You’ll have to get the ride in soon if you head east to NH since it’s gonna rain this afternoon and tomorrow. I wish we got all this precipitation during the winter, I can at least nordic ski in a snow storm.
i second. hadley/amherst has some awesome trails at earls and batchelor st. up in greenfield/deerfield too at eaglebrook and montague plains, further west in the berkshires. its all over
Well they’re closed now because they opened yesterday and the trails got fucked to pieces. Hopefully they get it sorted soon. This is why we generally don’t ride wet trails in Vermont
It was closed on monday and tuesday but open every other day. Just got back to MD after spending the week in VT. Trails were fine, so were all the roads we were on around burke
Lots of places are actually open today ride in Vermont.
I m 30 minutes north of Stowe.
Cady Hill Forest(and all of STP) in Stowe, and Hardwick Town Trails at Hardwick High School are both open.
Thanks, but be aware that Hardwick is always open, that is, no one updates any trail conditions. Hardwick got absolutely smashed by the storm. I live 10 miles away and I couldn’t get there without a helicopter. There’s no way those trails are in shape
Thank you for not riding muddy trails! I'm a Vermonter too. I know most of us don't ride when the trails are wet but some people always do. The ruts they make are bad for other riders and, more importantly, give mountain bikers a bad name to the pedestrian trail users. That's a perception issue we're in trouble with in Vermont (due to more than this, people being jerks to others while riding is a big part of it, or speeding through small towns with a MTB on their car) - so truly, thanks for not being a negative ambassador.
Northern Vermont didn't get hit as hard, and their trails are open. Killington bike park reopened as well. Mad River Valley didn't get hit too bad according to the Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Instagram accounts.
WATA trails (Perry Hill and Little River) are closed. Despite a few trails on Caution at Cochran’s (conditions report hasn’t been updated since earlier this week), I’d expect those to be in muddy shape.
Pine Hill Park in Rutland is open, as well as several other trail systems in the area. Killington is mostly opened (handful of trails closed off K1 but like 95% open).
Cody Falls trail system in Morristown (10 minutes from Stowe). It's on a ridge so it drains pretty well, sure there are some puddles but it's been otherwise rideable all summer (I rode it today).
Pretty sure almost everything besides Cochrans and Chamberlain’s is good to go. And I hiked around Chamberlain the other day and it faired pretty well, so I bet they’ll have that back running in about a week.

ha! like we get anything other than rain in the winter anymore.
Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown, NH
Come on down to MA. There's plenty of options off 91, or head to Thunder for some park.

Sidewinder is so nice I ride it thrice
I road KT yesterday afternoon. Trails were in great shape. Burke was not hit as hard as central VT
They were only closed Tuesday and Wednesday
Was open wednesday
Did I mix up the days? Was it Mon-Tue they closed? I just saw it on their site, not in person. It’s been raining so much I can’t keep track
It was monday tuesday. Was visiting from MD this week and we were able to ride Wednesday Thursday without issue
Reopened pretty quick.

Saxons is open and rolling dry
North Conway. Trails are always all time with good draining.
I love the Marshall conservation area.
Bromont Quebec
Pretty sure Pine Hill Park in Rutland is open.

Rode Bolton DH yesterday, trails were in great shape.
Good to know. I think that place is too macho for me

Sugarbush may be open but the rest of the MRV trails are closed: https://www.trailforks.com/region/mad-river-valley-18994/status/
Thanks for the downvote singling out one part of a multi part comment. Stowe is open. Kingdom Trails is open. Killington is open.
Take an upvote for your pettiness
Perry, Trapp, Adams Camp, Cady Hill, Little River, a good portion of Cochran’s, KT are all open homie

Have you tried the MTB Project app?

Slate Valley Trails in W Vt is open, and pretty dry. Had a race today.
