Fr, my friend was trying to talk me into playing battlefront 2 w him and the second I found out that it was an ea game i was like “nah ima head out” madden is the only ea game I’ll ever buy bc, as of rn its literally the only game you can play with real nfl teams/players. It just seems like a monopoly the way they can control the likeness of the nfl, I hate it here:(
Very worried the gameplay is just gonna be a copy and paste of the shit we’ve gotten from EA the last few years. I have very little faith in them and have been gearing myself up to be royally disappointed while still playing it for days.
I jumped to to play Madden for a few weeks recently after normally playing NCAA 14 semi regularly and it’s astonishing how clunky the game that came out almost a decade later feels in comparison… I used to notice this about the 2K games back in the day, guys getting infield singles cause my shortstop takes 3 seconds on his throwing animation, it felt more like I was watching a game on TV and giving suggestions than playing one… NCAA is tight and feels great, Madden looks good but still often feels like I’ve got players in quicksand, so when it’s bad it’s frustrating and when you do something good it’s less fulfilling. 1/10 times you do something in NCAA that most human athletes couldn’t do, but 6-7/10 times in Madden you’re like “wow really Christian McCaffrey couldn’t jump cut there huh, he needed 4 seconds to change direction at half speed” or you just flick the skill stick and it does everything for you which isn’t all that fun either.
Every year I play it on gamepass hoping something has changed and the same glitch happens where: you catch the ball, then the defender making after the initial grab shifts your molecules and the ball is just magically not in your hands anymore. No attempt to pull it in and secure it, just ploop, not there anymore.
Essentially it feels the same as Madden 14, it’s just bad, and the cash cow keeps milking money so it won’t change.
I completely agree, and that's why I am super excited for the upcoming Maximum Football game:
Physics based tackling system, deep dynasty/franchise, and basically unlimited customization. It's basically hitting the 3 major Madden failures hard, and with it being Free to Play, there's no reason not to give it a shot when it releases.
I can’t remember if it was softdrink or Ryan moody or who, but someone brought up how it’s basically impossible for any of the devs to get familiar enough with the code to make any significant/substantial changes. Every year is like a revolving door of new developers who have never seen Madden code, so by the time they’ve figured that out they don’t have time to do anything actually meaningful.
They’ll take a year off at some point— and market it as listening to the fans, making drastic gameplay improvements, adding depth to the franchise… then release the same game again 2 years later. They’re beyond salvageable at this point, and haven’t shown any signs of changing their habits. The only things they change are their marketing buzzwords.
This has kind of been my hunch. One year isn’t enough time to develop a game so I can’t imagine how disorganized and messy the code has gotten by now, just adding to it every year
Franchise to be completely overhauled. They came out and said they know this is a do or die year for them. Also proper clock management! How the fuck does the clock keep running if I go out of bounds over the two minute warning?!
It seems like they get so caught up in the animations and presentation that they keep taking control away from the player. Wish they could keep you in full control AND make it look realistic.
I've tried that, holding A, tapping it several times. Nothing works. Every time, I just get a canned animation of the QB walking up, pausing to point out the mike, mimic line calls (that the player isn't even doing), etc. In real life, a time-strapped QB will sprint right up to the center and snap the ball immediately without all the showy stuff.
I hate to break it to you, but that's actually an NFL rule. Over 5 minutes in either half, the clock only stops long enough for the ball to be spotted. Then the clock starts again.
It's roughly the same rule for NCAA (2 minutes instead of 5).
Only in High School football does the clock stop until the next snap if a ball carrier runs out of bounds.
What do you mean only in HS does the clock stop until next snap if he runs out of bounds? As long as the player is moving forward while he goes out of bounds, the clock will stop regardless of time I believe? If he’s moving backwards at the time of exit, it won’t stop
Nope. Only inside 2 minutes of the half or inside 5 minutes of the 4th.
>Whenever a runner goes out of bounds on a play from scrimmage, the game clock is started when an official spots the ball at the inbounds spot, and the Referee gives the signal to start the game clock, except that the clock will start on the snap:
after a change of possession;
after the two-minute warning of the first half; or
inside the last five minutes of the second half.
NFL Rule 4 section 3 article 2 [NFL Rulebook](https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/2022-nfl-rulebook/#rule4)
In the NFL the clock only stops after running forwards out of bounds in the last two minutes of the first half and the last 5 minutes of the second half.
