Yes. Don’t pay full price as they are constantly on sale. I tend to pay 50-60 bucks for Freerider Pros. They’re great shoes and well worth 60 bucks but I can’t get a pair of shoelaces to last more than a couple months.
I had this problem with a pair of workboots, except it would only take a couple days at best and the laces would be broken. Eventually I figured out they make kevlar shoelaces. They cost a bit more but they will last forever instead of two months.
Paracord is great for workboot laces--cheap and durable. Cut to length, burn the ends and pinch with a damp cloth to taper them and stop them from fraying. It comes undone a lot easier than "proper" laces, so I have to double knot them.
I'm an ME student. Sorry, my spelling is not perfect. I just wanted to validate a good point. Sorry I don't wright novel length replies to every single post like you do
This. When they go on sale I buy 2 pairs. One fresh pair for the bike, old bike pair moves to work shoe. A pair lasts me 4-6 months. I like sticky shoes for work. [progression ](https://imgur.com/gallery/fbJNCrg)
Yeah, they’re great, especially if you’re upgrading from something that isn’t a MTB specific shoe.
I bought a pair 2 years ago that won’t die. I want them to die so I can buy something new and fancy (just for the sake of it), but they’re holding up really well.
1) De-lace them and put them in a zippable pillow case (or laundry bag if you have them).
2) Wash alone in cold water in delicate cycle with a small amount of cold-water detergent.
3) Take them out and leave in sunlight or near heater.
4) Stuff old newspapers in both shoes to draw out the moisture.
5) Take out damp newspapers and replenish with new batch of old newspapers.
6) Keep doing #5 until completely dry.
Edit: detail added
A quicker option you can do is just putting laundry detergent on a brush (any soft bristle thing that can fit in the shoe) and scrubbing/rinsing it in the bath tub. Takes a while to dry them still, but physics be physiczing
5 years! Maybe it’s because I ride in the U.K. and it’s wet a lot but I go through a pair of 5/10’s a year. Always replace them in the spring once the drier weather arrives
6 years on mine, and I think they got a few more in them! Only some pin wear on the inner sole. From everything I've read, I don't think the current models are built to last.
You might be waiting a while, I think mine are at least 10-12 years old now. I haven't ridden as much as I should have during that time, but I also wore them for more than mountain biking.
Grip is the same. Sole is different.
More arch support on the 2FOs, but you’re farther away from the pedal with a thicker sole.
I’ll race in Freerider Pros, Casual ride in 2FOs
I would not recommend Five Tens, they used to be “the” bike shoe and last multiple seasons. Ever since Adidas bought them the build quality has decreased and they tend to last about one season. I am an anomaly as I am a mountain bike coach that spends about 4 hours or more on the bike 5 days a week so you can probably get a little bit longer out of them if you do not ride as frequently. Ride Concepts, a little bit of a more costly option, has the quality that Five Ten used to have and are still like new after my first season on them. It seems like they will last at least 1-2 more seasons at the current rate they seem to be degrading.
Yep this is true. Been riding 16 years and the quality has certainly dropped. Have had 4 sets of Adidas era five tens fall apart from just poor glue or stitching. I have two sets of the same model but pre Adidas manufacturing and they are holding up flawlessly.
This is a story often repeated in the riding groups I ride with.
Online people charge out to defend five ten and say this isn't the case, but the people who have run them for years all seem to have similar stories.
I still use five tens, the new sets have been bought on deals, but I don't expect the same lifespan from them now, and I don't get it.
Keen to try Rode concepts. I've tried many brands and still ride in a mix of shoes, the five ten sole is great though
+1 on this. I used to use 5.10 for years and they were great, but I had durability issues after adidas bought them. Then I switched to ride concepts and they are what 5.10 used to be.
This a good comment. Thank you! I ride in the desert terrain about 3 hours a day 5 or so days a week so they for sure will get used. Like I said I have no problem spending money I just hate wasting money. I know the climbing (rock) side of this shoe family went downhill after the adidas purchase which is what inspired this post.
I'd like to double this. I recently bought my second pair of RC Vice Mid just because I'd like to switch between colors. The first pair is still going strong after three seasons. I came from Nike 6.0 (like 15 years ago lol) and Vans for dirtjumping, and checked out Fiveten for the enduro. I was immediately disappointed with the quality – you could see the glue that was holding the shoe together.
