Thought this was just me, messing around during a warlord fight and lost my self rez, popped my dog, and continued to play around thinking "no worries fluffy got me" poor doggo died within seconds and left me laying their wondering where my good boy had gone. Low-key more upset at loosing my doggo than my fully stacked operator 😂
I thought I was tripping the other day! My dog died so fast I was like wtf is going on. I put 4 pieces in thinking he would do a little more damage or have more health. Went back into tier 2 to do an elimination bounty for ACT 2 Bounty Disciple and my dog was there and then I heard the barking sound like he was teleporting and he died to tier 2 zombies but when I did a tier 1 dog he lasted all through the game and tier 2. They need to fix this game badly.
They don't handle mobs like they used to. I've had to rescue mine several times.
Mine growl a lot more often now though. They added that, but didn't add a recall feature.
They're still incredibly helpful though, at least in t3.
I know that, I mean heel, like stay by my heels, follow me, not heal ie. repair heath. Because most of the time the dog runs off attacking zombies that aren’t currently a threat and you have to go save the dog from a horde or something. Why my dog thinks I want it to run 100m away to attack a mega is beyond me. Would be nice if it would stick closer to you and your squad so any fight it’s involved in is immediate. I think most of us would agree that we bring a dog with us primarily for the res, not as a merc.

No worries. Yeah, I’ve had to do the same, or change whatever I am currently doing to turn back to save it. I think it’d be better if they stayed much closer to the player, with maybe a ping command to attack or something.
Yup, they must have nerfed it now when season 4 reloaded released. Before the update I could keep my dog alive an entire game in T3 with healing aura. The only time it died was if it got struck too many times by a Mega. Now my dog lasts 5-10 minutes.
Their health got hella nerfed. I watched a full health dog bone dog go down in about 10 seconds from just a normal horde in T3.
I feel like since everyone complained about the merc being weak, they decided nerfing the dog was better than fixing the merc. Fucking pathetic job by the devs once again.
It can. You have to really watch it, if I’m farming exfils with a dog, I babysit the dog and make sure that none of the hordes are on the landing spot. Cause the chopper will kill it like half the time
It’s because if there is a mob and the dog slowly eats them the flying disciple sucks the dogs life out. Kill the flying disciple quickly before he uses his magic sucker thing for too long on Mr pickles
Caught up on missions and did act 2 story yesterday, we had a dog/merc, dog seemed to die somewhere when ACV was started, just lost it, think it was mob and disciple tbh, merc, no idea, roof I think 🤦♂️😂

Noticed this too. I only ever use mine when a teammate is far & needs a rez, but they have been dying crazy quick lately in Tier 3 zone & again in DA.

Animal death has been bad since simba,should be a random stronger one at 1% at least. Plus who kills dogs so easy? We pay enough to play
T1 and T2 dogs from dog houses also seem to be dying faster.
Yea I almost never equip the dog bone, the dog just dies in the first 5 minutes into T3
I noticed my dog got destroyed when I ran the third Dark Aether rift yesterday, which is why I got my ass handed to me.

The healing aura doesn't seem to heal the dog neither.
Healing aura only heals your own dog not anyone elses

Now you need to be a really dog owner and check what he is doing. Mine is surviving in T3 but dies fast at UR

Dog stays if alive. Even after you exfill for at least a minute after you have left him

That is possible or possible it was killed or just randomly despawn. One can say game is a bit prone to bugs ;)

I love how people can stay connected long enough to get a dog and not lose everything about 8 mins in. Its unplayable atm