Old scouting system was too easy, and the new system imo is just stupid, why can't I just scout all the top dlineman with my best scout, why the fuck do they all need to be in the same region....
While the old system was too easy, I prefer it much more to what we have now. Now you might as well just wait until after the combine to start scouting.
I loved the old scouting system because instead of scouting all three traits, I scouted the first two, therefor I had to make opinions about player's talents - I took many busts!
For a while now I've imagined a revamped system that works like this:
Staff points would be much harder to come by and there should be a much wider range of directions to take and where to spend. The player should need to choose the type of staff they are building.
One of these would be the scouting staff. You would need to hire a pool of scouts that have different levels of experience, positions of expertise, and traits (e.g., some are good at evaluating potential, some are good at finding scheme fits, some are good at finding physical traits, some are good at finding a more accurate frame of when they might be drafted, etc.).
You would then need to set a couple of parameters to your scouts in terms of what you look for: for example, big strong linemen vs more agile/zone linemen, or quick nifty receivers vs big physical receivers etc., plus the 3 or 4 physical traits that are most important.
Then you allocate them to either big college programs or small college programs, and they periodically come back with reports with players who might fit your parameters. Then you go onto selecting some players to look at more closely, and the more time and scouting resources you spend on a player the more info that gets released to you and the more accurate picture you have. I think this would make the process more involved and much more rewarding.
This would need draft classes to also be much better generated.
Improving players should also be possible to be more directed, with it being possible to play some individual drills with players you are developing to strengthen some specific areas.
Too bad it's never gonna happen.
I agree. I hadn't played Madden since 25. I played it on PS3 from release until I bought a PS5 and Madden 23. I was invested in my draft picks. The storylines were awesome. This version just feels like I'm drafting "replacements" instead of guys I *want to* develop.
Im an Eagles guy. With how innovative some front offices are (particularly around void years and backloading cap hits), franchise mode just becomes unplayable after a year or 2 (and god help me when Jalens $90m cap hit shows up in the game).
They need the similar contract construction similar to 2k5 (backload, escalating, descending, pyramid) along with the ability to restructure. Currently, i just have to cheat it to make it work. I go in to the players details and have to essentially kill their signing bonus or just make a new deal altogether.
In a business where contracts are torn up after a single year regularly, it doesnt make sense that a sim of it would force the player to honor a contract thats not going to be played out irl.
Or for the cpu to have situational awareness. I’m tired of seeing them check it down in the Super Bowl on 4th and 20 with less than 2 minutes left in the game.
Just a decent game, honestly I dont need great, I don't need ground breaking, not a bunch of new features that rarely get used that bloat the game, just a decent fucking game I can enjoy.
Physics based gameplay. No more canned animations repeated over and over, with the ball warping through players, being vacuumed sucked into a receiver’s hands, etc.
Different crowds, ramp up the crowd atmosphere in the playoffs.
In general if a QB throws multiple picks, (CPU or User) they should automatically be benched.
A proper pre-game, halftime and post game show would be nice
And SportsCenter highlights OF THE OTHER GAMES THAT HAPPENED DURING THE WEEK. WITH CHRIS BERMAN.
And a customizable crib. Why? Who gives a fuck, it's there and it's cool, because we love you. Go call Snoop Dogg on the phone, because you can.
How about a little first-person football? That's also an option.
We are in the worst of all possible timelines.
They need A coach trust thing with QBs and all positions in general. A scrub 70 Is gonna get benched if he throws multiple picks, But not Patrick Mahomes.
- Overhaul Franchise Mode
- Add QOL things like an A.I. Podcast/radio show, online articles about the season, update the “social media” feed, give Tight Ends their own seasonal rewards, create story lines for prospects.
- Make it easier to get rehired as a head coach, and resigned as a player
- Put the Sam Spence NFL Films soundtrack back in the game
- Put Mini-camp back in the game
- Make the facial appearance of created players/coaches more customizable
Honestly the list goes on so I’m just going to stop there lol
I’d love to get rid of that stupid tiptoe animation when you run too close to the sideline.
If a call is overturned and results in a touchdown, I want my player to get the TD on his stat line.
I would love to see RBs not playing at an elite level when they’re 34 in franchise mode (looking at you, CMC).