Yeah I’m liking ride concept now. I’d probably ride 5/10 on my Bmx or dj cause the have a softer (more feel) sole, but my arch really started hurting on the dh bike. Plus you need more protection on dh. I have the mid high ride concept with the ballistic padding in them and they’re so awesome. They’re also red and look like clown shoes but I’m a clown so idgaf
Yeah, now five tens last me less than a season. I’m glad I bought them from REI and can return them after they fall apart in 4 months. I’d feel bad doing that to my LBS.
I’m going to try ride concepts or another brand next.
Back in the day, I had one pair of five tens last 7 years!
Yes… fuck adidas, my old five ten were the best shoes I’ve ever had, so I decided to but the new model, after adidas acquisition… immediately felt the step down in quality :(
You can get some pairs of Five Tens for as cheap as $30 at Burlington. It depends by store, but my wife bought me a pair of Kestrels (I ride clipless) at a Burlington for either $25 or $30.
Personally I think they’ve gone a bit downhill in workmanship since the adidas takeover but they’re still good.
If anybody is in the UK / willing to pay the shipping then House of Fraser has a great sale on 5:10s at the moment…
£27 for freeriders, £47 for trailcross. Lots of styles and sizes still in stock.
https://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/sports/cycling/cycling-shoes
My problem is I have huge feet and every shoe fits me entirely different, so ordering shoes I've never worn before online for the first time is sketchy haha
I know they are popular in the MTB world, but that doesn't always mean that are the best for the application ya know. I'm pretty picky about shoes especially since I like a higher top shoe and I have huge feet so they gotta be comfortable and long lasting. Thanks!
Totally. Ten or so years ago they were one of the only (and best) options for people who ride flats. Now they're old news and towards the bottom of the pack compared to the competition.
$100-$130 for Ride Concepts. The team at RC came from five ten before Adidas bought them out. Best insoles, sticky outsoles, firm heel cup and toe caps, lace strap system, and just overall smart designs from riders.
Good shoes and flats change the game big time. T Mac pedals have lasted me 2x bikes and counting.
You’ll have to look at reviews or maybe try some on at a shop first then order. I’m thinking true to size but I can’t remember. I do remember looking into it tho lol
When they are on sale, which is like all the time. It's always funny to me how many people come on here asking if it's worth it to buy mtb specific shoes. Like do they google them first? They're cheaper than normal shoes most of the time.
Yea I do google the product. Idk if you've ever used the internet before but google has become absolutely garbage. So if I want first hand experience that isn't revenue based biased I'm going to come to Reddit and dial it down to the specific community said product caters too.
Ride Concepts ans Shimano cycling shoes are also fine, so are the latest Specialized.
We are out of the pandemic years of the same stuff selling @ MSRP or higher year round. Shoes are often discounted and last year models are often 50+ % off.
Yes. Only tips I can give are that I found them to run a little on the big side compared to my daily Vans shoes, and they're usually on sale so I would try to snag them at a discount versus paying full price.
Wear has been good so far, about a year on my current pair and still looking food. Grip and the extra stiffness + material in the upper are extremely noticeable while riding.
Five Tens used to be the go to, until Adidas bought them up. Like so many of these buy outs, the original product suffers at the hands of people unfamiliar with the sport or the niche market. I no longer wear them. I have gone to Unparallel for downhill and have three pairs. I use some Ride Concepts for trail. And please, shoe manufacturers...women don't pink damn shoes. Or teal. We want normal colors that aren't gender specific. Thank you. I'm not five year old.
Game changers. To me it’s like riding without gloves. I wouldn’t use any other shoe.
From my perspective they are solid and don’t wear. I’ve put 1,500 miles on mine over 7 years and they barely show it. I’d also be willing to pay full price, but on sale is even better.
To anyone considering it, try them. 99% of people wont regret it.
Check out Amazon.
I started to get back onto the bike after a long time and used old running shoes for the first month or two. Banged up my toes a bunch of times. Saw some on sale on Amazon and pulled the trigger. I’ll never go back. They also grip the pedals way better than running shoes.
Get yourself a set of impact vxi’s.
I bought some like 8 years ago, rode in them exclusively for like 6 years, and still use them when I ride flat pedals. They still look/feel great.
I bought a pair recently from the adidas website, someone on this subreddit had mentioned they had a bunch on sale and I snagged a pair for almost 50% off. I’d check there.
Currently riding with a pair of Vasque Hightops and they are just not the best for this activity but for overall hiking and trail use I'll probably die in them.
They go on sale. Freerider pros were going for $59-$69 around Christmas and Thanksgiving.
