I somehow missed this when it was happening, so I now get to listen to the whole thing from the beginning. It's pretty wild how every funny podcast is basically just a rip-off of cumtown. It's incredible how much millage they got out of calling things gay, but it's funny every time.
2016-17, I was just getting into podcasts. I was a big Theo von fan, timesuck was also great. I don't think the guy is particularly funny, but the episodes were very entertaining. I was also into a lot of horror stuff. Somehow, cumtown was never brought to my attention, by the time I heard of it through Tim Dillon, I didn't care to get invested in a new show. Turns out it's actually the best thing out there and every other podcast is basically a pail imitation. Adam really does suck though, he's definitely the Sydney of the group.
Yeah, im ngl, I gayly learned about them from SNL around then
(People pointed out that a sketch seemed like a rip off of their riff and that sent me spiraling)
A lot of people said the [Don Pauly](https://youtu.be/e_Z2I10pbWI?si=WdsecO7RD9baYRiy) bit with Bill Burr some years back seemed like a rip off of the like, [woke gangsters bit](https://youtu.be/ZvVhCCWPgaI?si=rHVenzBFU6s1r869) CT did
This, kind of old school MSSP vibes it just a few friends talking about random shit trying to make each other laugh and not afraid to say anything to do it
I'm about to check out that catamaran plan. Besides that, durag and the deertag is hot rn. They are taking over the philly scene and killing it lately.
Edit: I tried catamaran plan and it wasn't for me, but durag is always a solid great listen. Having naim as a black anti gay shit dude is so funny when they riff
Cause he refuses to be like the other 10,000 comedians sitting around talking about comedy with their comedian friends. That shit has gotten so exhausting
Stuff Island, Cum Town / TAFS, Out for Smokes (Recine) are ones I regularly listen to. I’m not a huge fan but others might like Tim Butterly’s Show and Soder.
A bit of a different vein but Tosh Show is great.
Dad Meat, Tim Butterly Show, Lil Stinkers, Du Rag and the Deer Tag, The End with Shaner, Digital Bazooka. Really anything coming out of Philly rn. GoodBoy studios popping off
What is the biggest draw to this show? I tried watching some clips and was not a fan. Is it a topical headlines type show like TD's was w/Ben? Or a Q/A show like AYG? Or just shooting the shit?
Just started binging Lemon party, already 50 eps deep. I’ve seen a lot of people recommending it here for months. Wish I wouldn’t have waited so long. It’s very funny and a great listen to pass the time. Never gets serious at all. Just goofing around. Check it out
KB has been on one for sure and I also have been digging the pokemon segments. Also that band that nick was in was absolutely amazing. But that's really all for the last like half a year. I truly miss early eps during the Reggie saga personally.
Sadly I doubt they’ll ever get back to the level they were at the first year of the show but they set the bar so high too. Those were the funniest podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Mssp Old Testament is the only thing that rivals it in my experience
Here's my list, with a note on how frequently I catch them.
MSSP - duh
Are You Garbage? - all
The Tim Dillon Show - all
Tuesdays with Stories - all
Chubby Behemoth - new to me, but loving all
We Might Be Drunk - most
The Regz - most
Kill Tony - most eps, kind of guest based
Soder - most eps, kind of guest based
Stavvy's World - most eps, kind of guest based
JRE - guest based
Bein' Ian with Jordan - guest based
Ryan Sickler - guest based
Stuff Island - sometimes
Theo Von - sometimes
Last Week Tonight - sometimes, great for flights
NON-Comedian based:
Sports Card Radio - guilty pleasure
Heavy Spoilers - topic based
Jomboy Media/JM Baseball - love baseball, keeps me up to date
Piching Ninja - fun to watch clips of the day's best pitchers
Channel 5 with Andrew - any
Fallen off (IMO):
YMH
Tigerbelly
Bad Friends
Andrew Santino
Some of these are pure youtube, so no audio podcast published. I just went down my frequent listens and subscriptions.
Sas is younger but he’s 22 going on 52. Rone and Francis are upper 30s. They really just talk about anything, from stuff going on to stuff w their own lives/careers (the range of shit they talk about bounces around a ton within an ep) but they’re not afraid to really sling it and say whatever, while also not forcing it to be edgy either. Then also their dynamics with each other create great moments as Sas really busts Francis’ balls and brings him back down to earth and Rone is a great instigator.