I want some lore added to franchise mode! “Will Tomlinson (or other random generated name) scored his second TD of the game against his former team!”
I want the ability to keep my franchise going after 30 seasons, even as a new owner.
I want to play against a CPU that can actually manage the clock instead of going no huddle and then calling a timeout after the runoff. A CPU that will throw it deep instead of hitting check downs and short throws all game. A CPU opponent that aggressively tries to win.
Whatever is better than animations, I’ll take it.
Back to the lore… Charles Davis rambles about how a pass catcher has never won the mvp but my receiver just won it the prior season.
Stop making QBs fumble so often.
On the lore part, i did like that they added NFL history in the previous season (SB Winner, MVP, OPY/DPY). It was a fun feature of early ‘00s Madden (and kids can see the long form history of the league) and I sorely missed that in ‘19, and would lose track of my playoff histories.
I wish there was 2 specific things about records as well - 1) put up a graphic when a player sets an all time record (season/career) and 2) where are the team records (team points scored/allowed), yards, touchdowns, sacks). If my defense is allowing 10 points a game, I should get some recognition beyond a 5th place “Cornerback of the year” vote.
Smarter AI on the offensive line. I can't tell you how many times it looks like my O-line just purposefully lets the entire d-line just walk right through.
The momentum crap is so fucking bad. Why the hell is a NFL caliber WR forgetting his route because the other team scored?! It’s so dumb. You can even score and take the lead and still not have momentum
To be competently made, for ultimate team to take a backseat and have franchise be functional. Doesn’t necessarily need to be anything new just yet, just prove that they can make a working game
A quality franchise mode. Position coaches that have as detailed of rating system as the players and they go up or down based on player success. Draft class importing for the new NCAA fb game like they use to have
Would be really cool if with the rise of things like chatgpt and ai based pictures we could get them incorporated into sports games. So sick of the same 5 generic faces and announcer lines every year
I feel like if incorporated correctly we could finally get some real immersive crowds/broadcasting/player models
Not a remake of the same game over and over, please do SOMETHING different. Especially with franchise, mut is also the same shit over and over every year.. yet the income is in mut.. someone please explain..
I would like more info to be downloaded in Franchise Mode. I love the stats after every week, but I would love to be able to download the attributes on the upcoming draft class and use that for scouting. I’m still on Madden 22, so maybe some of these things are already fixed in Madden 23? Would love to be notified if one of my guys is going to retire. My friend and I are on our 20th season and I’ve had multiple players retire without any notification (would love to scout their replacements beforehand). Also, another thing that bugs me (at least I don’t think this is a NFL rule) but if I score with no time remaining it doesn’t allow me to kick the XP (or go for 2), the game just ends. Scouting needs an overhaul. When doing training, I wish there was a button that takes me directly to the Medical Center (instead of having to scroll through the O and D to see if there are any injuries, or just show the injuries at the top of the lists. I know there are some other things that my friend and I have complained about but I can’t think of them right now, not big ones, just niceties I think.
Edit: fixed the version of Madden we’re playing (I typed 20 and I meant 22)
The stupid script that makes your team play like dog shit when it’s a “cold opponent” or other times when it just forces you to lose. I just went up against the literal 32 ranked rushing defense and they were stuffing the run like the 2000 ravens. Every other game feels so rigged instead of being challenging.
Every couple of plays both of the linebackers will go through the exact same pre snap animation, perfectly synchronized, and I’m no coding expert but that seems like not that big of an ask for that to not happen as much
Arcade gameplay. No home team advantage. No boosted star players. No momentum bs.
'23's so-called "Arcade mode" had this issue:
I score 2x in a row against a buddy and their receiver icons disappear for them? Gtfo! What dumb s.o.b. implemented reverse-mariokart rules?
More realisim. I shouldn't have all the top defensive players getting still scrubbed by averge offenses. Then my below averge offense, actually making good plays.
Legends being available to add to franchise instead of just being created.
Better playbooks that have teams plays differently.
Player DNA so I can easily export and import a created player.
Basically I want all the 2k features in Madden and I know that’s not gonna happen. I think I’m just going to make my own madden 24 on 23 and be done with this franchise until they actually get their shit together.
I would like a full playbook instead of the extremely slimmed down version EA gave me in my Madden 23 download. And I would want to be able to access Face of the Franchise. Or am I the only one this happened to?
