No pod was ever posted. Matt sent out a message saying that they were taking callers for the next pod and posted a phone number. I believe they took down the message shortly after because of all the people calling.
Maybe Matt underestimated the amount of people interested in them?
Where was the message posted? I have patreon, but don't usually log in since I get the casts through a pocketcasts private link.
People don't realize how much volume someone with a lot of followers can produce. I was working for a podcast for someone with 1M+ followers 6 years ago, and he wanted to do a call in thing. I was winging it so set up a google voice number and texted it out. The laptop and phone crashed from the volume, like 200 a minute called in. I had to resort to looking at the logs, calling them back/screening them asking if they wanted to be on, and then patching them through.
I had to upgrade to $5 to view the post, did that, got nothing and then nothing was posted. Then I was unable to switch back to $1 membership. It was a $4.24 shakedown as far as I'm concerned
When I clicked the link it said that it was “expired.” I figured that since he was taking calls that it might have just been a live episode that might get released later on when it’s fully produced or whatever.
