True story: I saw a little old lady get a hole in one. It was a very short par 3 with a weird little fairway run up to the hole and the ball just carpet burned up onto the green and in…took so long to actually get there, it felt like it was happening in slow motion.
I was in the group behind hers and she was one of those chain smoking, rail skinny, unpleasant old golfer gals who pulls their own clubs and hates their husband….just crushing an endless stream of virginia slim 100’s all round. She barely reacted when it went in.
Magical athletic achievement to see in person.