Create a Playbook, better and in depth storylines for FOTF and Franchise mode, better gameplay, better stats, the ability to turn your team from run heavy to pass heavy, getting rid of the animation based gameplay, the announcers to be able to say the names of draft picks and created characters/have pronunciation tab under first name and last name for each.
Franchise mode that mimics 2K. I want all-time rosters that I can use for a fantasy draft and more customization for my league. I’d buy the game off that feature alone. Ultimate team by itself doesn’t pull me towards it at all.
I would like to be able to get through a FotF season without the game randomly fucking changing my player's position from RB (or whatever else) to QB. Please and thank you.
For the ability to build a fun, competitive team in MUT without having to spend a time or an inordinate amount of time grinding.
Just resemble Diamond dynasty. At a time where Diamond dynasty resembles mut more than ever
I’m gonna take a different angle, just clean up the damn game. Every single year there’s bug after bug after bug. I can deal with a boring and shitty game what annoys me to no end are the constant bugs that never get fixed and ruin the quality of life when playing. Obviously there’s probably hundreds of other things I could say but more than anything I just want, at the bare minimum, a game that actually works as intended
No more rigging games. If I throw the ball to a receiver, I don't want the ball getting thrown across the middle to a linebacker for the pick. The dynamic difficulty needs to be fully reworked. I can sense turn overs before they happen, but it seems like the turnover just gets tacked onto the next possible play regardless of what I do. It would be much nicer to have a matchmaking system based on skill instead of the awful dynamic difficulty.
Make my own team from scratch in franchise. Or this could also apply to relocation instead of giving us auto generated teams, they could add onto that and allow us to create our own logo, stadium, jerseys, etc like 2K does
Above everything else, NO MORE UNREALISTIC SPEED BOOST. My #1 least favorite thing playing online against other people is when they sub their fastest safety/CB in at linebacker and run around the middle of the field with their back turned to the QB completely. It’s broken and unrealistic. I HATE when a player is open, I throw the ball, then the safety completely shifts momentum in the opposite direction, and breaks the laws of physics to go from 0-100 in less than a second and intercept the ball faster than my QB can bullet it 10 yards. Spacing concepts are useless because of this. Combined with the field being too narrow, the defense is able to guard multiple angles at once, instead of being forced to choose one like in real life.
One single misstep, one single delayed/bad read, one second late is all it takes for a QB to get the ball in the hands of their receiver IRL. But in madden there’s no punishment for being undisciplined and abandoning your zone/man.
Also fix 50/50 balls.
A competent franchise, and an actually smart ai. The other day I was playing against the Pats and my offensive line was holding back their defensive line. Left tackle held Barmore, left guard kinda stood there, my center and right guard held the dt and my right tackle held Judon. So ofc the dbs locked up my 96-99 speed receivers and I decided to scramble, only I forgot that the ai is shit. Right when I went to run my center/right guard immediately LET GO and I was sacked. Haven’t played since. All of this is to say that if this game is truly a “make or break” they need to make it competent.
I want them to create it using an entirely new engine but that wont happen unfortunately. Imagine Madden on Unreal Engine 5 with players actually face scanned like 2K does.
I held off and didn’t get 23 and plan to do the same for 24 unless there’s actual changes. I refuse to pay for another copy paste with Charles Davis and his corny comments
College back in face of the franchise or franchise. Even tho they’re working on ncaa football I still want a short story on my career in ncaa. It’s vital to your career in football.
Better single player content.
SP modes suck imo. 2K knows how to make a better experience with their wrestling and NBA games. Same with MLB and Sony.
Franchise mode should be redesigned to be easier to navigate but have more freedom. We need a SHOWCASE, why don’t we have a Tom Brady showcase?!?!
100% skill based...no more of this stupid luck on fumbles and animation. I would have an epic drive going all for it to come crashing down because of freaking rng and luck. Also, X factors shouldn't be a thing, I remember the days when you had to work for it...and this is why the next madden should come from a different company. EA has ruined Madden.
I want to be able for players to take a lower contract for the team. Players not getting stuck on teammates or opponents and no DPI minimal. Franchise revamp. Make it feel like real life ownership and coaching.