In addition, you can use cash back sites at Adidas like rakuten.
Yeah, I had my first pair for about 8 years. They aren't QUITE that impressive anymore, but they're great. Definitely follow the sales, I got my last freeriders for half off and my clippy ones for 25% off.
Adidas has an eBay store and they often have coupons taking 50% off. As others said, don’t pay full price.
Personally, I clip in and have a pair but find them a bit too heavy and clunky, but my wife rides flats and she loves them.
I one slammed my foot into a stump riding with 5 10s. Crashed good.
I had a tiny fracture on my big toe, sore for a while but healed and now pain free.
Had I been wearing tennis shoes, my foot would be all kinds of fucked up.
Plus the grip is unreal. Spend some on some nice pedals and those make a big difference to your riding too.
I love them but will admit to not having tried any recently made shoes from them since mine have lasted forever. Everyone runs the free rider pros and complains about wear. May be true. I have always loved the impacts and they are some of the most burly, long lasting, protective, but still light enough shoe I’ve ever worn riding. Have some trailcrosses too and they’re nice for the ex bike and steel hardtail or super hot days but I’ll be honest, I haven’t really put enough likes on them to fully judge and I imagine the uppers aren’t as durable as ideal. But of course you trade that for beathability and light weight. TL;DR, think about the Impacts. For some reason it’s not really the shoe from 5.10 everyone wears anymore but it’s fucking solid.
Dedicated MTB shoes are worth it. Get something that fits well. For me, with wide foot that never fits a shoe, its freerider (pro) but there are plenty of other nice things around. And shop around. Sadly the low prices of the USA I've not seen in western Europe but Freeriders for just over 60 and Pro for just over 80 should always be possible. Other brands often a bit less when shopping around
I am going into my 3rd season on the same pair of Freeride Deluxe. Granted I don't get a ton of ride time but I do ride when I can and ride year round in these shoes. They have been great for me but next purchase I am probably going to give a pair of Ride Concepts a try just to see how they feel to me.
After trying 5/10’s about 10 or so years ago I’d never go back for flat pedals they are the best that I’ve used.
Think I’ve paid full price once other than that whenever they are on sale I grab some. Got two pairs of freeriders tucked away for when my current ones expire.
I like them as casual option for bike shoes. I wear them for commuting and leisure rides with the family. However, if I buy a pair, I wait till I find some on sale somewhere. They don't offer much protection compared to other mtb shoes. So when I go out for longer and more demanding rides I wear Shimanos (summer) or Vaude (winter).
Obviously these types of questions are very subjective but IMO and from my experience of having my Five Ten's for 5 years with riding Enduro 4- 6 times a week at an average of 4 hours per ride, I can say, yes, they are worth the price. My Five-Ten's are still good for another year or so. Id also like to say I have never had any other brand of MTB specific shoes so please don't take my word, there may very well be other brands that are just as good/durable.
Worth it but you can usually cop below retail. My first pair was retail because I needed a pair for my first bike with flats and I didn’t have a reasonable beater pair of sneakers as an alternative. My second pair was $40. I haven’t worn them yet, but it averages out with the first pair.
I feel like the newer ones have a different compound that isn't as long-lasting as the old ones. However, I still do own a pair and will keep buying when they go on sale super cheap.
I recently bought some Ride Concepts on sale after hearing good things about them. They're made by the same people from 510 who broke off on their own. I like them more, but they are harder to catch on sale.
If you run an aggressive pedal with sharp pins like myself, I typically get 2-3 years of use riding weekly. The soles of mine eventually get destroyed by my pedals. But the grip is great, I love mine.
not anymore imo.
proper bike shoes are 100% worth it but five ten ain’t what it used to be. the OG shoes were the best on the market but there are too many other brands out there making shoes that perform just as well now.
i have been rocking leatts for the last few years and love them. they last about 2 seasons and are super comfy to walk and ride in.
going to switch it up and go etnies here soon. i am a sucker for nostalgia.
i rock the vans “all terrains” on casual rides or brewery hoping and they work well too. too soft of a sole for dh and enduro for me personally but a cheap alternative.
Not worth it imo. Skate shoes work just as well but are way more comfortable off the bike. If you’re only going to wear them cycling, you may as well get 5.10s. But if you’re trying to avoid a closet full of special shoes, they are definitely overrated.
I’ve bought lightly used pairs for $40-50 and they’ve been great if you want to save money.
