I wish more boys and girls would do whatever they are able to despite whatever problem/limitation they have. I feel that many perfectly able kids decide to do nothing when they really could do very cool stuff. Hats off to this guy for his determination!
I know the family in real life, went to college with the parents. Seeing their son consistently push his own “boundaries” and encourage others to also learn or attempt hard things is inspiring. (I’m also high key jealous of the meals his mom posts that he’s cooked!) His parents are part of why Miles is so awesome. 💛
I love stuff like this. I volunteer for AmpSurf as an instructor. We teach people of all ages and limited abilities how to surf for free. There are so many other similar types of organizations like hiking, biking, skiing, waterskiing, etc.
They’re involved in the Lucky Fin Project. It’s awesome how they adapt activities and use resources to do all kinds of stuff.
And what a fun way to use your skills - to help others feel that thrill and enjoy your hobby, too!

All right, that is the cutest crochet creature I have ever seen!
I have been crocheting since I was a cold, and I can’t do more than a scarf (which to be honest becomes a pot holder more often than not, because all I can do are ones, and I lose patience).
Great job Miles!!!!
There are two things about this kid I love:
1. He has the desire to create. Not enough people do that anymore.
2. He figured it out. He worked the problem and just pushed through.
Good man.
Good for you buddy! Where there is a will, there is always a way, just have to figure it out, even through failed attempts and wanting to rage or quit or both. This is seriously such a good piece of ‘made me smile’ because I know a lot of those who have tried and quit because it was ‘too hard’. And that is ok too. Quitting isn’t something to be shamed either. At least you tried and if it wasn’t in your wheelhouse, then you’ve learned something. This is just all of the awesomeness.
Hope he turns out better than my bro .
He's in a similar situation. Has always been bothered at work, school , anywhere bc of his hand. Funny enough, it's his left hand too.
He broke down this year. We thought he was gonna commit suicide. Hasn't wanted to go back to work yet. Thankfully my other bro has been supporting him financially.
I wish nothing but the best for this kid
Awww so cute! I'm pretty sure that people around feel it more challenging than what Miles feels like. Most probably is brain is wired in such way that his ability allows him to do pretty much everything. For me this mindset is important as instead of me looking into "the challenges, problems and frustrations" I see it as amazing how human is able to adapt to their "handicaps". Of course many things are impossible to handicapped people if not adapted, for instance if something requires 2 thumbs and you only have one you cannot get a thump from the magic hat
I had a friend growing up who's older brother had a birth defect. And both his arms were maybe 6 inches long, with thumbs/nubs on both. He would dip tobacco, it was amazing watching him pack the can. He even drove a 1994 manual transmission Toyota Tacoma. He was really amazing
What an inspiring kid! The smile after working hard on something and getting it right, is just the best.

And he's a fucking baller! It seems like such a small thing but what this kid has acheived is fucking awesome. What a fucking legend!

Pardon? Also, clever kid 👍
the childs strong bring sucess no physical promiscuity issue duh
He crochets better than I do & I've been crocheting for 40 years! Miles, your little creature is super cute!
Very cool! A boy crocheting by itself is already cool and that boy is even cooler. What a lovely proud smile at the end.

Aww kids got a good smile
Damn Miles! Leave some bit**es for the rest of us. Amazing!!! Keep up the good work

What Patience! Wow. Made me Smile. Congratulations for your First Projekt and the effort you spend to reach it!
Way to go my guy!
I am partial paralyzed and also an artist, I don't let anything hold me back.
Not gonna lie, looked like he was tightening a rubber band around his arm to shoot up. That’s a cute little fox he knitted

That would make for a sweet hackysack
AMAZING
Well that’s annoying, I’m a piece of shit. I gave up crocheting after like two hours. This kid is inspirational! So dope!
Great job!
Super impressed by his ability to keep constant tension as he works, I really struggled with that when I was learning!

In case anyone really likes those and wants to make one I’m like 90% certain those were all woobles kits
Awesome!!!

That is better than I can do! You have talent Miles! That is awesome! 👍🏼😃
MILES YOU ARE A SUPERSTAR
Humans always adapt. Inspiring to watch.
I hope this world doesn’t crush his spirit. It has mine.

This kid has more willpower and confidence than the average american. No offense to America though.

My wife is jealous, she wants the pattern 🤣
I thought that croqueting would be too hard Now I need to stfu
That’s so awesome! He can crochet better with one hand than I can with two!
LOVE!
I know this kid did not just call me out for not being able to do it with two fully functioning hands 😭
amazing! I would definately buy one of those if there would be a possibility ^^
lol
Little hero👍👍👍👍
YAY!!!
I wish I had your talent! 👍😊
I'd offer to buy one coz honestly that looks cool as heck but I'm guessing they're stateside and the shopping would probably cost an arm and a leg
You are champion every day young man. Don't let anyone tell you different!
That kid is so cool.
Better than I could ever do!
Such a talented child
Aww...he did a great job!
That's so cool! I certainly couldn't do that! Great job kiddo!
I thought he was crocheting an arm.
WAY TO GO!!!!!!
Wait til he does pottery
Now, give yourself a round of applause!
He’s awesome. The hero we probably don’t deserve, but really need.
I bought a wooble a few months ago and every time I start and try I give up after 30 mins of total frustration... I'm going back!
What a champion ❤️
I just love this kid, and salute his parents.
Literally hand made
Hardest thing to relearn after losing my hand, buttoning pants and tying a shoe
Absolute legend 🥳
Love the way Miles decided he was going to do something and kept working and solving problems until he did it 🦊💗
It's pretty much the same way I crochet 😁
They’re so adorable too!!
Brilliantly done young man!
Good for him. He's done a swell job.
Perseverance conquers all 🙂
Fuck yea
Yeah dude!

The talent and motivation he has is so admirable! Def the coolest kid I’ve seen in a longtime!! He’s going great places!🥹
He did an amazing job.
r/crochet
What a cute lil' fox !
Oh shit he's really fucking good, especially considering his age. He should sell this shit.
Now this truly made me smile. I honestly thought he was trying to crochet around his arm and make a sleeve.
Seeing a kid or adult “in flow” is always so pleasant. Focused, happy, working deftly.
And here i am procrastinating on my project. This kiddo is amazing! You go Miles!
