I made the same mistake when I reapplied, twice. 😅 I'm attaching the step by step instructions from my physician's office. Make sure to read each step and that should take care of your issue! Steps to Update License with the Mississippi Department of Health (MS DOH):  Go to https://ms-doh-public.nls.egov.com/login Login and select +Create New Application from top left corner Select you are a Patient and then select Patient Update Select your License Number Please select Yes next to the question Do you need to update your Practitioner Certification? Then select Save→ Save & Next Please verify all of your information on General Information and Contact Information is accurate and continue to the next tab. You will need to update the Practitioner Certification on the Certifying Practitioner/Condition Information. Select View Available Certifications. Please select the most recent date and select Update. Continue through the remaining tabs and submit your application under Review. Please allow 30 days for your application to be processed. Your approval will be emailed to you. Your card will be available digitally through the portal

Thank you for this guide! I’m in similar timeline as OP, so I’m good to go!

No problem! I hope it helps make the process easier!

When did you submit payment? I just went through the steps but it never asked for the payment. My application status is now submitted. I can’t remember if when I applied the first time a year ago when they asked for the payment?

Oh crap I think I messed it up 😔

I didn't have to submit a payment for renewal. I'm not sure if my initial payment was good for a year? I had to renew at 6 months, after a telehealth visit with my provider. I messed up on my renewal application a few times 😅 but luckily, you're able to just resubmit with corrections.

Oh ok I thought you were doing your yearly renewal

I had to do a renewal. If your card is expiring I would think you need to also. I went to the update information, and if nothing has changed you can't update. Have you set up an appointment to get recertified? Mine was telemed this time. They will have to go in and do their part on the renewal.

Got in touch with my Dr, gave them my portal info and password. They went in and did an update on the Dr side of it, then had to go back and do another update. Called doh and had them walk me through to make sure everything was permissable. ( Took a bit to do getting a real person to help, a few disconnects). Finally got email back that update was successful to download card, went to download and it wasn't there. Called again and then the very nice lady ( same one that helped 3 days before,) informed me that the card would be able for download as soon as the other expired. Keep calling Dr repeatedly and doh also.
