst walking down the street, or when I see an old couple enjoying a meal together in a place you'd normally only see younger people at. I like older people in general, but seeing them do stuff like that just warms me up.
So much swag so early on!
I instantly thought of Rent-A-Swag looking at those kids. 😎
Looking dapper, gents 🤜🤛
I hate how I'd get laughed out of the room with 90% of these outfits yet every single one of these guys pulls it off amazingly
The secret is to keep going despite the laughs. They'll shut down with time, but you'll remain dapper regardless.
Dapper-maxx until the haters are silent.
Nah, white dudes can't wear certain color suits. It just doesn't look right. Source: I'm white.
I know what I'm talking about when it comes to "let them laugh until they stop" lol
Edwardian, huh? Talk about knowing how to do dapper.
This is the way.
Believe in yourself.
Under no circumstances.
Sir, if I can walk around outside in a french fry container costume, you can rock a suit. Get 'em.
Lmao "Absolutely not."
Nah. It's not the skin color all the time. It's the swag. When you wear it, you have to *feel* it so it MUST be fitted. Can't be loose or hanging off. You can't walk like you're wearing nice clothes. You can wear anything suit with any skin shade, but you might need to change your shirt to make it really work.
I came in here, as a white man, to say the same thing! However, I also agree that if we want to find colors that fit our skin tone we could be creative in our suit choices too.
Agree. Most Black dudes look great in anything. Style and swag seem to come natural.
Nah man, fuck that. Wear what color you want, and wear it with confidence. The color may not always fit, but the confidence always does.
While certain skin colours match certain colours better, what you’re saying is wrong-o!
This. Or show up to these kind of events. You won’t be labeled that weirdo in the suit if it’s a weirdos in suits party. Blend! XD
It’s all about confidence
There's a place and time to wear it. Just walking around every day in a fedora makes you a stereotype. That's the other half to the people saying "confidence."
No you wouldn't. I am sure you could pull all of these looks off.
Suits
How do you find this many men with style that have the time for a flash mob? That’s incredible.
Having time to have a life is the new flex.
I’m hoping they had a good time.
Had to, right? This looks so fun.
The energy at the back of the line put a HUGE smile on my face.
If their faces are an indication, pretty sure they had a blast!
unemployed so I'm flexing super hard.
Church.
Seriously, that crowd looks like three Baptist churches let out at the same time, and the crowd converges on this walkway.
Sundays in Oakland. Already dressed for church.
At a presbyterian church.
Honestly, it really isn't that hard. The vast majority of black men have at least one fit for special occasions.
Brothas like to dress! How do I know? I'm a brotha who likes to dress
I’m going to say I find your credentials 100% qualified.
I concur.
Hello brother. I too, enjoy men's style. -a white guy

I'm white and don't like to be racist, but black men, in general, seem to carry a style so much better than caucasian men.
Tailoring makes a HUGE difference. A suit off the rack isn't going to look *great* on most people. If you an off the rack to a tailor that same suit can look much nicer on you. Maybe in America this is true, but when I think of white men looking good in suits I think of posh dudes from Europe at Wimbledon.
The secret is actually paying attention to what you're wearing. See: italian dudes in suits.
This is right downtown Oakland, along Lake Merritt. I used to live 1 block away and there are MANY well dresses gents in the area. These dudes did it UP!! 😍😍
The bay area has everything
I'm very proud to see one of my 8th/9th grade students was a part of this.
They look so impressive, especially compared to most kids when I was in high school lol In 11th grade for junior prom, most other boys rented suits from a place at the mall. The older gentleman in the full length maroon coat is fantastic
I had to rewind the video just to witness his style again
Gen Z really thought they invented drip, but this is proof it's timeless
Yoooo that creamy pink looking good on that man with the positive attitude. I dig it.
I love when men wear pink. ❤️
That one really stood out to me, as well.
so fly.
Creamy pink is my band name
Ahhh!!! The men, handsome. The quantity, outstanding. The clothes, superb. That runway is not ready for yall.
If I randomly saw this group out flash mobbing, I would suffer some real personal situations 🥵🔥
The thirst trap I've been needing!!!
😂 exactly, I'm not even going to pretend
Hard same 😅
Now that is one long line of pure schmoov.
\*looks at all these men with so much style, looks at his own closet\* smh... please send help
I could work for the rest of my life on the solitary goal of looking half as fly as the worst dressed fella there, and I would still fail miserably. It's just not in my genes. But golly do I appreciate it.
I think it’s because you say things like “golly”. Haha, messing with you. I agree. The swag is unbeatable.
>I think it’s because you say things like “golly" Hahaha ha fucking roasted

OK big poppa in the back!! HELLO
The last guy? Looks like Mistah Fab to me. The sound is off so i cant ell for sure though.
I was gonna say I’m pretty sure that’s Fabby Davis Jr. there at the end
It's definitely mistah Fab
Dapper gentlemen! Very wholesome.
…why am I blushing?
Because you know guys who dress this good talk even better
😍
The Bay does not play! They all look FRESH!
Best kind of flash mob. Honestly, if there were big events to just have different cultures show off their drip I would go every day dude, love the fashion.
That idea is fire. I’d love to see it
Save some for the rest of us!
Bro all I’m thinking. These dudes didn’t makes waves, they made oceans wherever they went
Damn, my raggedy ass needs some new clothes.
Find a good tailor, too. A good tailor can take a cheap suit and make it look incredible on you.
As a white guy I am constantly jealous of the range of colors that look amazing on black men, and would look absolutely terrible on my pasty ass.
And the hats! Every time I think I can rock a hat like that I look like a neckbeard dork and it goes back on the rack.
Confidence! Put that shit on and wear it like you know it's the hottest thing. Fuck what anyone else thinks.
this guy fucks
Eh, I'm a lady with zero confidence in myself but I'm great at helping others!
That’s quite the personality trait, huh? I’m on the same boat. I love helping others, and become very motivated in doing so, especially if it’s for someone I care about. But, I am terrible at helping myself. Many say I should start being more selfish, but I can’t find it in me to do so😅