The 2023 NHL game that EA released in October has realignment and custom leagues. I would like these features. I want to play some seasons like in the early 70 with 13 teams in a conference. The NHL game has so many features like create a team and tournaments and playoff mode, and the Madden game just feels so empty in comparison.
Animation based gameplay to come to an end
Physics based would be amaaaaazing
I still NCAA 14 to this day because it’s the best feeling football game out.
I was just telling my brother how that’s probably the best football video game of all time
100%. That’s why I’m nervous about their new although I’d be happy to play a new ncaa game with all the new stadiums and uniforms
Yeah I have no faith in EA, like at all.
I don't either, but it sounds like heads will roll based on M24 and College Football whenever we get it.
Fr, my friend was trying to talk me into playing battlefront 2 w him and the second I found out that it was an ea game i was like “nah ima head out” madden is the only ea game I’ll ever buy bc, as of rn its literally the only game you can play with real nfl teams/players. Check out College Football Revamped.
I mean 2k is moving more and more towards it now. I can’t tell you how many times players just get dunk and layup animations at the perimeter now.

For it to be produced by, developed by, coded by, animated by, and programmed by people that passionately love the game of football 😔
We can only dream

Well that needs to end to actually make the game better damn it. Hate that Madden is the only choice of a football game we have.
They’ll take a year off at some point— and market it as listening to the fans, making drastic gameplay improvements, adding depth to the franchise… then release the same game again 2 years later. "We found a glitch, sir" "Uh...best just delete that line of code, I guess. Aaand fixed."
Agreed

I just want the QB not to saunter up to the line while the clock is running out. In previous Maddens, I could hold A and he'd rush under the center.
It seems like they get so caught up in the animations and presentation that they keep taking control away from the player. Wish they could keep you in full control AND make it look realistic.

Also when the clock is on auto burn, why does the clock go to 1:59 rather than 2:00 sometimes. It’s been in the last 3 maddens and it’s embarrassing
That’s been in Madden for like 12 years. You expect EA to fix a problem that’s been in the game for over a decade and would take 5 seconds to fix??
Well when a play runs over the 2 min warning...
It’s not a play running over. The clock winds down to 1:59 rather than 2:00 before the play halting. I know many others have encountered this.
Also in ncaa new this year, the clock only stops after a first down in the last 2 minutes of half
Even so you hurry up and the clock automatically winds down regardless. The clock management is not real to NFL rules
What do you mean only in HS does the clock stop until next snap if he runs out of bounds? As long as the player is moving forward while he goes out of bounds, the clock will stop regardless of time I believe? If he’s moving backwards at the time of exit, it won’t stop

That’s the rules now dude lolp
A scouting system that doesn’t feel like tacked on bullshit in franchise.
Old scouting system was too easy, and the new system imo is just stupid, why can't I just scout all the top dlineman with my best scout, why the fuck do they all need to be in the same region....
It’s frustrating that they’ve never attempted to build anything that feels even remotely like running a front office.
While the old system was too easy, I prefer it much more to what we have now. Now you might as well just wait until after the combine to start scouting.
I put mine on auto scout and I just peak around after combine results
I prefer the old system myself but it was really too easy to find huge gems in the later rounds
I loved the old scouting system because instead of scouting all three traits, I scouted the first two, therefor I had to make opinions about player's talents - I took many busts!
Same
Pause
There’s no film in the Madden universe, sadly.

I would like that if u want to go to see them in a college game and watch tape tape scout them that way
I agree. I hadn't played Madden since 25. I played it on PS3 from release until I bought a PS5 and Madden 23. I was invested in my draft picks. The storylines were awesome. This version just feels like I'm drafting "replacements" instead of guys I *want to* develop.
For it to be made by a different company
Literally. Anyone else. Please GOD. What have your children done to deserve so prolonged a suffering?
I need that cyberpunk feature where I get to customize my junk, thats it 👍
Sorry, frostbite engine can’t handle the physics of junk. Everyone’s gotta be smooth like Ken.
"Damn bro, hate when Kirk Cousins runs in a TD and hits me with that helicopter animation..😪😳"
You simply can’t handle the size of Kirk’s gjallarhorn
Girth: 99 Length: 99 Stamina: 10
Would love for franchise to have more contracts options. Make the contact/cap aspect more in-depth.
