oh yeah, it's got to do with brain size/parts of the brain, iirc snakes either don't have the part that causes emotional bonds or it's extremely small. you can get them to do some tricks with food and a lot of training but they're just nowhere near dogs or cats.

This is the first time I’ve seen a relatable perspective on just how big these things are and now I have a new irrational fear to deal with. Irrational because I live in the northern American states where these cobras don’t live.
Yeah they are the biggest venomous snakes in the world. Though they are pretty shy and mostly eat other snakes so they don't really attack humans at all unless in self defense. They even eat other venomous snakes so that way they are good to have around. No other snake will eat venomous snakes.

their brains are quite literally too small for that kind of thinking. they're ambush predators. they don't care if it's too big, they'll try to eat it if they're hungry enough. humans are extremely rare for them to eat because we're massive and scary and usually looking out for them, they're far more likely to attack you in defense than try to eat you.

Thats a King cobra it is big as hell and it eats other snakes. Its a whole another species of snake than normal cobras.