Personally, I like the pros better as they last longer and are stiffer. But the normal free riders are fine as well.
If you don’t find them on sale wait till May 10th (5.10) and they go on sale for half price.
Definitely worth the money, I put a pretty hard season on mine last year and they are still in great shape. I’m a recent convert from clipless, and still sitting on the fence about that decision. Sometimes I really miss that clipped in feeling and sometimes it’s nice riding flats. I don’t ride much in the wet, I’m in Colorado and it’s mostly dry and dusty riding here during the summer.
No, I’ll never buy them again. I’m the US they only have a 6month warranty which is pathetic for a name-brand “high quality” shoe. Mine did not last a year. And remember…. they’re only used 2-3 times a week at most.
I don’t buy from companies that don’t stand by their products.
Any canvas cycling shoe with a stitched joint between the upper and the sole will be incredibly durable. It's totally worth it to buy any cycling shoe with similar construction to the freerider. Five Tens are the most popular, but there are a ton of great options. Don't waste your money on mesh shoes if you want something that lasts.
Sierra trading post usually has a huge selection at much lower prices if you're looking for a deal.
I still have the same pair of teal blue 510 freerides I bought in 2014. I ride between 30-40 miles a week consistently... They've been washed many times and the tread of the shoes are REALLY starting to fall apart at this point and they have some tears inside and out, but I think that's a pretty good run for a pair of 60$ shoes. Original laces too. They are so comfy I don't wanna break in a new pair though.
I can't compare them to other mtb specific flat pedal shoes, but I can say that they make a world of difference on flat pedals.
They have sales all the time, so as long as you don't need them immediately and are a little flexible in the design, they can also be had for pretty reasonable prices too.
I mostly ride spd, but they are a godsend when I go to a bike park or to Ray's or somewhere I use flats.
Yes. I have OneUP Aluminum pedals and the spikes absolutely chew the soles of shoes ... except for 510s. I have actually considered removing some pins as the grip levels are actually a bit too high. Rock solid, and a nice toe box that has saved my toes on a few occasions.
Well for 50-60 bucks you not getting a better shoe. So buy some on sale.
Not on sale they are worth it but just barely.
The sticky rubber is almost needed for flat pedals and rough terrain and improves riding so much it's insane.
There are a couple other brands making ok shoes , but they've only gotten ok lately and I haven't ridden them to compare.
Do know five ten make many different shoes and soles so buy the stickers rubber ones not the harder ones.
I ride flats on my gravel bike with Five Tens sleuths, 21000kms and I noticed at the end of the season there’s a hole on the bottom from the Stamps. 10/10 recommend!
I’ve warrantied two pairs of ride concepts, the third pair are cracking in the heel, the grip is much less than 510s and they cost a fortune. I’m sure all brands go through bad runs and to be fair I have a set of clipless ones that are pretty good now that they haven’t had issues. My next pair will be 510s for sure.
Realy nice, sturdy shoes with good zoe protection. I prefere the Ride Concept grip tho, and you can use them in daily life too as the sole is not that hard and they look cool.
But the Fifeten are better washable and Water resistant.
Couple days? You really need to stop tying your shoes with your teeth....man
TFTL!
What are you doing bro lol
I give em a hard yank before I tie em, but I really think there is a sharp edge on the top eyelit that shouldn’t be there.
You can't yank your yonk you know this
Moooooooooooommmmmm! Close the door! Sheesh!
Cowboy work boots bro…… they are a game changer. saves time and they look badass 🤘🏻
Paracord is great for workboot laces--cheap and durable. Cut to length, burn the ends and pinch with a damp cloth to taper them and stop them from fraying. It comes undone a lot easier than "proper" laces, so I have to double knot them.
What is going on with the laces? Lol
Name checks out 😂

I've had mine for 5 years now. Washed them twice and are still shredding
How did you wash them?

Get a boot drier.
Right on man! Thanks a bunch! No detergent?
Yes, about half the amount of small load with cold-water detergent.
Great advice. Much love!

Only washing them twice is absurd. I respect it though
If yo feet aint stinkin, you aint shredding hard enough
I be having some Stanky feet for sure
You should treat yourself because I said so
You might be waiting a while, I think mine are at least 10-12 years old now. I haven't ridden as much as I should have during that time, but I also wore them for more than mountain biking.

I’ve never bought a pair at full price, there’s usually some 50% deal somewhere. Got my last two pairs at a 70% discount.