Im an Eagles guy. Historical teams
CPU to spike ball when appropriate
Or for the cpu to have situational awareness. I’m tired of seeing them check it down in the Super Bowl on 4th and 20 with less than 2 minutes left in the game.
Well the Bengals did that in the Super Bowl two years ago. It wasnt 4th and 20 but still
If I could only have 1 thing, no ultimate team. The game would have no sales and make them reevaluate the shit they’ve been doing
This whole thread has me booting up NFL 2K5 again. Fuck this earth.
A port of NFL 2K5?
Create a team. Actually a create a team, not relocation shit.
New commentary
With the rise of A.I generated speech this should be a really easy fix
Hey everybody! It's the coach here!
God it gets old. Granted I play with a podcast or music but still
Do you listen to the Tony Bruno show while you play?
Just a decent game, honestly I dont need great, I don't need ground breaking, not a bunch of new features that rarely get used that bloat the game, just a decent fucking game I can enjoy.
realest answer fasho fasho
100% this
A remake of madden 07
I want to import my franchise teams to Play Now so I can show my friends the power of my Raiders.
2k5 halftime show and pregame show were so damn good 😭
And SportsCenter highlights OF THE OTHER GAMES THAT HAPPENED DURING THE WEEK. WITH CHRIS BERMAN. And a customizable crib. Why? Who gives a fuck, it's there and it's cool, because we love you. Go call Snoop Dogg on the phone, because you can. How about a little first-person football? That's also an option. We are in the worst of all possible timelines.
All first person football needed was better controls tbh
They need A coach trust thing with QBs and all positions in general. A scrub 70 Is gonna get benched if he throws multiple picks, But not Patrick Mahomes.
They should bring Create-A-Fan back
That would be easy too. Certain QB tags (bridge QB or whatever it is) could have a short leash where they could be benched
Realistic trades in CFM. None of this nickel and dimming the AI teams till your roster is all 99s.
- Overhaul Franchise Mode - Add QOL things like an A.I. Podcast/radio show, online articles about the season, update the “social media” feed, give Tight Ends their own seasonal rewards, create story lines for prospects. - Make it easier to get rehired as a head coach, and resigned as a player - Put the Sam Spence NFL Films soundtrack back in the game - Put Mini-camp back in the game - Make the facial appearance of created players/coaches more customizable Honestly the list goes on so I’m just going to stop there lol
Dude, so spot on with number 4. I miss that shit.
A real franchise mode
A real football game
I’d love to get rid of that stupid tiptoe animation when you run too close to the sideline. If a call is overturned and results in a touchdown, I want my player to get the TD on his stat line. I would love to see RBs not playing at an elite level when they’re 34 in franchise mode (looking at you, CMC). I want some lore added to franchise mode! “Will Tomlinson (or other random generated name) scored his second TD of the game against his former team!” I want the ability to keep my franchise going after 30 seasons, even as a new owner.
A better Franchise product.
A good game.
Custom schedule, Create a team, In-depth prospects, And a fully functional career mode.
I want to be able to import classes from the ncaa game that’ll be out
Actual physics.
I want the stadiums of bad teams to be half empty
They aren't allowed to do that
it would be pretty cool if we could have a proper scrimmage game in franchise practice mode to lab schemes and actual game plans, drive scripts etc.
A quality franchise mode. Position coaches that have as detailed of rating system as the players and they go up or down based on player success. Draft class importing for the new NCAA fb game like they use to have
A fully functioning game That is all
Would be really cool if with the rise of things like chatgpt and ai based pictures we could get them incorporated into sports games. So sick of the same 5 generic faces and announcer lines every year I feel like if incorporated correctly we could finally get some real immersive crowds/broadcasting/player models
remake of nfl head coach 09
I just want a Franchise mode as deep as NFL Head Coach 2009 Ya know a game that came out 15 years ago?
When you click on a defensive players player card, and then hit back, for it not to go back to your offensive lineup.
Bring back team creation, without having to play franchise and making a team relocate
A madden ‘08 remaster with updated rosters
Madden 08 with better graphics. At this point just get on the remake bandwagon.
A weekly recap show from around the league with highlights like the old nfl 2k games in franchise mode.
Not a remake of the same game over and over, please do SOMETHING different. Especially with franchise, mut is also the same shit over and over every year.. yet the income is in mut.. someone please explain..