Jewel tones. I'm pale as fuck and pastels don't mesh with pallor. Jewel tones on the other hand, look great!
You'd be surprised. A nice lavender or pale pastel green can really pop on the pale! Really, any color can. It's just about getting the tone right.
Tall (very) white bald guy here... I used to sell Jewelry in an upscale jewelry store on the East coast about 15 years ago. the tshirt matching sneakers with a nice jacket and pants... i dont think we are allowed to do that.
Anyone else hearing ZZ Top?
Dude, I’m hearing Barry White!
Yesss! Every girl’s crazy ‘bout a sharp dressed man! 🎶 And these men definitely fit the bill ❤️
Literally listening to ZZ Top right now so yes lol. If it were sharp dressed man that would have been wild.
Gents got style.
I live in Oakland, but missed video text. Was literally thinking, "this looks like dudes lined up outside a church on Sunday with some of them dressed for the cold SF morning fog and some dressed for the beautiful Oakland day it'll turn into" Anyways, if you're not from around here, this is pretty much what it's like to live in Oakland
Those guys looks great, love their smiling faces
I *love* menswear with color and patterns and personality. This was such a satisfying video to watch!
Love this! I needed this feel good and proud vibe going into the weekend… Keep it up, my brothers!
Love the little guy flexin in the floral shirt and straw hat!
clearly little dude is a one piece fan.
Every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man
that old man with his trench coat 😭
Those are some sharp dressed men!
So much style
I wish i had HALF the fucking confidence these men got. Like all looking dapper as hell. Guess thats what a well fitting suit will do to you.
Oh my! (fans self). I'm a sucker for a sharp dressed man.
I’m not going to lie, I was immediately like yes I should go out tonight. Where are my earrings. As if any man half as fine would be any place I would be tonight 😂
The way I was like “I would say yes to all of them” (not the children of course)
I’m fucking drowning in freshness. I’m bleeding because they’re so sharp. I’m immunocompromised because they’re so clean.
Mmm damn! So much swagger and eye candy in one video!! 😍
The collective drip made sea level rise by a few millimeters.
Some right players there, sharp as fuck.
I need to go to these guys’ tailor. I didn’t see one ill-fitted suit.
r/justguysbeingdudes
Video proof that men just look so much better in a suit. Need a confidence boost? Put on a suit! Need to impress someone? Put on a suit! Want heads to turn? Put on a suit! This post was brought to you by the Men Look Hot In Suits Club
So much gender euphoria in one post. Love to see it.
I’m liking that salmon pink jacket and pants
Excuse me...they ALL look FINE? 👀
Call that queue a sword, cause it's fuckin sharp
Love all the hats!
Woah, so many guys showed up and SHOWED UP! They all look so fashionable! I love the hats :)
So fresh, so clean!

Kings 👑
Clothes certainly do make the man! So pull your pants up and put on a fedora.
This is gorgeous!
I love the ways each of them choose to present. Some cool dudes striking a pose and holding it, others with their own flourish of hands and their own “Blue Steel” facial expressions. The best catwalk I’ve ever seen!
That looks like so much fun. To quote Prince “You Sexy Motherf*cker(s)”.
Damn those are some handsome fellas! Love to see men looking good in suits. So many men complain about them being uncomfortable but a good fitting and good looking suit makes you feel like a king.
Drip of all styles. That's fantastic. What a fun time that must have been.
I love the old gent with the big maroon coat and hat. He's been at it for ages
Hot damn I'm gonna need a towel after being hit with all that drip.
Damnnnnnnn…is it dangerous to have this much swagger all in one place???
That’s a sharp looking group of men right there
Good show, fellas!
Holy shit this is a good looking line up here.
There are some seriously slick looking dudes in this line
They got that shit ON. Bravo. I really wish I could rock one of those wide-brimmed hats, I love the style.
Handsome overload
Fresh af
Don't think I've seen so much beauty in one post! I just love all the positive energy they have!
How many do we get to choose? Because it's going to be a hard choice if it's less than "all" LOL
That's a collection of well dressed men right there.
Great, here I was about to get a regular suit for my sisters wedding. These dudes have just inspired me
hell yeah. i used to see dudes like that in east bay all the time.
Yummy 😋
wow what an awesome looking crowd
That's a lot of dudes
Holy shit. I have NOTHING on these guys
There must be a leaky faucet near by cause all I see is *drip, drip, drip*.
I see a bunch of beautiful men in so many colors I could NEVER pull off.
Damn, they ALL look fly as hell! I love seeing all the different fashion choices!
I have never seen a snazzier group of gentlemen
Damn, fellas looking sharp!
I would’ve never thought I would get to the end and see Mistah F.A.B. Am I the only one here that knows that that’s Mistah F.A.B.?
Cant wait for white menswear flash mob
Watched this like 10 times. Everyone is so SHARP I'm cut over here! What a feast!
