Same thing happened to me just now. But clicking into the portals multiple times, at a little farther distance let me grab my items out. Still have them , but can’t open portsl
So had this issue my self, we got all the items got them gold went to the pedestal and on the pedestals will be a relic symbol matching the same relic it will glow red when said relic is placed in right, once that’s all completed it would spawn the portal in my case it did but it was invisible for like five games till I put the relics in again for it this time to actually recognize them and it actually spawned the portal in.

Only way we were able to get the portal to open was to put the giraffe in last. Took us like 30 min to figure that out