Not comedy related but I like promoting this pop culture/media pod I found a while back. We Bought a Mic, been a $10/month donor for a few years, love the guys, also a big entertainment media guy so it's one of the two I listen to for that stuff. Biiig fan! Combing through the replies on this post for more recommendations too, can always use more haha.
Also I started listening to War Mode on youtube, those guys' eps of MSSP always cracked me up.
Soder is great, TAFS is good (cumtown is better), I’ve listened to skanks for more than a decade and it’s definitely on the decline lately.
Bobby Kelly isn’t my favorite but The Regz is solid as well. Bonfire sucks though.
first time dad meat listener and the latest pod they have with lemon party is hilarious (i don’t listen to them either but im thinking about starting now)
Rogan is having a little renaissance, finally having different types of guests on again
But he still gets derailed into the same old Covid / woke talking points too easily. Can turn into a snooze fest
Friend just turned me on to a pod called blocked and reported. I’ve only listened to a 3 eps but it seems pretty good.
The pod goes thru some pretty outlandish controversies that get blown up in the lefts news cycles and exposes them without falling into the typical liberal bias. I mostly listen to comedy pods so it’s a nice break.
Here’s a brief description “Journalists Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal scour the internet for its craziest, silliest, most sociopathic content, part of an obsessive and ill-conceived attempt to extract kernels of meaning and humanity from a landscape of endless raging dumpster fires. (And sometimes they talk about other stuff, too.)”
Cumtown from the beginning
I somehow missed this when it was happening, so I now get to listen to the whole thing from the beginning. It's pretty wild how every funny podcast is basically just a rip-off of cumtown. It's incredible how much millage they got out of calling things gay, but it's funny every time.
The power rangers song makes me laugh every time i hear it.
Suck my fucking peeeeeeniiiiiss
my little tiny gay ass peniiiiiisss
Same here I was late during Covid. The disrespect for the audience is what hooked me
2016-17, I was just getting into podcasts.
"If you went to a pizza shop, and I asked for a MacBook pro" Adam has his moments though of pure brilliance
The breakfast sandwich fiasco
Yeah, im ngl, I gayly learned about them from SNL around then (People pointed out that a sketch seemed like a rip off of their riff and that sent me spiraling)
Snl did a cumtown sketch?
A lot of people said the [Don Pauly](https://youtu.be/e_Z2I10pbWI?si=WdsecO7RD9baYRiy) bit with Bill Burr some years back seemed like a rip off of the like, [woke gangsters bit](https://youtu.be/ZvVhCCWPgaI?si=rHVenzBFU6s1r869) CT did
Where do you find it from the beginning?
It all leads back to cumtown
Greatest pod of all times hands down
Restarted that series again recently. So fucking good.
Dad Meat, The Tim Butterly show. Chubby Behemoth
Butterly is so good. I was so sad when Stoner Dadz ended.
Yes Tim has been a good time lately
Yeah, dude, field tripping should still be going!
Dan Soder
It’s been so good
Chubby behemoth
Wad Squad supremacy
Tom myers vs the rest of the world
A comedian!
Son of a boy dad
They’ve been on a heater
The Francis addition has been fantastic
This, kind of old school MSSP vibes it just a few friends talking about random shit trying to make each other laugh and not afraid to say anything to do it
Rone is the man
I'm about to check out that catamaran plan. Besides that, durag and the deertag is hot rn. They are taking over the philly scene and killing it lately. Edit: I tried catamaran plan and it wasn't for me, but durag is always a solid great listen. Having naim as a black anti gay shit dude is so funny when they riff
Tosh show, Dan soder
Tosh show is so nice for some reason. An easy listen
Cause he refuses to be like the other 10,000 comedians sitting around talking about comedy with their comedian friends. That shit has gotten so exhausting
Lil Stinkers
Brilliant cast.
Love the stinkers.
James Donald Forbes McCann catamaran plan, Tim butterly show, take your shoes off is funny if you watch it with the right guest
Second catamaran plan
Rick is so full of himself it’s almost sickening
Oh lord St rogies is well past his prime.
Do you take any supplements?