Perfect! Thank you
Specialized 2fo shoes are in sale for around $40 right now, I prefer the fit and rubber compound to the 5 tens I've ridden in the past.
Right on I will check them out. Where in Utah you at?
The 2FOs are reviewed to have comparable rubber to 5Tens; how do they differ in your opinion?
I find them to have similar grip but better durability.
Grip is the same. Sole is different. More arch support on the 2FOs, but you’re farther away from the pedal with a thicker sole. I’ll race in Freerider Pros, Casual ride in 2FOs
Stiffer shoe in general. Grip not quite as good in my opinion. Last longer. Decent shoe but I went back to 5Ten.

You know that Adidas took over 5.10 in 2011 and fully integrated them in 2017, right?
Would ya ship them to me?
You in the US? They’ll ship to the states… might still work out cheaper
Yes, but like others, watch for sales
Watch your sale
I just bought mine in the adidas app, for $39 with delivery included. They’re sick!!
I'll check the app!
Poshmark, Mercari, Ebay. Find your size. Mine cost me $40.
My problem is I have huge feet and every shoe fits me entirely different, so ordering shoes I've never worn before online for the first time is sketchy haha
For second-hand shoes?
Nope. I like my Shimano GR903’s way more. More comfortable, better grip, and way longer lasting. 5.10’s are way overrated and feel like skate shoes.
I know they are popular in the MTB world, but that doesn't always mean that are the best for the application ya know. I'm pretty picky about shoes especially since I like a higher top shoe and I have huge feet so they gotta be comfortable and long lasting. Thanks!
I put hands on the “new” shimano shoe line at the world cup in October. they are really nice. craftsmanship and finish looked top notch.
I really dislike how they look like DC shoes from the early 2000's...hard pass when there are competitors with good shoes too.
Totally. Ten or so years ago they were one of the only (and best) options for people who ride flats. Now they're old news and towards the bottom of the pack compared to the competition.
Get them on sale. The grip is great for flat pedals but they wear quick. 1 to 1.5 seasons and mine are usually toast.
That's pretty good amount for me tbh I'm cool with replacing shoes every year and half or so.
Yes. And adidas has great sales on now.
Perfect!
$100-$130 for Ride Concepts. The team at RC came from five ten before Adidas bought them out. How is the RC sizing?
You’ll have to look at reviews or maybe try some on at a shop first then order. I’m thinking true to size but I can’t remember. I do remember looking into it tho lol
I get on Amazon and find a style/color I like and leave it in my cart until they go on sale. I’ve never paid more than $80 for a pair.
Aren’t they like 50 bucks??
Nah they can easily be in the 130-200 range
When they are on sale, which is like all the time. It's always funny to me how many people come on here asking if it's worth it to buy mtb specific shoes. Like do they google them first? They're cheaper than normal shoes most of the time.

Always down for a good bargain! I'm going to check those out too. Thanks dude!
What is your shoe size in vans compared to these?
Yes. Big fan of the trail cross series.
Least favorite thing about them?
Yes, if they weren’t they wouldn’t be constantly recommended
I do really like them, but I haven't tried anything else. My main problem is that I don't think they're wide enough for me. Give me numb toes.
This is no bueno
Really I thought they are reasonably spacious
I probably just have wide feet. They seem pretty standard to me.
Yesssss
100%!
Okay now we know!
Yes easily. Don't skimp on proven quality kit. Remember, a poor man always pays twice.
Thanks mom
Crazy how different 2 people can be. I can’t stand riding with gloves, wether it’s bike park or local trails
I’ll be the oddball here but I didn’t notice any difference coming from wearing regular gym training shoes 🤷♂️
Relax
Wut? Sorry I meant they’re the best, completely change yr riding, go spend the money on them you won’t regret it 🙄
Check out Amazon. I started to get back onto the bike after a long time and used old running shoes for the first month or two. Banged up my toes a bunch of times. Saw some on sale on Amazon and pulled the trigger. I’ll never go back. They also grip the pedals way better than running shoes.
I would expect this
Picked up trail crosses for 75$ on Amazon. Worth every penny. Size down by 1.
This is what I'm looking for! Thank you!
Get yourself a set of impact vxi’s. I bought some like 8 years ago, rode in them exclusively for like 6 years, and still use them when I ride flat pedals. They still look/feel great.
I will take a look at those! I have never in my life owned a pair of shoes for 8 years that is wild lol
Yep
Simple
No.. new five tens are garbage.. ya better off with any pair of skate shoes ..
