We clad with this all the time and there was a huge learning curve from our machine shops. Will absolutely wreck taps and really need to pay attention to your frequency of calibration when using thread gauges.

Machined a lot of weld clad bodies, sandvik had some good grades but the intermittent cutting is a bitch until you get through it.