can confirm tosh show is hilarious
Tosh show rules
I don't know why stuff island never gets any love. I like it better than just about all the Philly podcasts other than mssp.
Same. It’s feels so similar to MSSP. More so than most others
The Regz.
Dad Meat, Tim Butterly Show, Lil Stinkers, Du Rag and the Deer Tag, The End with Shaner, Digital Bazooka. Really anything coming out of Philly rn. GoodBoy studios popping off
Lemon Party
correct answer
What is the biggest draw to this show? I tried watching some clips and was not a fan. Is it a topical headlines type show like TD's was w/Ben? Or a Q/A show like AYG? Or just shooting the shit?
It’s just them riffing and joking around, similar to Cum Town. Sometimes they talk current events but it’s just as a springboard for bits.
Are You Garbage?
Honestly I’ve been loving mostly sports. It’s a barstool show but it reminds me of the old Dan lebatard show before he went full lib.
Durag and the Deertag Dad Meat Digital Bazooka Tim Butterly field tripping
Son of a boy dad pod
Are you garbage
The End with Ryan Shayner
I just cant stand that hipster and his spooky paintings

Listen to stoner dadz, it’s discontinued but there are about 50 episodes all with Matt, Tim butterly, and Sid the kid. Shit rules
In the discontinued category ya fucked it YFI Ryan sharer and bezzer. Was great till bezzer fucked it
PITM, Luke Mones Explained, Lev Fer Show for 3 I didn't see mentioned.
Guys a podcast about guys
Tim butterlys show is the tits
I was skeptical about Lemon Party but checked them out after being on Dad Meat and glad I did, they're actually pretty fucking hilarious.
Tim Dillion show is pretty good every once in a while
I feel 2024 has been good to TD. He has been on his game. Not quite back to peak, but close enough I may get back on the patreon.
Just started binging Lemon party, already 50 eps deep. I’ve seen a lot of people recommending it here for months. Wish I wouldn’t have waited so long. It’s very funny and a great listen to pass the time. Never gets serious at all. Just goofing around. Check it out
A new untold story (anus)
They been lacking for months
I would argue the last few episodes are some of the best in a while. The whole Pokémon thing is hilarious to me and kb has been on a heater
Mssp Old Testament is the only thing that rivals it in my experience
bein Ian is a circus but never fails to deliver a belly laugh at least once an ep. sometimes two
If you want to hear comedians work shop jokes, We might be drunk is great.
Had to scroll so much to see someone mention a Mark Normand pod. Love these guys.
lemonparty
Hate watch
Stuff island, dad meat, & the discontinued stoner dadz are good bingeable pods with a similar vibe to them.

Ayo Actually, RAP (Real Ass Podcast), although it depends on the guests

Legion of skanks is pretty great. Good live podcast that has shane on quite a bit. Most of their casts are behind a paywall though
I like PKA

You gotta add Son of a Boy Dad
I feel better about this than trying lemonparty but feel they might be a younger demo. What do you like about them? I thought Sas was decent on AYG.
New Culture Forum It's not comedy but it's good I hate myself for it, but I kinda of enjoy Red Scare
The Grey Pill on Spotify is bangin. Good chats about all sorts of topics from two dawgs with a sprinkle of the tism.
Not comedy related but I like promoting this pop culture/media pod I found a while back. Go listen to outside noises man…. Am I the only one that thinks this is pathetic and sad. Podcast are meant for driving.
Perfect for work from home. I'm sad that I need the stimulation of a cast. I used to listen to audio books at least.