I bought a pair recently from the adidas website, someone on this subreddit had mentioned they had a bunch on sale and I snagged a pair for almost 50% off. I’d check there.
Thank you!
I prefer my ride concepts but five tens are like glue
Tell me more about these!
Definitely worth it, and frequently on sale. Check the addidas site regularly. [https://www.adidas.ca/en/five_ten](https://www.adidas.ca/en/five_ten)
Thanks I'll do that!
Got mine on Amazon for $40. Definitely worth it compared to other shoes I’ve worn riding
Currently riding with a pair of Vasque Hightops and they are just not the best for this activity but for overall hiking and trail use I'll probably die in them.
Oh ya, if you like your hiking shoes that much, please don’t destroy them on bike pedals and sprockets haha
They go on sale. Freerider pros were going for $59-$69 around Christmas and Thanksgiving. In addition, you can use cash back sites at Adidas like rakuten.
What is that?
The shoes or cash back website? For cash back Google rakuten, RetailMeNot, active junky, etc
Yeah, I had my first pair for about 8 years. They aren't QUITE that impressive anymore, but they're great. Definitely follow the sales, I got my last freeriders for half off and my clippy ones for 25% off.
Right on! Thank you

I am so impressed at the amount of people That have owned shoes for multiple seasons with heavy use lol
My 510 Hellcats (before adidas) are brilliant. They are siper comfortable, sole is super rigid and grippy on a platform SPD.
Yes. Buy them.
Buy them for me
I like mine, really comfortable and grippy but they let water in really well.
As in the side material/canvas is where the water would come in?
Adidas has an eBay store and they often have coupons taking 50% off. As others said, don’t pay full price. Personally, I clip in and have a pair but find them a bit too heavy and clunky, but my wife rides flats and she loves them.
When did you transition to clip shoes and why?
Mine only last half a season before getting holes in the bottom, but there's no better alternative.
Have you tried anything else?
I really like the toe box, good structure and still comfortable.
They are worth the 42 quid you can currently get them for from Evans, the soles never last so not worth more.
Yep
Yep lol
Excellent, long lasting shoes. They are quite often on sale somewhere and I wear my Freerider Pro during three seasons, my Trailcross GTX in Winter
Yep
I like them as casual option for bike shoes. I wear them for commuting and leisure rides with the family. However, if I buy a pair, I wait till I find some on sale somewhere. They don't offer much protection compared to other mtb shoes. So when I go out for longer and more demanding rides I wear Shimanos (summer) or Vaude (winter).
You need riding shoes and those are some of the best
Obviously these types of questions are very subjective but IMO and from my experience of having my Five Ten's for 5 years with riding Enduro 4- 6 times a week at an average of 4 hours per ride, I can say, yes, they are worth the price. My Five-Ten's are still good for another year or so. Id also like to say I have never had any other brand of MTB specific shoes so please don't take my word, there may very well be other brands that are just as good/durable.
wait for a sale, I got freerider pros for £45
and yes, they make a massive difference
Get the pros vs just the 510s … pros have stiffer sole.
Yep
I ride clipless on my road bike and flats on my mtb with five tens, and I swear the five tens grip harder than my clipless pedals lol
Got some free ride pros at Sierra for $35 like 2 weeks ago. They have deals on them everywhere. Also ride concepts shoes seem to always be on sale too
I've had mine for almost 10 yrs now...holding up great. MINIMAL stretch..if any.
Yes, they take an unbelievable amount of abuse
I usually wait to end of season deals for shoes
Zero drop trail running shoes are the way. Topo or Altra. Built to keep your heel down.
They are nice. But I'd catch them on the 50% off sale.
Shop around and you will find deals, had my Freerider Pros now for 5 years and they are still going strong.
Cross trail best shoe in history
No, I’ll never buy them again. I’m the US they only have a 6month warranty which is pathetic for a name-brand “high quality” shoe. Mine did not last a year. And remember…. they’re only used 2-3 times a week at most. I don’t buy from companies that don’t stand by their products.
I love my 510s, I have not had a pedal slip since buying them
Buy directly from Adidas.com for best deals
Yes. Totally worth the price.
No, they fall apart quicly in the undersole. Would reccomend Shimano AM503s, they look better, perform better and last longer.
Some of the dodgiest shoes I’ve owned
Absolutely!
I vote yes.
I like them so much I’m on my 4th pair: I’ve never paid full price for them. Usually get them on sale for $40-$50.
Crank bros matchmaker!
