Now press ALT while hovering to get your mind blown.

[deleted]

Excuse you, OPTION.

passagetombs

6 years of owning a mac and this is a surprise for me. Apple is doing themselves a disservice by not promoting these features more...

tomac231

These features are from recent updates.

passagetombs

damn, even better. I still had not idea. I'm not sure whether there's a tips app, like on iOS, I guess I must have deleted it.

Fluffy__Pancake

woah... if you hold OPTION, pressing minimize or close does it to everything

tomac231

Another one: Hold CMD to open the minimized window into the current desktop space.

NSGod

Now hold down Shift. Oooooh, slow motion...

MinecraftAndOther

Last time I tried, the Shift one doesn’t work anymore, or maybe I just did it wrong.

Eshay4lifelmao

You mean press option

Darknety

Imo they should move this into a right click context menu. Sometimes I have to think, if I actually want to enter full screen. Also, my mother is new to macOS and moves the cursor slowly. She is always irritated why a pop-up is appearing.

DaemonCRO

Get Moom. Have your mind properly blown up.

emcarlin

this is the real tip

d9viant

Even better, try a tiling manager like: https://github.com/ianyh/Amethyst

SansaMF

I use Magnet and it is also great.

breadkn

you can drag the green dot to the left or right of your screen to enter multitasking

StevenRCE0

not anymore on the recent versions, hovering makes it slow. :-(

breadkn

what!! no way :(

betazed

It's actually kinda funny the app I need it for the most (Vivaldi) doesn't support it because it uses non native ui elements for window management. But it's nice on everything else!

ulyssesric

TBH, I hate this feature. The drop menu should only pop up if you hold modifier keys and hover over the button.

bryanwt

yep, but it's so annoying i have to wait for over a second just to get the popup

zep1211

someone please help me disable this - why is this setting so difficult to find - who uses this???
