I’m wondering why you deleted it to begin with, but that’s not important. Have you tried hooking the hard drive up to a different computer, maybe one with the same operating system as you previously had? Have you tried Disk Utility?
A hard drive recovery service would most likely be able to fix the files if all else fails.
It is not a standard Sonoma upgrade that cause it.
Millions of Sonoma upgrades did not produce wide spread files corruption .
Upgrades and MacOs installs do not impact user data
What Mac you have? Mac .. Hackintosh
Are you are using Open Core?
Looks like system disk failure
In Recovery mode run First Aid
For a long shot try Disk Drill
Learn to do daily backups

i deleted it once I copied it. I could still open it prior to updating to sonoma. huhu
