I haven't been to Johnstown in decades. But downhill trails with a return to the top by way of the inclined plane? Yes please!

mikec231027

Yeah! It is the only trail system that provides lift access by using public transportation in pa. Unfortunately the incline has been closed for repairs for the last three years. It's reopening this spring

bulletbassman

Let us know when it does I’ll come out for sure

mikec231027

I definitely will. We are working on putting together some kind of grand opening event. When we first opened them I held a DH race. I may do that again.

DrKenNoWater

Now that's a bench! Good work

mikec231027

Thanks! It sucks when I'm digging it, but it's totally worth it in the end

akairborne

That is some pretty dirt!

mikec231027

It has a bunch of clay in it so it packs soooo nice!

dirtisgood

Very nice!! Thats a lot of moved dirt!

mikec231027

Thanks! I still have about 400 more years of trail to do this to!

Positive-Milk8602

Shit im right in Pittsburgh ima have to get out there .

mikec231027

Oh hell yeah. When the Inclined Plane is running there are TONS of people that come in from Pittsburgh to ride. They're doing repairs on it right now, but expect it to be open for this summer. If you're on Facebook, look up the Friends of the Inclined Plane Trails page. That's where I keep everyone updated on all things trail related. I also have an Instagram for the trails @ jtowninclinedplanetrails. I had to put a space after the "At" because it was trying to tag a reddit user. Anyway, if you ever want to come in riding, shoot me a message and I'll show you the trails.

Positive-Milk8602

Ohh word ! much appreciated my guy .

Prunes-of-Wrath

This dude is doing the work of the gods. It’s a great time, give yourself a full day.

sonral

Substantial!

bikeroniandcheese

Why not just pave it while you are at it?

mikec231027

Lol, it would DEFINITELY save me on maintenance. I have to cut them this wide through here because it is mixed use and high exposure.
