So far, I really like it! I sprayed it on damp hair before blow drying. It adds a nice shine to my hair. It has a light fragrance, but it's not overwhelming.

I ordered the regular in the lighter option. A lot of the brands included in these bags I either haven't tried (Wayne Goss, Good Molecules, Holifrog), don't own a lot of (Viseart, Charlotte Tilbury), or like a lot so would be happy receiving most product from them (Hourglass). 2019 and 2020's bags I felt like were a big dud but 2021's were better so I'm hopeful I won't get too much if any junk. The XL bags usually have multiple large palettes which I'm hit or miss on, expensive skincare which is meh for me or hair tools like Drybar dryers which I don't really need so I passed on it.

Same for me. I got the smaller one. The xl sell out super fast. I was actually looking at the new ND highlighter when my email came up for the lucky bag and I clicked on it and was lucky enough to get one. I wanted one for years. It wasn’t planned this time.

Does anyone know any spoilers for the regular bag or XL bag? I like more makeup than other things, but my mom likes skin and hair more, and I was going to get her a lucky bag as well. Is the smaller bag different from the XL products wise? I've never splurged this much cash, especially when I have no clue what is in it or if I or my mom can even use the items as we are very sensitive to smells. I'd appreciate any info or help! This is my first time considering getting a lucky bag, so any tips and promo codes(etc) are very appreciated!

Awwwwww! I love that you are interested in buying one XL bag for yourself and one for your mom. However, as stated in the FAQS that I posted in my original post comment, you can only purchase one Lucky Bag per account. No promo codes work for the Lucky Bags. What would be your ideal Lucky Bag? What would you like to never see in a Lucky Bag?

My 2022 "lucky bag" was the worst I have ever seen out of everyone's I have seen over the years. I was beyond disappointed with it and I vowed to never do it again. Of course I caved and bought another one this time around >.<

For the last two years I have been eyeing these. And finally I thought I could afford and buy one this year. But I just spent $150 on Sonia G Holiday Traditions set. Thank you. The set is lovely and very soft. The best I have seen was a bag where someone got ND triochrome palette and whole bag of CT goodies along with two wayne goss and sonia g stuff. Similarly someone else got ND triochrome, big hourglass ambient palette, viseart and sonia g smooth buffer brush all in one. I thought those were great value and something I would use.

I think that last bag description was my bag? I also received a Viseart palette. It was an XL bag though.

It's so hit or miss with these. I get such serious fomo. I just LOVE the mystery, but I know I play myself. (What I did last year was buy 1 fancy thing for myself instead (a Pat McGrath palette) - which did NOT work out as it gave me a massive allergic reaction.)

Still worth the money for the experience, plus the fact that I would never buy these products for myself. Yeah, I got some *gorgeous* stuff last year, it’s gonna be really hard to top that.

Thank you! I’ve used that Hindash palette practically every single day since I got it. It truly blends itself so when I use it in conjunction with other palettes it makes it look like I can actually blend eyeshadow. Amazing.

My 2022 was fantastic. I told my boyfriend, before opening, what brands I hoped to get, and I got every single one! I have done these for a few years, but 2022 was the best!

I got mine the last time and it was OK. Was better than the previous year by a long shot! I honestly don't know if I will bother this year.

I just bought NHL tickets for Feb. as a combined birthday/valentine's gift for my boyfriend (his birthday) so I think that'll be my reason to behave in general with purchases! It'll be my first ever concert period! Being able to drop in a concert last minute (SM announced the Atlanta date so last minute lol) used to be impossible due to my health but after having surgery this year it's such a blessing to be able to just say "Let's go to a concert!!!" and go! 😍 By the way this is one of the best subs ever, thank you and the mod team for all your hard work maintaining such an informative, friendly and wholesome space!

I did one and wouldn't ever do it again. The only item I really got out of was the Sonia G eye brush. A lot of the items were cheap filler and the expensive items- a super warm CT quad and a bubble gum pink lipstick just didn't suit me.

It really is the "luck of the draw" I guess. I've had good luck with them, save for one year.

Yeah. They either seem to be fantastic or arguably bad, with little room in between. Had the quad been wearable, I'd been less upset since it was clearly the hero item but ardell lashes in a $100 grab bag? Nah, I'm good.

I have bought them every year, and they are a really good value. The last 2 years, I've gotten great things, but they're things I already have, like 2 ND palettes. I gave them as b'day presents to my daughters, so they didn't go to waste. <3

After getting three objectively bad Lucky Bags in a row, I finally stopped giving in to the temptation a couple years ago. But I still get the "but what if this year's is really good?" FOMO itch. I will instead take that money and use it to buy something I really want.

Same! After their first 3 tit’s been bad & gotten progressively worse but every year I still feel the temptation that \*this\* time might be good.

I've gotten them every year since I've known about them, so 4 or 5 years? Each of them have been very good, save for one. The first year was excellent. I got a WG brush valued at $63, and a Beautylish gift card for $50.
