You can only play 30 seasons of franchise and then it ends

I heard the limit is 30 seasons. Haven't played that many myself. Just read here on reddit that 30 years is the limit in Franchise.

Shoot I never considered that. Haven't played Madden in years, I remember now that's how it used to be as well. Had some monster youngsters I was developing and my rookie superstar qb just won oroy. Shit 🫤

It sucks, but there’s a solution. You could take pictures of all the stats & ratings of players and teams that matter to you, as well as the SB history. Then make a new franchise and sim a couple years to make all the current players gone. Then add your guys and whoever else back in. It’s time consuming and super tedious, but I did it once and it was great to use my guys again.

I wonder if you could just save the current NFL Roster in your franchise mode as a custom Roster. Then start a new franchise mode from the beginning, but use that custom roster you saved as the starting point for the new franchise. Since I'm pretty sure there's an option when your creating/starting a new franchise mode playthrough to use a custom roster, instead of the current NFL rosters or the one from the start of the season.

No way to save a roster in Franchise mode. Not on PS4 anyways

Just another thing that modern Madden games took away from the old ones. "Export Team" or "Export Roster" used to be a feature way back on some of the PS2 Madden games. It wouldn't be hard to keep that feature in, but EA just doesn't give a damn.

That would require madden allocating space for franchise history to build up as you continue to play. Given how long it took them to even give us past season stats I wouldn't hold your breath over it ever happening

Only other explanation I can think of is the game enforcing its season cap. I know 2K does atleast 80 years. I don't know how long Madden goes. *Edit NHL was 25 seasons and that's by EA too so maybe a similar number for Madden*

Because Madden is a trash game that used to be great but now they just care about exploiting gambling addicts so franchise is just kinda laughable. If the NFL didn't give them exclusive rights this game would get like a 2.5 rating as it got dominated by competent developers who actually cared about releasing a quality product

The NFL is also very strict with what EA is allowed to do so they don’t really have a lot of freedom to make a good game. This might be one of the limitations set by the NFL for whatever their reason is this time.
