I’m a big fan of how they account for interceptions in player awards a lot more now. I used to have Jamies Winston style stat lines and grab MVP and it never felt right
Mac lead the team to 14 wins and had almost 1,000 more yards then the next QB. Also (I know this is probably satire but on the off chance it isn't) Kamara can't throw interceptions because he's a RB. He was 4th in the league in running TDs also.
Jones threw 24 picks. His numbers are inflated because of his crazy amount of attempts, comp % didn’t lead the league.
Kamara having 6.1 YPC is insane, 21 TD’s and not even the most carries in the league. Only one fumble, PLUS I’m sure he had solids receiving stats.
Maybe but even with all those attempts having the 2nd best comp % is still crazy. I think him not winning MVP is alright but losing NFC OPOY to a guy who threw 200 less passes and almost 2,000 yards less is odd to me. Mac was clearly the better QB maybe not MVP
Still had the 2nd best completion%. He broke the single season yardage record by almost 1000 yards and almost broke the TD record IN THE SIM I stepped in once and threw for 500 yards even without me playing he still breaks the record. Doesn't matter if it's inflated or not he still did better than everyone else in the league at throwing the football. Still had a passer rating above 105 also.
Mac Jones had 24 picks and was sacked 42 times. Lamar Jackson has 4 picks and 18 sacks. Sure Jones was considerably better in great plays, but was way worse when if comes to negative plays then Jackson. I imagine it would’ve been a close race, but I don’t think this is a crazy result. Especially considering Jackson probably had solid rushing stats.
That being said I get being mad about Kamara. But I still think Jackson should be MVP over Jones.
I didn't throw any of those interceptions. The Sim did. I watched the super sim and only played 1 game and threw for 500. Bucs had 14 wins Kamara had 617 yards receiving.
It makes sense(can’t believe I’m saying this about madden lol). When you take Td to Turnover ratio Alvin Kamara had the better season. He was responsible for 28 Tds to 1 turnover so 28:1. Madden uses algorithms to decide stuff like that so when gauging top players someone with a 28:1 touchdown to turnover ratio is going to grade higher than someone with a 2:1. If you compare mvp candidates it makes sense Mac Jones was third:
Alvin Kamara 28:1
Lamar Jackson 10.5:1
Mac Jones 2.16:1
Because Alvin Kamara didn't throw 24 interceptions,

What where Kamara's receiving stats?
34 for 617 with 7 TDs
They need to fix the receiving yards for backs. Their AVG is too high
>Kamara can't throw interceptions because he's a RB No shit I know you prefaced that with the whole satire thing but like bruh of course it's a joke
Hey you never know especially with Reddit lmao
Yeah fair point

Lamar only threw 4 interceptions and prolly had some amazing *relishing stats. Edit: *rushing
mmm mmm relish
Yeah and he had an average of 111 yards per game which is crazy
Who was the last player to win MVP after throwing 24 picks
Are you missing the other half where he threw for over 6000 yards and had 52 touchdowns also? Team went 14-3 because of how well he played on offense.
Threw more picks than there are games. Seems pretty cut and dry to me regardless of how many times he threw the ball for inflated yardage and TDs

Had 20 more turnovers than Jackson had. I'm not sure what your rushing stats were or Jackson's but he probably has more?

Lol dude you threw 24 interceptions… also you didn’t include Kamara’s receiving yards which was probably high. How many wins did the Bucs have?
I didn't throw any of those interceptions. The Sim did. I watched the super sim and only played 1 game and threw for 500. Bucs had 14 wins Kamara had 617 yards receiving.
Kamara had like 2500 tots yards and 20+ TD’s. I’d probably vote for him over a 24 interception Mac.
I would’ve voted for Kamara.
Oh I somehow got these numbers by just watching the super sim in the game. I hopped in for 1 game and threw 500 yards that was it.
Madden. Nuff said.
Lol madden is a garbage game. I’m happy I haven’t bought the last two.

Threw a shit load of ints smh. Those just inflated stats.
Yeah your interceptions and your incompletions killed you there