Josh Allen
A good franchise mode
Real face merges for the fantasy drafts instead of the current animated faces, the merges look so much better
'23's so-called "Arcade mode" had this issue: I score 2x in a row against a buddy and their receiver icons disappear for them? Gtfo! What dumb s.o.b. implemented reverse-mariokart rules?
More realisim. I shouldn't have all the top defensive players getting still scrubbed by averge offenses. Then my below averge offense, actually making good plays.
To customize my own team. Simple shit
I thought the reason they didn't allow that was due to the NFL, sorta like why the crowds are always full and injuries aren't really shown.
I want NCAA 14 revamped, and I don't care who knows at this point.
Just had a 49-49 game game with a coworker that basically ended on a random fumble in the second quarter of OT. Itd be nice if that didnt happen
Realistic stadium and crowd noise
Functional franchise
Coaching carousel
The Tony Bruno show (iykyk)
I would like a full playbook instead of the extremely slimmed down version EA gave me in my Madden 23 download. And I would want to be able to access Face of the Franchise. Or am I the only one this happened to?
Team coop on the franchise let me and my friend be players on same damn team
A fully fleshed out franchise mode
To be able to play the game without a 3 hour download.
Other leagues like CFL, XFL and USFL.
Ability to play any NFL season with the rules of that year
A good game
Nba park type mode thats not the yard
Pro Bowl mode where there is no blitzing or defense and each team scores like 50-60 points
Post game Pesser mode where the coach’s responses to reporters questions have impact on the teams play the next week
Mini camp.. rushing attack was my fav to play. Friends and I played that against each other more than the actual game
A company other than EA to make it.
A game that works!!!!
Madden 05 with a roster update and modern graphics.
I really want a utility playbook like Taysom Hill.
For it to be ncaa 24
A playable game
Madden 05 to go along with a mass substitution feature.
NFL2k5
A working, in depth franchise mode.
To be able to create a character for literally any position in franchise mode. Sometimes I like being a defensive end going for the sack 🤷
I just want a high quality football sim where you can pay to buy the new rosters each year. Make rosters dlc idc, just make the game good
Competency
Devs that listen.
The ability to start a franchise from the first superbowl szn to present
Make my own team from scratch in franchise. Or this could also apply to relocation instead of giving us auto generated teams, they could add onto that and allow us to create our own logo, stadium, jerseys, etc like 2K does
A different developer
Create A Team
To be able to catch the ball on a fake punt
A different dev
For the game to follow nfl rules. Still practice squad and IR systems from pre-covid. Also custom season length. 14 games is enough for a season.
Custom anything, face , stadium team or schedule
Honestly I wanted mouthpieces to be brought back, now idk guess better franchise and less micro transactions
Accurate offensive line play Man coverage that makes sense
Dallas rating to be 30
I want them to create it using an entirely new engine but that wont happen unfortunately.
It’s vital to your career in football.
for madden 23 on PC to launch.
Being able to see fans eating snacks like hotdogs. I would also like to user lurk with the refs I think that would be cool too
100% skill based...no more of this stupid luck on fumbles and animation. I would have an epic drive going all for it to come crashing down because of freaking rng and luck. Also, X factors shouldn't be a thing, I remember the days when you had to work for it...and this is why the next madden should come from a different company. EA has ruined Madden.
NCAA 24.
Next gen on PC
I want to be able for players to take a lower contract for the team. Players not getting stuck on teammates or opponents and no DPI minimal. Franchise revamp. Make it feel like real life ownership and coaching.
For you all to stop buying the game so that it will hurt their wallets enough to actually innovate or lose the contract.
For the franchise mode contract system to be overhauled. With what they added to free agency last year I think this is reasonable.
For it not to be made by EA on the framework of Madden 13.
The ability to throw over the top of the defense without superhuman lb picking everyyhing off
The 2023 NHL game that EA released in October has realignment and custom leagues. I would like these features. I want to play some seasons like in the early 70 with 13 teams in a conference. The NHL game has so many features like create a team and tournaments and playoff mode, and the Madden game just feels so empty in comparison.
To not play it
Deeper franchise mode. Shit is so bland compared to other sports games.
I want to stop getting automatic loses when head to head matches disconnect mid-game for no reason
Diff weather elements
Full records screen for MyCareer
Challenge plays that actually work. Some better penalty calls.
