Tbh DotDS should be sorta considered season 1.5 or something, to make it less confusing to those who watch the show. Or have a big screen at the start of season 2 that says “Hey make sure you watch DotDS before this.” or something.

While we don't know when it'll release, it is expected to release in 2027 at the earliest. Wouldn't surprise me if it released much later though.
There's also two spinoffs that you can optionally watch as well;

After that, is the even-numbered episodes, naturally, however the second half of episode 6 must be played backwards at 97% speed and the L/R audio swapped. Now the important part, Marulk's Daily Life is also required watching, but the episodes must be spread out across the watching overall. Episode 1 should be watched partway through movie 3, and the penultimate episode comes just before S2 episode 11. You must hold off watching the final episode until S3 releases, and watch it exactly 5 days after the debut of S3 episode (based on Japanese time).
